Toy2R's Designer Collection Series 6 restocked, open box

We are pleased to offer the FULL selection of 2.5-inch Designer Collection Series 6 Qees from Toy2R. They sold so well, we restocked! And, as usual, we popped those bad boys open to find out wht's inside the blind boxes. Toy2R CRAMMED this series full of variant colorways and chases, and we scored at least one of each! Qee Designer Collection Series 6 is composed of the following:

- 3 different DOINK Qees (that's the drippy MonQee: Orange/White, Blue White variant & Red/GID variant)
- Daniel Jarrett (That's the MonQee with the blue suit)
- DrilOne (the skull-head one with green body- head glows in the dark!)
- Raymond Choy (that's the owner of Toy2R! his Qee is the black and white dog)
- Peskimo (Green/Yellow is the regular figure, Red/Yellow is the variant)
- Jon Paul Kaiser (easy to spot, all of his customs are black and white, and this production toy is no different)
- Charlie Mewshaw (that's the pink BoxeeQ, which has a GID variant)
- Lisa Petrucci (hers is the red BunneeQ)
- Frank Kozik, whose Qees in this series are tiny 2.5-inch versions of his AWESOME Toyer-Z and Toyer Emeny figures
- Cameron Tiede (blue and yellow BoxeeQ)
- finally there are 3 country-themed chase figures (unpictured above) correlating to the flags of China, the US and France. They look sorta like Luchadores to me...

Pretty darn cool series, I must say. Definitely quite varied in the styles, and colorful to boot! I like how Toy2R has finally started mixing it up with some emerging artists. Only good things can come of that. Helps the community as a whole, and keeps things fresh for us collectors.

The time draws near for the Brain Pattern Qee...

Emilio Garcia just posted these work-in-progress shots of the heads of his upcoming 8-inch Brain Pattern Qee bears by Toy2R. I am SUPER excited about this one and I know a bunch of you are as well. Definitely email us if you want to get on our list for these.

Jon Paul Kaiser Zombie Pirate 8 inch Qee Bear by Toy2R

SNEAK PEEK: Toy2R Qee Artist Series 6: Charlie Mewshaw, DOINK & DrilOne

Toy2R is packing up the Qees and preparing them for release next week and that means another quick look at some of the designs included in this relaunch of one of the series that started it all, the Designer Collection.

Up first is the newest piece from artist Doink! One of the original designers to use the Qee platform, Doink's fun and off tilt designs make for great pieces. From his classic 8" Artist Qees that sold out and are hard to come by, to his upcoming release, the 21 inch FabriQee Plush line, Doink stays fresh and trendy! Look out for this Mon...Qee.

From one of the hottest customizers in the art toy world comes the first production Qee by DrilOne. His military style and rusty looks are praised by fans and collectors. This new 2.5" Qee is a must for everyone and best of all, you can carry it around with you all the time to show your support for DrilOne! Toy2R is thrilled to have this design by the artist, especially since it is on our iconic Toyer Qee.

And then there is the unique Boxee Qee from Charlie Mewshaw. Charlie is best known for his original toy creations and artwork under the banner, SAUCERNAUTS. When Charlie submitted his 'Pinkeye' design, we knew it had to be made. There's a little surprise waiting for you when you catch Pinkeye...but that's for you to find out.

These great Qees will be arriving soon. We'll have blind boxes and open boxes so make sure you check back for more info on their arrival. There will be some cool chase and mystery figures mixed in as well...happy hunting!

TUTTZ EXCLUSIVE: Not long ago we were lucky enough to attend Toystreet, where we hooked up with Argonaut Resins to hash out an exclusive on a shiny silver colorway of their new Tuttz feline sculpt. They'll retail for around $40, which is very affordable for full-sized, limited edition resin piece! More info will be available soon.

ThreeA: The ThreeA forums say that they'll be shipping the retailer versions of the WWRP Bertie Mk2 6.5-inch figures soon, which is excellent. Once we get our Berties, we will turn them around and get them in the mail to all of you who preordered. As for the Dropcloths, we still have preorders available for 3 different versions: Panda Shocktrooper, Deimos Liberator & Commando Uncles.

JUN PLANNING: We are very excited to see the first Steampunk Pullip figure from Jun Planning, which will be the Eos figure! We have ordered a case. They will cost about $150 each but they are extremely complex and insanely cool. They are projected to ship to us in July.

