The Queen of the instant sell outs has done it again! Lunabee teamed up with Pepe Hiller to make these cute little hand painted wooden bees. I have to say this collaboration is amazing! With Pepe Hiller's smooth wood skills and Lunabee's painting skills, combining both skills makes for a killer combination. Although these are SOLD OUT now, I am sure with enough requests both artists would definitely be up for another collaboration! For Lunabee's website please click HERE. Big Wheels are still as popular today as they were back in the Ye Olden Times. But to find out why they have stood the test of time so far, Sara Dawkins from NannyPro wrote a very interesting article on the Top 10 Reasons of why. I will only reveal number 10 which is, "most parents these days had a Big Wheel trike when they were young and want their kids to have the same enjoyment. The nostalgia surrounding these toys has helped contribute to their continued popularity." To find out the rest of the Top 10, please click HERE!
(Benny's note: I rocked my Big Wheels so hard when I was little that wore out the front wheels on 2 of them. My Dad seems to be really proud of that... he still tell stories about that, 30 years later.)

When we got our cases of 7" Munnyworld figures from Kidrobot, the very first shipment we sent was a few Raffys going to Scott Kinnebrew. We both knew what he would do with them: DRAGON RAFFY! This one came out beautiful.
You can purchase your own Kinnebrew Dragon here. Brilliant work!

I love when I get to drop sneak peeks! Here's the upcoming 6-inch Cactus Rocker figure from tokidoki that will be released in July. His safety pins, clothing patches and guitar may make him look tough, but he needs his cactus suit for protection just as much as the rest of the Cactus Friends.
$24.95 each, in this cool amplifier packaging (below). These will be for sale in our tokidoki section.

San Diego Comic Con 2012 is coming and Furry Feline Creatives has just announced 2 exclusives for the show. Pictured above is the "Dragonmaster Ringo" which features a very cute cat with some extra deadly nunchucks. Now if I know for sure 1 thing, that would be to never trust a kitty with a pair of nunchucks and a smile. I love the color usage in "Dragonmaster Ringo" and think it will definitely be a hit to all!
The second exclusive to be released is "Puffridge Dragon." "Puffridge" is a cute little kitty dressed up in a dragon outfit. The face he is making seems to be a little frightened but maybe that is because he had just run into a real dragon. This is the first year Furry Feline Creatives has been in business and they have definitely done a great job for their releases for SDCC 2012!

These cute and devilishly stylish fiends will soon be yours to take home with you. Debuting at SDCC 2012, "The Nightmare Nursery of Gloomvania" features 5 of the cutest monsters around. Zombie, Abominable Snow Baby, Werewolf, Cyclops and a Vampire will be the first un-human babies to be featured from the collaboration between Vamplet, LLC and Comic Images. My favorite of all the babies is the Werewolf. I love the smirk of "I am up to no good" on his face. To find out more information about "The Nightmare Nursery of Gloomvania" or to pre-order a baby for 19.95 please click HERE.

We're really excited to continue our support of our favorite Goth (and minor local celebrity) Voltaire by stocking all 4 of his upcoming Toy2R Mini Qee releases: Deady Bunee (in both Color and Black/White colorways) and Sleezter Bunee (in both Color and Black/White colorways).
Deady Bunee and Sleezter Bunee are the next figures in Voltaire's popular collaboration with online role-playing game Adventure Quest.
Like the 8" Deady Bear Qee and the 5" Deady Big in Japan Mini Qee before them, all of these Bunee figures come with a game code for Adventure Quest. You can read more about that popular promotion here.
Deady and Sleezter Bunee Qees are just $28 each, no matter which colorway. You can preorder the Color versions on our site here, and as soon as we get word that they've arrived, we'll put up the Black/White versions for sale as well (FYI Black/White colorways are apparently short-packed in the cases, meaning a case of 12 Deadys will contain 8 Color figures and 4 Black/White figures).

On this 4-year anniversary of the Tenacious Toys blog, we are very proud to show you a screenshot from the backend of our blog: our monthly pageviews have jumped from under 10,000 pageviews per month in November all the way up to about 25,000 pageviews per month for the last 2 months. We are achieving these new higher numbers due to a revamp of the way we're blogging:
• I've learned how to blog from my iPhone, which means more frequent and timely posting, even as I pack orders in the warehouse and bring them to Fedex/USPS
• We've added another writer, Jared Schaller, who is definitely in tune with the art toy community
• We are now fully immersed in social media, with our blog posts shooting directly to Google+, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr, as well as daily digest emails, all of which link back to this blog
Our blog posts have earned us the recognition of Blogger's Blogs of Note blog, which also helped increase our traffic.
As the first of the month approaches, we are currently looking for a few more banner advertisers at $25/month each. These are 300 x 125 banners which appear on the right side of the screen as you read our posts. Interested parties may email Benny here.

Trunks is a new 3.5" DIY designer toy in the shape of an elephant. Made by Urban Elephant from Canada, it looks like the retail price will be $14 or $15. Right now they're testing the waters by emailing retailers like us. Trunks is articulated at the neck and shoulders. Urban Elephant says they'll be releasing painted versions in the future, but for now they're selling the DIY. Anyone interested? Leave a comment!
