Say Utinni by Buzzard Guts
Hand cast and painted 3.75" scale carded figure
Signed and numbered edition of 30
$45

Buzzard Guts was founded in 1994 as a hand distributed "fan" zine by self proclaimed "artist" and multi-dimensional guru Dain A. Marx who has been creating and exploring alternate universes since the early 70s. Now, Buzzard Guts produces kit bashed hand cast resin figures from a trailer in the woods. These "bootleg toys" of characters from alternate realities feature collaborations from various talented illustrators like Neil Devlin of Last Boss Comics, Ryan Winn of Valiant Comics and maybe one day, you!

Buzzard guts has two pieces for this show. The first is an 80s throwback.
He says "In the 80's I rented a lot of videos from the local video store. I'd get a lot of different things but was always looking for movies that were more like Star Wars. One day I thought how cool would it be if all movies were like Star Wars. Within that thought a universe was created." From this alternate reality Buzzard Guts presents a slice of nostalgia representing a charming tale of first love between an eternally optimistic Jawa and a sophisticated Astromech droid. Say something smart, say something clever, say something real, say utinni!

3.75" handcrafted Resin figure on cardback.
Illustrated by Last Boss Comics.

Boba-Stein by Buzzard Guts
Hand cast and painted 3.75" scale carded figure
Signed and numbered edition of 30
$55

Here it is! Just in time for Halloween! If you're a fan of Boba Fett and Frankenstein but already have a Franken Fett then look no further! Boba-Stein is everyone's new favorite zombie clone! Crafted in the dreary south by DAM and presented to you by Buzzard Guts. Each 3.75" resin figure is hand painted and mounted on a silk-screened card back with illustration by Last Boss Comics. Each card includes a unique personal touch and they Glow in the Dark!

Emperor Cryogenius by Acquired Taste Industries
Hand cast and painted 3.75" scale carded figure
Signed and numbered edition of 30
$65

Can't say for sure but this looks to be an r2 dome made out of the top of a Magical Floridian Giant Golfball. And what is that inside, Walt frozen in ice? Hands of our favorite mouse?

Thought long dead, Emperor Cryogenius continues to rule the galaxy secretly from the catacombs of an amusement park shrine he built as a tribute to himself, now more powerful than ever.

DKE Toys at NYCC 2017 - Batch #2 of 3: Little Lazies, RYCA, Junk Fed, and Dollar $lice Bootlegs

by
Lucky Chew by Little Lazies
Individually hand sculpted 2" figure
Signed and numbered edition of 35
$55

Each piece is hand sculpted by Leah Lester of Little Lazies.
No two are exactly the same but they are so close to one another that it's kind of hard to imagine that they aren't cast.

Bio: Little Lazies are weird, little, clay creatures made by Leah Lester, a monster maker living in Seattle, WA. How did it all start? Leah was a full time cake decorator who very much enjoyed sculpting out of edible paste for the cakes she created. One sunny day in June 2010 she said to herself, "I want to make a monster for the top of this cake!" So she did just that... Soon after, her friends started encouraging her to create these characters into clay; something that they could keep for a lifetime. So with that, Leah bought some clay and with lots of practice, experimenting, character developing and imagination her monsters evolved into what they are today - the Little Lazies! Recycle the Giant by RYCA
Hand cast and painted 5" carded figure
Signed and numbered edition of 20
$65

Ryan Callanan a.k.a RYCA has long since been one of the most sought after artists at artrepublic. He burst onto the scene back in 2006 with his Star Wars inspired print, Reservoir Troopers (red) that sold out at in astonishingly quick time. In May of the same year thieves broke into the gallery and stole the same piece, believing it to be a Banksy. The artist told us at the time that he was quite chuffed with the mistake. He graduated from art school in 2002 and was inspired to create his first print, Ona Islam after visiting the acclaimed London exhibition of Banksy works, 'Santa's Ghetto' in 2006. Other sources of inspiration include cult classics, the Star Wars franchise, Pop Art, and the Renaissance. uDrawing inspiration for his career as a 3D sign writer, RYCA incorporates a wide use of materials including resin and glass into his sculptural pieces. With his in-depth knowledge of materials and craftsmanship he is currently working on new projects with hip-hop song lyrics alongside numerous public commissions. RYCA made headlines when he realized his 'Acid Cup', a handcrafted replicate of the World Cup trophy, to coincide with the 2014 tournament in Brazil. Big Beat DJ and Brighton hero Fatboy Slim loved RYCA's sculpture so much he took one on tour with him as he played a host of huge gigs around the country. He has exhibited worldwide and enjoyed a number of highly successful solo shows, also collaborating with a number of well respected artists including Ben Eine, David Walker and Stik.

