Custom Coarse Toys Locks by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest masterpiece is a Custom Coarsetoys Locks figure. Created to be both a character and a scene, this custom Locks features a serene looking monk passing through a narrow valley in the woods. On the raised arm, across the Valley, a bear is depicted, standing as he hears the monk passing through the valley, everything at peace. The face of the locks was painted in a way to provide it some character, while the scene is essentially a very intricate tattoo that exists on the Locks. A wonderful piece for Jon-Paul Kaiser to close the year on. As with all of Jon-Paul's work, photographer Justin Allfree is credited with capturing the beauty of all of Jon-Paul's custom Locks figure. Jon-Paul showed Justin all of his appreciation for Justin's help, guidance and amazing photography by gifting this Custom Locks figure to Justin. A stunning gift indeed. Jon-Paul should be gearing up for a strong 2015. What JPK has in store for the world, only time will tell.

"Death Shroud" Custom Dunny set by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest completed commission is a nice set of five custom Dunnys titled "Death Shroud". Jon-Paul used a variety of different 3" Dunny base sculpts, from a regular 3" Dunny, to a Huck Gee Zombie and Post Apocalyps Geisha Dunny, as well as a Bjornik and MAD Zombie Biker Dunny. Jon-Paul is able to create unique and individual characters, each with it's own story.

From Jon-Paul: "Death Shroud" is a "team dedicated to learning the secrets to eternal life, through surgery, implantation and cybernetic augmentation". The following is Jon-Paul Kaiser's description of each character:
"The Beast" is a long-term study in the effects of heavy surgery, coupled with a synthesized serum, rumored to be derived from Virus-Z.

"The Beast" - Custom 3" Dunny by Jon-Paul Kaiser, p.c. Justin Allfree
"Captain Rugen" is the originator of the group, rumored to be hundreds of years old. He is a little more than dried flesh, clinging to the remains of his skeleton, yet he lingers on.

"Lady Rugen" is the daughter of the Captain, with a seemingly perfect and subtle blend of augmentation and an array of serums.

"Madame Tiele" is Captain Rugen's former lover. Over decades, "Madame Tiele" has gradually replaced her body with synthetic implants and organs.
"Madame Tiele" - Custom 3" Dunny by Jon-Paul Kaiser, p.c. Justin Allfree
"Klaus Hammerstein" is Captain Rugen's brutal security enforcer. A warped mutant, who is the only survivor of Captain Rugen's short lived obsession with the irradiation of genes.
"Klaus Hammerstein" - Custom 3" Dunny by Jon-Paul Kaiser, p.c. Justin Allfree
All combined, the group of five represent "Death Shroud". An awesome collection of Dunnys, each with a nice back story. With Halloween in a few days, this group of Dunnys seems quite fitting for the season. As with all of Jon-Paul's work, the wonderful photos were taken by Justin Allfree, with many more shots to be shown on Jon-Paul Kaiser's social media pages.

Coarsetoys Custom PAW by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest completed commission is a Star Wars/Eastern themed Coarsetoys PAW. When working on custom figures, Jon-Paul likes it when details of the original figure, or sculpt, can be seen. With nearly all of the original sculpt kept from the PAW figure, Jon-Paul wanted to re-sculpt the head of the PAW figure to look more like the Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet. Jon-Paul not only succeeded at creating the helmet, he was also able to work in parts of the original sculpted head, albeit the ears were lopped off. Overall, the completed piece is simple and clean, with tons of detail on both of the arms of the figure. When Jon-Paul took the completed figure to be photographed by Justin Allfree (who does all the photography for Jon-Paul's work), Justin loved the piece so much that he got a bit carried away with all the photos he took. Be sure to keep an eye on Jon-Paul's social media pages for more shots of the Stormtrooper PAW, especially the detail shots of the arms.

Daimyo Custom Deathshead by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
Avid collectors sometimes gravitate towards a specific platform and often commission artists around the world to put his/her spin on the piece. Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest commissioned piece was a David Flores Deathshead piece. After talking with the client, they settled on a samurai themed piece, with lots of red. Jon-Paul says that this piece took months to complete because he kept going back to the drawing board, as he saw the many Deathshead pieces arrive to the collector. Jon-Paul really wanted his piece to stand out in the group of custom Deathshead. Considering this piece now stands as the center piece of one of the collectors Deathshead shelves, it looks like Jon-Paul succeeded. All the awesome pics were taken by photographer Justin Allfree, Jon-Paul's go to photographer.

Jon-Paul is most likely still accepting commission requests, so for the collectors out there who want one, be sure to get in contact with Jon-Paul and make it happen. Awesome custom pieces await.

Custom 3" Sketchup Dunny by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest completed commission is a 3" Sketchup Dunny. Using a ship in a bottle theme, which is similar to a previously completed Skethup custom, Jon-Paul added a little twist to this custom. This wonderful custom is inspired by the classic novel Moby Dick. On top is the distressed Pequod, getting thrashed by waves, while the great white whale is dives below. Another incredible piece completed by Jon-Paul Kaiser. As with all of Jon-Paul's creations, the beautiful photos were take by Photographer Justin Allfree. Keep in mind, Jon-Paul may still be open for commissions, so head on over to his website and contact him for more info.

Alien Chestburster Custom Munny by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
For those who've watched Alien (1979), one of the most iconic scenes is the Chestburster (or Chestbuster) scene, when the implanted alien in Kane, played by John Hurt, decides to make an appearance during dinner. The dramatic scene of the alien bursting through Kane's chest is one that's been recreated and even re-imagined over the years. Jon-Paul Kaiser recreated the iconic scene using a 5 inch mini Munny for Kane and what looks to be the ear of a Dunny for the Chestburster. Jon-Paul states: "I wanted to capture that moment when everything is in a state of flux; Kane is on the cusp of death, he alien is at last born but not yet fled and the crew have yet to face it once it grows...". The Munny arms have been repositioned to present Kane splayed out on the table, with the Alien bursting out of the chest(using what looks to be like a Dunny ear). Red "blood" is expertly painted to provide some great contrast to the black and white of the figure and table. Another great custom by Jon-Paul Kaiser

"Rose and Sky" - Custom 8" McStomp Dunny by Jon-Paul Kaiser

by
It's always great when a collector receives his/her commission from an artist. Not only do they get what could possibly have taken months, but the world also finally gets to see what's been created. One of Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest commissions reached it's destination and now everyone gets to envy this lucky collector. Jon-Paul was commissioned to create a custom based on a Jaeger from Pacific Rim, using a Penelelope McStomp 8" Dunny. Jon-Paul was excited to be able to customize, this already amazing, 8" dunny and he drew inspiration from the "Gypsy Danger" Jaeger. Jon-Paul named the piece "Rose and Sky", armed with power sword and battered shield. As with many of Jon-Paul's customs, Jon-Paul utilized the existing design, accenting curves and hard edges, while having a somewhat minimalistic design. Since the McStomp 8" Dunny also came with a 3" Dunny pilot, this custom would not be complete without a custom pilot. Another great custom produced by the steady handed Jon-Paul Kaiser. As with most customs by Jon-Paul Kaiser, the finished photos were taken by photographer Justin Allfree.
