I am returning for my 2nd year at New York Comic Con, and am bringing down some new releases for Suburban Vinyl Booth 208 in The Block. In celebration of Camilla d'Errico's No Ordinary Love Statue being a finalist in the Designer Toy Awards for Outstanding Production, I've hand-painted a No Ordinary Love statue in inverted colours.

This 7" one-off painted piece, "Cuddle Fish", will be available at Suburban Vinyl's booth for 275$.

Also at Suburban Vinyl's booth 208 will be a new pair of custom 3" Dunny, these carousel horse themed pieces are called "Button" and "Belle". They will be available for 80$ea.

 Toy2R x Dark Horse 2" Domo Qee Series 5 Blue Sparkle

Dark Horse is proud to bring you an exciting new series of creative designs for our little pal Domo, who continues to enjoy the Qee treatment from our collaborators at Hong Kong’s Toy2R. Their popular 2” Qee minifigures, appearing in stores and galleries worldwide, have proven to be a great fit for this character, and collectors and retailers seem to just want more. As before, chase figures are being produced with common figures. There will be a total of fifteen different versions, with varied levels of scarcity. This is the toothpaste colorway of series 5 and was available as a ratio of 2:15. It is available now at the Tenacious Toys online store. ~Mr. N. Visible

Our carton of 2" Domo Qee Series 5 is now in the hands of the Tenacious Toys Blind Box Bitch, who is opening them and labeling them. Up for sale at end of week. Most common figures will be $8.99 each. If we get super rare chases they might be a little more. These will be for sale open-box on our super awesome Domo page. I'll probably steal better images from Trampt since Toy2R doesn't bother taking actual product shots.

Dark Horse x Toy2R Neon Domo Qee Series now in stock open box

We now have the FULL 15-piece 2-inch Neon Domo Qee Series in stock, open box. That means we've opened up all the blind boxes, shot some pictures (because the internet was low on pics of this series), and resealed and labeled each box. We are now selling identified figures here on our website. You can also check out the rest of our Domo offerings on our Domo page.

 

The Neon Domo Series of 2-inch figures is a bit confusing: there are actually 2 different types of figures in this series- traditional glow-in-the-dark figures, and blacklight-reactive figures. We went to the trouble of cataloging all 15 of the different figures and shooting pics. Feel free to use and share these images. Toy2R should have taken the shots, but they didn't, so we did.

Soda & Metallic 4 inch Domos revealed

Just in time for Christmas, six awesome new 4" Vinyl Domos are will be hitting our shores this September.

Japan's favorite furball is paying us a much-welcomed visit once again with a release of three all-new styles of flocked, fizzy, and flavorful fun figures available in lime, orange, and grape!

Domo is also paying tribute to all of the marvelous athletes from around the world participating in the summer Olympic games by painting his body in gold, silver, and bronze! Go Domo!

Blast from the Past: Dark Horse Relaunches Good Luck Trolls

From the depths of your child psyche- the innermost, primal areas of your brain that developed when you were an infant- the original, licensed Good Luck Trolls re-emerge to take over your boring desk at your decidedly boring job!

Trolls became one of America's biggest toy fads in the early 1960s, and again over the years in various revivals from many toy manufacturers.

In 2003, Toy Industry Association commemorated them among the one hundred most creative toys of the twentieth century. Also in 2003, a Congressional law allowed the Dam family of Denmark to restore their original U.S. copyright and become the only official owner. After keeping them off the market for nearly a decade, they have awarded Dark Horse Deluxe a license to bring back Trolls in a "mystery box" program.

This all-new assortment of colorful designs, with an array of hair colors and exotic surface treatments from glitter to metallic to flocked, are sure to stun both collectors and casual fans.

These will be blind-boxed mystery figures priced at $7.99 each ($119.85 for the full 15-piece display carton). Releasing in July 2012!

Camilla d’Errico No Ordinary Love bust coming soon

Artist and designer Camilla d’Errico is exploding across the pop-culture landscape. Her paintings, comics, apparel, toys, and licensed merchandise items are found in trendsetting venues worldwide, and her unique art style sets these items apart from the crowd. Dark Horse Deluxe, a division of Dark Horse Comics, announces the latest step forward for d’Errico, a limited-edition sculptural bust inspired by her painting No Ordinary Love.
 
Slated for a late June release, the meticulously painted sculpture measures approximately 8 inches tall and 5 inches in width, making it a diminutive but exquisite jewel of a statuette. It is strictly limited to only 950 hand-numbered copies for worldwide distribution. It is packaged in a full-color collector box, with a certificate of authenticity inserted to certify it for collectors.

Coming soon: Domo & Friends box set

Just saw this for the first time at Toy Fair a few weeks ago and ordered immediately. A must-have item for any true Domo fan- these are the 3 characters from the NHK channel in Japan.

 

Based on the characters from Domo TV shorts on Japan’s NHK network, this 3-piece PVC figure set features Domo and his friends Mr. Usaji the wise old rabbit, and Tashanna, the young lady weasel. Domo stands at 4" tall while his friends stand at 3.5". Packaged in a deluxe full color window box.

 

This boxed set will be $17.99 each and will arrive soon!

Domo Qee Series 4 REVEALED!

This is the reveal of the upcoming 2" Domo Qee Series 4, which will be released in April 2012. 

