JUST LAUNCHED: Sweaties Unite: Rise of the Uber Nerd Documentary Film by Jon Schnepp on Kickstarter

"Sweaties Unite!: Rise of the Uber-Nerd!" is a feature length documentary that follows the global rise in popularity of Comic Book Based Films and Series, as well as the downsizing in Comic Book Publishing, in its shrinking sales year after year, as more and more comic book stores close each year. With Comic Conventions having now turned into basically Mass Culture Cons, most of the people attending these Conventions have never actually read any of the comics that the characters that they love seeing in the theaters or on the television screen are based on. What has created this rise and fall and total separation between these mediums, what can be done to help, and what is the future of both?

Hazarai Rack Race #2 begins Sunday 9PM; win a MOTU Trap Jaw Super Deformed plush!

The HAZARAI Rack Race online scavenger hunt is back by popular demand, and this week the prize is a Masters of the Universe Trap-Jaw 7-inch Super Deformed Plush (above).

How do you play? Glad you asked! At 9PM EST Sunday night, you'll see the links to the Rack Race #2 list posted on Hazarai's Twitter & Facebook... 

 

Once you have the list, do the following:

1.     Create a New Rack on HAZARAI called “Super Rack Race 2” and select the “Big Fun" category.

2.     Fill up your Rack by collecting at least one of each of the items from the list.

3.     The first person to post a link to their completed Rack as a comment on Hazarai's Official Challenge Facebook post wins. Here's Harazai's FB.

4.     They will also be giving out consolation prizes for the next 4 who finish after that, so don’t give up even if you’re not first.  NOTE:  anyone who finishes the challenge before they close the books on this contest is guaranteed to get a little something too.

HAZARAI is BACK!  Or if you're unfamiliar with HAZARAI, it's here!  HAZARAI is an online content sharing community for fans of all things Geek Culture. Your HAZARAI page allows you to create and display customized albums or "Racks" of your favorite geeky images, videos, GIFs and more, either from your computer or saved from around the web. You can share your Racks with the community so that others can "Re-Rack" things from them to their own pages (or you can make them private too if you like.)  
Racks are great for:
Showing off your passion. Spotlighting your collection. Showcasing what you're selling. Displaying your work. Publishing your web comic. Or promoting your Kickstarter, just to name a few.
You can even create "Group Racks" and invite others to post to them as well - something great for collaborative projects.