RYCA said that Andre never got a chance to wear his own shirt. Here the famous meme is now recycled as a figure. Reminiscent of the 90s Hasbro WWF figures.

The Stay Fresh Man by RYCA
Hand cast and painted 6" carded figure
Signed and numbered edition of 30
$80

UK Street artist RYCA had such a huge success at SDCC with Wampapi that he had to make more BIG STUFF.
Each piece is almost 1.5 pounds of resin on hand silk screened and laser cut card back. He even vacuforms his own blisters.

Stay Fre$h is a hustler from the mean streets of 80's NYC, after getting blasted by four guys in '84, he never goes anywhere without his vest.

Space Madness Mirror Universe Spocktrooper by Junk Fed
Hand cast and painted 3.75" carded figure
Signed and numbered edition of 20
$80

This is what looks to be the final installment of Junk Fed's Space Madness series. The Mirror version of our favorite Vulcan.

G.I. Blow the Crusty Clown by Dollar $lice Bootlegs

Dollar Slice is at it again and this time with a not so politically correct version of this cartoonish clown. Junkie got in trouble and now you can own it.
Hand cast and painted 3.75" carded figure. Magnet articulated.
Signed and numbered edition of 30
$55

Bio: John Pryor better known as Dollar $lice Bootlegs is a yeti on acid.  Hailing from Carmel Valley, CA, John Pryor improves the planet one toy at a time with a heavy leaning towards fun.  He's also a great cook.

WeGo Pop Up Shop at NYCC Booth 780 Tenacious Collective Sat / Sun

by
We are very excited to announce a special event at our NYCC booth this year:

Saturday and Sunday Booth 780 will be hosting a Mechatro WeGo Pop Up Shop featuring a whole slew of different WeGo figures in both the 1/35th and 1/12th scale sizes!

(NOTE: WeGos will be available for purchase all 4 days of NYCC. To purchase on Thursday or Friday, locate the lighted glass WeGo case in Booth 780 and ask a booth staff member nearby for assistance.)

Many of these WeGos are shipping directly from Japan and are otherwise extremely hard to find in the USA. The red, green and blue WeGos pictured have deco like the Japanese taxis! No other retailer in the USA currently has the above-pictured WeGos.

So, what is a WeGo?

WeGos are super articulated Japanese robot action figures, with tons of poseable joints and compartments that open to reveal an interior. Read more about the Mechatro WeGos here, and don't forget to add Booth 780 to your NYCC Show Planner so that you can find us easily on Saturday!

Rampage Toys x Medicom Godzilla 23cm Figure from GODZILLA VINYL WARS EX Series

by
This is my favorite thing, and why I keep the shop open: working with emerging artists and helping them in whatever small way I can to establish themselves and their names, and assist them in leveling up. That's why I do micro run releases, make blog posts and send out emails and press releases about their work.

We started working with Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys so long ago that I don't even really know when we started. Maybe 8 years ago, before he set off for Japan. At that time, I sold his one-off customs (on other people's platforms), his small resin figures and handmade plushes.

Fast forward to today, and Jon now has an official Godzilla release through Medicom! I have scant info on this Rampage Godzilla figure, aside from the fact that this is a Medicom vinyl Godzilla figure that's 23cm (9 inches) tall. That seems to be Jon's paint work on it, and I assume he sculpted this figure for Medicom.

In response to overwhelming requests from all over the world, GODZILLA VINYL WARS EX series has began!
Entry of RAMPAGE STUDIO from USA!

You can pick this figure up for $115 here - preorders look like they close on October 31, so don't sleep!

Jon will soon be releasing all the official info on his blog here, at which point I am sure I will have to edit some of the info I just wrote.

For now, HUGE CONGRATS to Jon and his Rampage Toys brand. A true, original and wonderful organic creation. He just put his head down, made positive relationships, and cranked out work for years, and this is what happens when you stay positive and stay focused. An insipiration!

Visit the Rampage Webstore for a whole slew of other unique and colorful monsters, custom toys and sofubi figures. We also have our own page to host the Rampage Toys items that we have in stock.
