We are most excited to announce PLASEEBO has joined forces with PLANET-X.
Offering the best of both worlds with hands on supervision of vinyl production in both China and
Japan.
PLANET-X will be producing and marketing an ongoing series of original PLASEEBO created
figures, beginning with the “SUM” creature.
The first release of the “SUM” creature in vinyl will be on May 5th in Japan at the MANDARAKE
"Indy Sofubi Rally”.

" THE LEGEND OF SUM "
Driving home from the local red neck bar one moon lit summer night, Roy swerves his pick up toward a dark shape that is slowly moving along side the road. A loud CRACK shatters the darkness as the front tire breaks the giant snapping turtles' shell in two, right down the center. The great snapper rolls down the embankment into the stream and Roy's laughing fades as the truck turns to cross the bridge to his shabby farm house across the stream.
The turtle, floating belly up is carried downstream to the other side and is swept into a quiet eddy where he sinks watching the moon fade from yellow to blood red through the darkening water.
This small pool cut into the bank of the stream was at the back Roy's property and he used it as his personal dump site. The water caught in this hole became a terrible toxic soup of motor oil, fertilizer, broken toys, bones and entrails of many slaughtered animals, rusty tools and who knows what else.
Over the next few months, a strange transformation took place in this evil chowder as it baked in the summer heat. A creature of revenge, born of cruelty and neglect slid its way out of the sickening mess one dark September night.
Roy's body was never found, nor could anyone explain the slime trail from the bedroom through the field behind the house.
Over the years that followed, other neglectful farmers vanished on moonless nights and folks reported vague sightings of a creature that seamed to be cobbled together from a collection of garbage, an old doll, bone, rotted skin, and broken tools, with a large snapping turtle skull for a head. They call him "SUM".

Today we are thrilled to announce another round of exclusive Rampage Toys sofubi releases.
This round includes Ugly & Uglier Unicorns, Ugly Onicorns &
Cyclops Dinos, some with exclusive paint and some in exclusive blank
soft vinyl.
Primarily Primary Uglier Unicorns are limited to 40 pieces max in this exclusive paint. These are 3.5" tall sofubi figures at $40 each.
The Tiger Color Cyclops Dino sets
(BELOW) are two different three-piece sets of 3-inch-tall sofubi figures
painted in an exclusive tiger stripe colorway. Set A includes
Duobrontoclops, Stegoclops and Triceraclops. Set B includes Pteroclops,
Protoceraclops and Plesioclops. Each 3pc set is $45 and there is a limit
of 15 total sets of each.
Rampage Toys has also assigned some exclusive blanks to Tenacious Toys (BELOW): the Rampage x Konatsuya Ugly Onicorn is a 5-inch-tall blank in a lovely dark teal blue vinyl, and there is a matching blank original Ugly Unicorn in the same teal color
(UU is also a 5" tall figure). Both the teal Onicorn and the teal UU
are $30 each and Tenacious Toys has 20 total units of each to sell.

Feeling super special and on top of things this week as we had arranged with Taiwan's talented JT Studio to import his lineup of sofubi YOX figures... then I read a wrap up post by Gary at the Toy Chronicle about his top 10 of 2017... and YOX was #5 on his list! Guess we know how to pick em!
HUGE props to JT Studio for working with us on getting his YOX figures into the US. We have 5 colorways ready to ship right here. Move fast because we are half sold out of Blue already after only a few days!
YOX figures are vinyl, 11cm (4 inches) tall and priced between $60 and $70 ea depending on color. All are very limited in production numbers.

LUCKY CAT 5-INCH SOFUBI FIGURE KICKSTARTER:
Who is Lucky Cat? Lucky Cat is by far my most obsessive drawing to date. He lands on almost every page of my sketchbook. With his half missing arm and missing eye there, he makes you wonder how can he be so lucky? He is branded with the lucky 13 on his belly to guide him through his troubles ! There is something very cute about him, but also an air of mystery to his personality as well as how he lost his arm and eye ! We will all know soon enough in the mini- comic included with the vinyl toy. I think he has a mischievous side !!
Bigger is Better!
I wanted to go bigger. Why not !!! Here is a direct comparison with the Mickey Monster and Lucky Cat is much bulkier and larger than Mickey Monster. I also tried my best to keep the cost down so that he could be shared with as many people as possible.
$50 for a toy, what are you nuts !!!! Yes !!!! Very !!!! Compared to most Japanese toys this is cheap, especially for his size. I will also be creating a cool box to package him in. Speaking of package......

We've teamed up with Rampage Toys once again to drop a couple exclusive sofubi figures just before Halloween.
The
Blue Specter Zombie Hag creeps it up with doll eyes and a removable Hag
head which can be displayed on its own as a frightening Hagball. Blue
Specter Zombie Hag is 10 inches of clear blue soft vinyl, painted by Jon
Malmstedt. These Hags are $120 each and limited to 6 pieces.
The
tasty little Cornicorno is 1.5 inches of yellow sofubi, painted by Jon
Malmstedt to resemble everyone's favoritest Halloween candy treat. There
are 25 of the little Cornicornos available at $15 each.
Blue Specter Zombie Hags and Cornicornos will be available on the Tenacious Toys site on Monday October 23 at 4PM EST.
