TeeFetch Offers Solid Info and Reviews of T-Shirt Printing Companies and Graphic T-Shirt Designs

by
I don't know about you but I've produced a few different t-shirt designs, and nearly every print job I do is through a different company, using different ink application processes. Basically, for about a decade, I've been winging it, choosing my printing company essentially willy-nilly.

That's dumb.

Enter TeeFetch to save the day: TeeFetch has put together possibly the most useful, independent coverage of the print-on-demand t-shirt industry that I've ever found. TeeFetch aggregates all of the good Limited Edition and Shirt of The Day deals as a homepage gallery for shoppers' convenience. They have Tee Design reviews, Tips and Resources for those interested in opening an online t-shirt shop, and for artists who want to start designing their own shirts. Brand Vs Brand comparisons, SEO help, and even a fairly detailed history of the t-shirt itself which was used as source material for Wikipedia and Shirts.com!

I know a LOT of you print your own artwork on t-shirts and sell the shirts on your websites. It's pretty much the most accessible form of your artwork for a buyer, at a price point that anyone can afford. I have a ridiculous artsy graphic tee collection, thanks to all of you! But I have to be honest: some of your shirts have held up better than others.

Seeing as how we all make and collect tons of t-shirts, don't you think you should do a bit of research into the graphic quality as well as the printing process of your t-shirt printer? Your customers will thank you. Check the TeeFetch Brand Reviews page here before your next shirt printing run. The TeeFetch blog is also a source of great info for anyone diving into to the t-shirt vertical.

TeeFetch offers independent tee shirt graphic design reviews

TeeFetch also offers detailed side-by-side comparison reviews of t-shirt printing companies and their products

NEW Lavabear shirts by Nathan Hamill at outsmART Originals

by
Outsmart Originals is proud to present two new incredible releases from artist Nathan Hamill. Based on his iconic designer vinyl figure, Lavabear, we are thrilled to be working with Nathan on these new releases. We have two t-shirt projects dropping in October with the first being ‘Lavabear Rising’ featuring the vibrant and sharp, eye-popping color design screen-printed on ultra cotton tees.

The second release, ‘Lavabear: Artist Edition’ depicts the character in an original hand-drawn design by the artist.  A mix between minimalism and abstract styles, the artist has created a classic version of Lavabear that is easily identifiable as well as fascinating.

**Both releases are now available for pre-order and will only be printed to order and are scheduled to ship in October. Men’s shirts will be screen-printed using ultra cotton tees for a classic and long lasting fit while the women’s tees will be printed on soft-style ring-spun cotton jersey tees for a flattering fit.

Join the Lavabear clan and proudly show your support for Nathan Hamill’s loveable creation.

"Lavabear was once a shapeless, colorless being created from stardust by The Those. Over time, he rose into a vibrant, ursine-esque creature.
His sole purpose was to guard the entrance to the Sacred Realms of Märchen and, along with it, its memories, treasures, and secrets.
The legend goes that if awoken from his deep hibernation, those foolhardy enough to trespass on his Sacred Grounds will be met with a terrible and ancient wrath.
His paws, it was said, shall lower, igniting the Eyes of Ulyssia and, with it, one thousand cursed flames. Once alive, Lavabear will seek down the intruders and bury their bones in his fiery belly…
…returning him once again to his deep, sound slumber."

- Nathan Hamill

Some seriously f#cking cool designs from amazingly talented artists.

New Andy's Threads x Deth Becomes You Tshirt Release

by

Andy's Threads teams up with malevolent monster maker Deth Becomes You for a ghoulish release- Steam Punk Andy Tshirts! The Tshirts are up for Pre-Order here, for 25$ea.
Deth's design comes from a custom Android piece he created by the same name. This looks like it hurt a little;

The custom inspired an inked lineart piece. While primarily a 3D Artist, Deth's lineart effectively renders the skeletal and mechanical undertones of the original custom.

