 Toy2R x Dark Horse 2" Domo Qee Series 5 Blue Sparkle

Dark Horse is proud to bring you an exciting new series of creative designs for our little pal Domo, who continues to enjoy the Qee treatment from our collaborators at Hong Kong’s Toy2R. Their popular 2” Qee minifigures, appearing in stores and galleries worldwide, have proven to be a great fit for this character, and collectors and retailers seem to just want more. As before, chase figures are being produced with common figures. There will be a total of fifteen different versions, with varied levels of scarcity. This is the toothpaste colorway of series 5 and was available as a ratio of 2:15. It is available now at the Tenacious Toys online store. ~Mr. N. Visible

Our carton of 2" Domo Qee Series 5 is now in the hands of the Tenacious Toys Blind Box Bitch, who is opening them and labeling them. Up for sale at end of week. Most common figures will be $8.99 each. If we get super rare chases they might be a little more. These will be for sale open-box on our super awesome Domo page. I'll probably steal better images from Trampt since Toy2R doesn't bother taking actual product shots.

Dark Horse x Toy2R Neon Domo Qee Series now in stock open box

We now have the FULL 15-piece 2-inch Neon Domo Qee Series in stock, open box. That means we've opened up all the blind boxes, shot some pictures (because the internet was low on pics of this series), and resealed and labeled each box. We are now selling identified figures here on our website. You can also check out the rest of our Domo offerings on our Domo page.

 

The Neon Domo Series of 2-inch figures is a bit confusing: there are actually 2 different types of figures in this series- traditional glow-in-the-dark figures, and blacklight-reactive figures. We went to the trouble of cataloging all 15 of the different figures and shooting pics. Feel free to use and share these images. Toy2R should have taken the shots, but they didn't, so we did.

Domo x DC mystery minis

This is easily one of the cutest Domo series to ever come out. The DC theme works so well and fits Domo's sweet and pleasant charm. These miniature superheros stand strong at two and a half inches. Ready to drop on February 28th, they're a great catch at only $5.95 a piece. Inside the mystery boxes hide Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Two-Face, The Riddler, Shazam, 3 versions of Batman, 2 of Robin, and 3 of Superman. If you were to ask me if I'd want to be rescued by a Christian Bale Batman or a Domo Batman, I'd choose Domo any day.

Japan's favorite furball is paying us a much-welcomed visit once again with a release of three all-new styles of flocked, fizzy, and flavorful fun figures available in lime, orange, and grape!

In case you have no clue what is happening here, Domo is NHK's official spokesmonster. I've never seen any toys here in the US that featured all 3 of these characters, but they're here now! Just saw this for the first time at Toy Fair a few weeks ago and ordered immediately. A must-have item for any true Domo fan- these are the 3 characters from the NHK channel in Japan.

 

Based on the characters from Domo TV shorts on Japan’s NHK network, this 3-piece PVC figure set features Domo and his friends Mr. Usaji the wise old rabbit, and Tashanna, the young lady weasel. Domo stands at 4" tall while his friends stand at 3.5". Packaged in a deluxe full color window box.

4-inch Raver Domos Glow Under Blacklight!

OK, now, to be perfectly honest with you, Dark Horse did NOT just email me telling me that these are Raver Domos... but they GLOW under blacklight!!! And I swear, the last rave I went to, some of the kiddies were wearing Domo hats, so forgive me for making this association. And I'm listening to trance right now, soooo.... it's Raver Domo. You can't tell me otherwise. 

These are 4-inch Black Light Domos that come in Pink, Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, Red and Purple. Price will be $14.99 each and they'll hit stores in March of 2012.

Graffiti Domo custom by Valerie G coming soon

Valerie G is sending us this sweet custom Toy2R 7" Domo figure to sell in our shop on the Val G page in our Custom Toys Section! 

Good thing too, as her last 2 customs in that section sold a couple weeks ago...

Val used acrylic paints and inks, varnish and 9 pieces of hematite on this custom... I admit, I had to look that up: hematite is the mineral form of an iron oxide. which crystallizes in a rhomboid shape.

We are looking forward to seeing this one in person! Price will be $250.

Domo Qee Series 4 REVEALED!

This is the reveal of the upcoming 2" Domo Qee Series 4, which will be released in April 2012. 

Case will contain 15 blind boxes. We will, of course, be selling this series by the case, by the blind box and we'll be opening some to sell as open-box figures. Blind boxed 2" Domos sell for $8.99 each.

We still have a few 2" Domos from past releases in stock here... which reminds me, I have to update our Domo product listings because we actually have a lot more than what you can see on that page...

Huge selection of 2" Domo Qees at Tenacious Toys

I have often been asked: "What's with Domo? I don't get it." 

OK. Domo is one of those things that will never make sense. Domo is a square monster with pointy teeth. You might have seen him chasing kittens, and he farts a pink cloud when he's nervous. Inexplicably, this crazy character is the mascot of Japanese TVstation NHK.

Hong Kong toymaker Toy2R has long produced a vinyl version of Domo in 2" and 7" sizes. There have been 3 series of blind box 2" Domo figures, as well as countless blister-packed singles, con-exclusive and store-exclusive Domo characters (see the 2011 SDCC Nerd Domo above). We love Domo so much we gave him his own page on our site.

7-inch Domo Qee series coming soon

Toy2R and Dark Horse are proud to announce the release of the newly designed Domo 7 Inch Qee. Originally displayed during Toy Fair in February and making an appearance at this year's San Diego Comic Con, these larger versions have attracted serious attention from Domo collectors around the globe. Limited to only 500 units of each design and with a SRP of $59.99, Domo will be making a dash, so fans had better act quick!

The first available versions will include the Wood Grain edition as well as the Glow In The Dark version.

Followed by more eerie mayhem - the Skeleton Edition will pop out as well as the party themed Glitter Edition - all making their debut next month and available from Dark Horse.

Collectors make special note, these are very limited and will be made available worldwide! The first two assortments of 2" Domo Qees are now sold out from Dark Horse and Toy2R - so these bad boys won't stick around for long, especially once they start making everyone's holiday wish lists!
