Tenacious Toys NYCC 2014 Exclusives

This year, Steph and I are going about NYCC a bit differently... after managing this huge booth last year in addition to trucking in and selling our own exclusives and regular inventory, I personally was beyond exhausted... I took a lot of time off after NYCC, which really isn't great for business. You build up all this momentum, and that's the worst time to disappear and have the shop closed and fail to respond to emails. Lesson learned.

For 2014, I decided I am JUST managing this booth, so I can be more present to chat with people, take care of my collective and makes sure the whole 600-square-foot shebang goes off smoothly.

That being said, it's really difficult for me to actually roll up to NYCC without bringing along some exclusive releases. Thankfully I can rely on a network of super talented artists to create cool pieces for us to sell.

This blog post will grow, but for today, here are the first Tenacious Toys NYCC exclusives I have to share:

The Cenobots 2.1 blind box series is not necessarily a Tenacious Toys exclusive production, but rather a series 100% developed and launched by the artists involved. We are giving this series the chance to debut at NYCC at our booth!

Tasha Zimich x SubUrban Vinyl NYCC Exclusives

I am returning for my 2nd year at New York Comic Con, and am bringing down some new releases for Suburban Vinyl Booth 208 in The Block. In celebration of Camilla d'Errico's No Ordinary Love Statue being a finalist in the Designer Toy Awards for Outstanding Production, I've hand-painted a No Ordinary Love statue in inverted colours.

This 7" one-off painted piece, "Cuddle Fish", will be available at Suburban Vinyl's booth for 275$.

Also at Suburban Vinyl's booth 208 will be a new pair of custom 3" Dunny, these carousel horse themed pieces are called "Button" and "Belle". They will be available for 80$ea.

POPaganda x Clutter Exclusive Fat Tony Pink Edition

The fifth colorway of Ron English's Ceral Killer, Fat Tony, will make his debut at New York Comic-Con 2012 this month as a Clutter Magazine Exclusive. 

Cast in pink vinyl, this edition of the infamous 9-inch tall Fat Tony figure is decorated with white, black, purple, teal and yellow paints. Limited to only 100 pieces worldwide, half of the run will be available at Clutter Magazine's NYCC Booth #3004 on Friday, October 12th, 2012 for $99.99 each and Ron English will be in attendance to sign them! The remaining 50 figures will be available on the POPaganda webstore on Friday, October 12th at 12 Noon EST for $99.99

My brother from another mother, John "Spanky" Stokes, will be on hand at the Tenacious Toys x Toy2R booth on Sunday October 16th at 12:30PM to meet and greet and sign the exclusive resin figures he poured for us: the NYCC Exclusive Tenacious Blue Borracho de los Muertos figures!

Just when you thought all the NYCC 2011 releases had been revealed, we
have one more for you, as artist/blogger John"Spanky"Stokes just
announced a special NYCC run of his resin "Borracho De Los Muertos"
figures in an edition he is calling "Tenacious Blue". These measure 6"
tall and about that size in girth. This set of 5 hand-sculpted,
hand-cast, and hand-painted figures feature three shades of blue with
hints of pearlized silver accents all over... which, by the way, were
almost impossible to catch in the photograph above... so you gotta see
them in person to really appreciate the paint, it's stunning! These
will be made available at the Tenacious Toys booth #876 everyday
during the convention for $65 a piece.

NEMO's Art Hustle cards- behind the scenes

Sunday October 10th with be a big day for Art Hustle fans at our NYCC Booth (#2878):

1PM- Sidekick Labs present to sign their Art Hustle cards

2PM- NEMO will be signing sketchbooks, toys and of course Art Hustle cards!

We're going to have a NYCC Exclusive special foil-stamped Art Hustle card that does not normally appear in the regular packs, available ONLY at the Tenacious Toys booth! More info on that card soon.

We'll also be showcasing a number of NEMO sculpts in our glass cases, and he will be bouncing back and forth between our booth and the Elite Gudz booth all weekend, so keep an eye out for him!