Case will contain 15 blind boxes. We will, of course, be selling this series by the case, by the blind box and we'll be opening some to sell as open-box figures. Blind boxed 2" Domos sell for $8.99 each.

We still have a few 2" Domos from past releases in stock here... which reminds me, I have to update our Domo product listings because we actually have a lot more than what you can see on that page...

Peanuts Snoopy 2-inch Qee Assortment by Toy2R

Scheduled to arrive in October, this is an officially licensed Peanuts product produced by Toy2R for Dark Horse. Each blind box will retail for $8.99 and you can preorder them here. You can also preorder a full sealed case of 15 here. There will be 15 different Snoopy variants to collect!

These lovely 2-inch Hawaiian Domo Qees are in stock now in clear and metallic blue colorways. Once an Asia exclusive release, only 800 of each colorway was shipped into the US and we got some!

8inch Flocked Vinyl Snoopy Figures by Dark Horse

These awesome 8-inch flocked vinyl Snoopy figures will be released in September by Dark Horse. 

The white "classic" version seen above will be produced in an open run. 

The other colors, seen, below, will be produced in very limited quantities:

Green, Orange and Violet will be produced in runs of 750 pieces each. Blue, Pink and Yellow will be produced in runs of 500 pieces each. Rarest of them all will be the Brown colorway with a run size of 300 pieces. Price for any of the colors will be $29.99.

Domo Qee Series 3 coming in 2011: Domo in a tux!

Can't get enough Domo Qees? Neither can I. I usually crush one up and snort it for breakfast!

I just got the press release from Dark Horse for the NEXT series of Domo Qees: Series 3, releasing Spring 2011:

Series 3 features 15 all new limited-edition versions including Flocked Blue, shiny Candy Apple Red, Prickly Purple, Gold Glitter, and 11 other fabulous designs, including 1 ultra rare mystery figure.  Which one will you get?  Well, you won't know until the box is opened! 

In addition to the above-mentioned styles, it looks like there's a Strawberry colorway, a Spaceman Domo colorway, a Beehive colorway, a Zebra colorway, a Domo in a tuxedo (James Domo? Domo Bond?), a pink teardrop colorway, a frikkin SWEET watermelon rind colorway and another version of the circuits colorway! All in all I'd say this one looks like a REALLY interesting series.

Above manufacturer-supplied copy is misleading, because if you know us here at Tenacious Toys, you know that we routinely open blind boxes for your collecting pleasure. I'll be popping a buncha Series 3 Domos open and selling them at reasonable prices, as usual. If you want a full, sealed case of 15, email us and let us know as that will affect how many cartons we buy.

INSIDE TOY FAIR: Domo Qee Series 2 coming March

It is no secret that I love Domo. We've stocked all kinds of Domo stuff: paper goods, vinyl toys, plush toys...

We have a plush 6" Domo that lives above our microwave in our kitchen!

Every morning I am greeted by a Domo as I make my coffee.

So of course one of my first stops at Toy Fair was the Dark Horse booth where they were exhibiting the upcoming Domo mini figure series!

Domo 2" Qee Series 2 is a series of 15 different blind-boxed mystery figures. There will be 5 flocked colorways, and also a beautiful tear-drop design that reminds me of the Triclops Rainy figure from the UK Dunny series. There's one that looks like metal plates, one that looks like a turtle shell, one that looks like a circuit board, and one that looks like a skeleton, in addition to several others. In short, a whole mess of interesting designs!

As a supplement to the Domo Qee Series 2 figures, they also created 5 limited edition Domo Qee designs that are will be available individually on blister cards. With the exception of the Flocked Classic Brown Domo Qee, the 4 other new designs will not be available in the Series 2 blind-boxed Display Case. The blister packaging looks like this:

I believe the blind-box Domos will sell for $7.99 and the blister-carded Domo figures will sell for $8.99, although I'm not 100% certain. Of course we will happily sell open box series 2 Domo Qees at reasonable prices if you like buying that way.

Also on display in the Dark Horse both were the upcoming 7" Domo Qee figures, most notably the Skeleton, Grass and Wood Grain colorways, which will retail for $79.99 each.

Domo Party lights coming in May!

Do these count as toys? I dunno, I'm posting them up here anyway:

Dark Horse is very excited to introduce some fantastic new Domo products that are guaranteed to delight both young and old. You can brighten up any festivities with the all-new Domo Party Lights, featuring five brilliant colors of Domo! Retail price will be $14.99, although I'm not sure exactly how many lights you'll get for that. Hopefully it's a long string of twinkling Domos. Pretty crazy.

Domo Qee Series 2 + more coming March 2010 from Dark Horse!

Following the smashing success of the Dark Horse collaboration with Toy2R on the first series of the 2” Domo Qee, we are excited to present an all new assortment of colorful designs. You like raindrops, candy canes, or even glowing radioactivity?!? This new series of figures has all that and more!

This freshly hatched offering features 15 all new limited edition versions consisting of 5 new color flocked Domo Qees as well as 10 other fabulous designs, including the ultra rare Mystery? Figure.

The Domo Qee Series 2 figures come in a countertop display of 15 blind boxes. Which one will you get? (We'll be opening some of these to sell as open-box!) Blind boxes will be same price as Series 1: $8.99 each.
