JUST LAUNCHED: Sweaties Unite: Rise of the Uber Nerd Documentary Film by Jon Schnepp on Kickstarter

"Sweaties Unite!: Rise of the Uber-Nerd!" is a feature length documentary that follows the global rise in popularity of Comic Book Based Films and Series, as well as the downsizing in Comic Book Publishing, in its shrinking sales year after year, as more and more comic book stores close each year. With Comic Conventions having now turned into basically Mass Culture Cons, most of the people attending these Conventions have never actually read any of the comics that the characters that they love seeing in the theaters or on the television screen are based on. What has created this rise and fall and total separation between these mediums, what can be done to help, and what is the future of both?

JunKing Card Game hitting Kickstarter soon from Justin Hillgrove

Coming soon to Kickstarter is JunKing, a card game for 2-4 players. Artist Justin Hillgrove, working with his friends David Gerrard and Travis Torgerson, has designed a game with simple mechanics, strong strategic layers and a gameplay time of around 15 minutes. "JunKing" takes place in Junk Lands, where old, lost and broken items collect into huge heaps and mounds. The goal for each player is to hoard valuable junk, in search of the most prestigious piece of junk, The Crown. With the Kickstarter Launching on April 6th, Justin has also been busy lately attending Emerald City Comic Con and launching Issue #2 of The Imp Lands. Justin has also created some new tees, which can be purchased in-store and online from Monster Art & Clothing in Ballard, WA. Tenacious Toys ads in print in comic books!

We have teamed up with Bluewater Comics to put Tenacious Toys ads in print!

They put our ad in a number of the comics they have released this month, including the Michael Jackson tribute comic, Puppy Power: Bo Obama, Vincent Price Presents: The Tingler #1, and The Legend of Isis #5!

We don't do print ads much but it's really cool to see your store in print sometimes so we're pretty stoked!
