Sneak Peek at Rainbow Roll from Camilla d'Errico x Toyqube

A new sneak peek of Camilla d'Errico's upcoming toy collaboration with Toyqube has surfaced! Camilla's most recent designer toy release, as part of J*Ryu x Kidrobot's Arcane Divination series, was a little bit of a darker tone overall. So seeing this cute little sushi getting set for 2018's table is a nice contrast. This little morsel is based on a painting by the same title, Rainbow Roll.

And looks to have been recently previewed as a prototype at December 2017's Hong Kong Toy Con.

With a 2018 projected release date for these cuties getting served up, it'll be the first time I'm looking forward to some foodpics!

SNEAK PEEK: Letterpress Prints to Accompany Mike Mignola Monkey with a Gun Sculptures

Bigshot Toyworks has just released images of the letterpress prints that will accompany the first 100 orders of Mike Mignola's Money with a Gun sculpture that they developed alongside Mike. These prints will be signed by Mike and included in the packages for the first 100 customers. Still more preorder slots open for both Bone and Bronze color variants of the Monkey sculpt, but no further prints will be produced or included with preorders from here on out.

Monkeys are on the water and will arrive and ship to customers in approx one month.

SNEAK PEEK: Jason Freeny Balloon Dog Anatomy Figures coming soon

VERY EXCITING NEWS! Our buddy Jason Freeny has announced his next Anatomy production figure - the Balloon Dog Anatomy! This AWESOME follow-up to the ridiculously popular Gummi Bear Anatomy figure (which is now totally sold out) will be available in our shop. Not sure of the timeline of that release, but I am hoping it's before NYCC because Jason is signing at our booth (208). Will keep you all posted of course. I know nothing about pricing, but as new info becomes available I'll post it here. Size appears to be 250mm long (9.8 inches). Color variants detailed in graphic above: clear, purple, green, pink, yellow, GID and metallic.

SNEAK PEEK: Devils Head Productions x Hellopike Bodhisattva Alavaka

SNEAK PEEK: Tenacious Toys Exclusive Bun Buns by Brent Nolasco

STOP THE PRESSES! Brent Nolasco has come out of the woodwork with a BRAND NEW resin figure (Bun Bun) and we're getting an exclusive colorway!

These deliciously smurfy Bun Bun pieces are in Brent's capable hands and he will be painting them up for us for a May release in our shop! (To see what a painted Bun Bun looks like with big googly eyes, check out Brent's shop here.)

SNEAK PEEK: PRODUCTION OF A NEW SET OF TOYS - Four Horsies of the Pocalypse tooling masters

Now that we've wrapped up the Kickstarter to fund Bigshot Toyworks' Four Horsies of the 'Pocalypse line of collectible art toys, the real fun begins! Here you see a couple of images from the factory in the very first stages of production. These are called "tooling masters" and they help the factory properly engineer the figures for production. After this stage is complete, the molds are created. Mold creation will be complete in approximately 45 days.

We will post up more images from the factory as they become available. This is so cool to me... after selling items like this for a decade with no knowledge of how they are made, I finally get the inside peek into the exact processes that go into the creation of a new art toy. I'm excited about it, so I'm sharing with you!

If you missed out on grabbing a 6-inch Maddie (from the first Kickstarter we managed), you can grab one now at the Bigshot Toyshop. We had a good quantity left.... till we sold about 150 to 200 more through the most recent Kickstarter. So the numbers are getting low... Little Maddie is a 6" figure selling at $55.

SNEAK PEEK: Mr. Fink's Fink Warriors drop Saturday Oct 4th

 
Introducing the new 2.25" resin Fink Warriors by Mr. Fink! DIYs and custom figures dropping this Saturday at 10.30pm UK time... more exclusives and colorways will be available via PlayDeadToys, Tenacious Toys and Spanky Stokes at later dates.

25 Fink Warriors will go up on the Fink website on 4/10/14 (Saturday). There will be 20 x DIY bagged (above) and 5 x hand painted, kitted up and boxed (below).



The price for the DIY is £8.50 + postage
The price for the hand painted is £10.50 + postage

Fink Warrior clones have been cast in resin by Michael 'Bubo' Reilly (of Play Dead Toys) from an original wood, wire and cloth handmade fink warrior. There will be more warrior clones and accessories to come....

They will be available from http://www.mrfinklimited.com and a further 20 of each exclusive colorway will also be available from the retailers listed below. 4 'Chase' figures will be randomly available through these retailers, each customized by Michael 'Bubo' Reilly.