JAMUNGO: Jamungo has announced that they will be selling some of their AWESOME Squadts to retailers. We are going to get a case of NKD Squadts with the 2 different accessory packs (called QPMNT packs). The NKD Squadts will retail for $75, and the QPMNT packs will sell for $28 for the both of em. Not sure on arrival date but I'll post that up as soon as I know.

KIDROBOT: We are supposed to be getting a carton of the Amanda Visell Tic Toc Apocalypse mini figures soon. Will ship full sealed cases for free within the US, as usual. And there's lots more insanely cool stuff coming from KR in the upcoming months as well, so save your pennies....

TOY2R: Where do I begin? There is so much to tell. Toy2R has a HUGE year planned this year. There are a number of mini figure Qee series on the way. There's the 5in Jumping Brains by Emilio Garcia (woo hoo!). I am also supposed to let all my artist contacts know that despite ALREADY having over 50 artists involved (like DrilOne, Leecifer, Pocket Wookie, Sneaky Raccoon, and WuzOne), Toy2R is aiming to make their 15th Anniversary World Tour even bigger by inviting all toy customizers to submit custom Qees to their office by May 1st (yeah I know, not much time, but the offer is out there!). Email Kevin at info@toy2rusa.com for more info. Your Qee will get photographed and cataloged and will join the world tour! Talk about exposure... They'd also need artist names, websites, titles, and any other relevant info. There are no limits to quantity or scale of finished pieces. Got a custom Qee already done? Mail that bad boy in to them!

BIOSHOCK 2: NECA has released images of their incredibly creepy action figures based on the Bioshock 2 video game. That would be a Big Daddy Rosie Deluxe action figure, a Ladysmith Splicer figure and a twin pack containing Little Sister and Young Eleanor Lamb. MIMOCO: We have just received our stock of the Infectious x Mimoco Design Contest winning Mimobot USB drives, called GiddyUp. The artwork on them is beautiful: it's a girl riding a giraffe! We have them in stock in 4GB and 8GB versions.

BIC BUDDY CUSTOM SHOW: Last weekend I attended a great custom toy show in Brooklyn at a place called Zakka. The platform was the 8-inch BID Buddy designed by Marka27 and made by BIC Plastics. It was a lot of fun and I would have liked to have posted up images of that show already but I have been dealing with taxes ever since. So I humbly refer you to my friend OsirisOrion's blog, where he has posted a great video he took that night at the show.

Toy2R Celebrates its15th Anniversary With Big News!!

With the new website, www.toy2rusa.com, up and running since Christmas, Toy2R is poised to make some waves in 2010.

The new web presence of Toy2R includes a revised blog moving QEE4ALL under the roof of the new site. News about upcoming releases, updates and all things Toy2R are being posted daily. News of the continuation of the Simpsons Qee line was confirmed with the announcement of the 10” Homer Simpson Qee dropping soon. This includes the classic everyday outfit Homer as well as the D.I.Y. Edition. Plans are in the works to make the D.I.Y. available for a world art tour like the Bart Simpson Qee Tour that included over 230 original customs! WE AIN'T PLASTIC! opens at 6pm tonight featuring over 50 customized Qees from artists from the Lincoln and Omaha area.

TOY2R announces the WE AIN'T PLASTIC Qee Exhibit being held in tonight in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Over 40 artist from the Lincoln and Omaha are displaying customized 8" DIY Qees for this exhibit celebrating the first anniversary of the TOY2R US division. This event showcases some of the hottest design talent in the Midwest area and will serve as the launch for the 2010 Qee Worldwide Tour which celebrates the 15th Anniversary of TOY2R!
In addition, special guest artists are submitting original Qee customs from across the country, including Jay222's Twin 16" Qees creation; Pablo y Francisco and New Jersey's Jan Huling displaying her amazing beaded Qee!

The event opens tonight at The Public (11th and O St. inside The Black Market).

Who's da Bomb?! online custom toy show

You might have heard by now that we are curating an online custom toy show. If not, here's the deal: the platform is the Toy2R Mini Bomb figures (originally had paint by Kozik). For more details & the flyers, check out our blog post regarding this endeavor.

August 31st is the submission deadline for images of the customized Bombs.

In the meantime I have already received a few images of finished customs, so I put up a Who's the Bomb section dedicated to them. Look for more customs to start poppin' up in that section on our site as we head towards Aug 31st.

This is our first foray into the custom toy world and I am very excited to see what everyone comes up with! I also must mention that this project would not be possible without the guidance and help of Delicious Drips, and a shipment of Mini Bombs from Toy2RUSA. So thanks to DD and Toy2R for helping me get this whole thing together.