Place your pre-order for Steam Punk Andy tshirt here before August 26, when these shirts crawl back to the crypts from whence they came! For more from DBY you can check out his website here or follow his Twitter @dethbecomesyou

ColorBlind Exhibition Recap Matt Anderson at SubUrban Vinyl

by

Matt Anderson really poured it on for his first Solo exhibition with Sub-Urban Vinyl Gallery. Matt sculpted, cast, painted, delivered and installed, with the help of friends, family and gallery crew, artworks both large and small.

Getting things installed with RsinArt

Waiting For Opening

Matt A* Sporting some RsinArt Custom Plugs

The pieces installed around the gallery included both hung and freestanding sculpture. More than 50lbs of epoxy sculpting agent went in to building these behemoth sculptural works of art- many of which light up and glow. Check these bad boys out;

Death's Head
Death's Head - there's a Death's Head Moth with a skull pattern found in nature. But what you won't find in nature is this monstrous winged, light-up spider. Whatever your last nightmare was- this guy can take it down. He could be on your side- if you adopt him here.

JA_M13
One of 5 lovely ladies- cast in resin and accompanied by a GID Resin filled glass tube. I'll have what she's having - Matt surprises audiences with a sensual sculpt. These pieces have glow in the dark coloured filling in the glass canisters, and come in Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Peach. Available ones can be found here.

Painters Magic
Matt stepped out of his comfort zone a little to do a sculpted piece with a painted 2 dimensional component. The tentacle (which also lights up) holds a spray canister, suspended in the act of 'spraying' the canvas it is mounted on. This piece can be found here.

Daisy
Daisy is one of two complimentary 4" Munny pieces Matt created for the exhibition. Under their bronzed finish is an electrical component that lights up, shining blue through the cut-open segments. Click for Daisy and Octo.

Norsemen Sentinel
Norsemen Sentinel may not see you coming right away, but is no less effective in his dark and purpose. The patterning on the horns is a nice touch. You can find this piece online here.

The Guardian

Life-sized and ready to light up the night, The Guardian is a freestanding sculptural achievement of dynamic form. If it weren't for the canister of glowing material in the back of the opened head, I'd be ready to believe The Guardian were a real preserved octopus. You can find it here.

Chauliodus
Just when you thought things could not get more horrifying- here's a piece inspired by the Viperfish "Chauliodus". Matt imbued this piece with a lot of movement and animation- emphasized by the subdued, iridescent colours. You can find it here.

If you already have a giant sculptural octopus living in your home- that's okay, Matt and Outsmart Originals have released something you don't have yet. Click here for the new colorway of Matt's latest Tshirt design.

If you have any questions about the pieces you have seen online, or commissioning new works, reach Matt Anderson at Anderson.artdesign@yahoo.com . For new works, keep up to date on Matt's Facebook and Instagram @mattacustoms

Jason Chalker x outsmART Originals presents BOBA FINK

by
outsmART Originals is starting out 2013 with a great new T-Shirt design by Jason Chalker of Manly Art. Appropriately titled "Boba Fink", Jason's designs combines Star Wars and the famous Rat Fink, while giving the design and overall old school hot rod feel. The Boba Fink design does great justice to the original Rat Fink by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. For those who don't know that name or his character, you should spend some time reading up on him. Jason Chalker's design replaces the iconic hot rod with an equally iconic Slave I spaceship with Boba Fett in the drivers seat. The design even includes the popping out eyes and tongue out of Boba Fett's helmet. A very cool hot rod x star wars mash-up.

From outsmART Originals:
Known for his witty and incredible takes on pop culture icons, this new hot rod design is being released on the heels of his Big Trouble in Little China homage, The Lo Pan Express. Don’t miss another of Jason’s muscle machine designs and pre-order your Boba Fink tee today before he races far, far away…for good!
Wearable art for the ART-official intelligent….humanoid or droid.

If the awesome shirt was not incentive enough, all customers who purchase the shirt will be entered to win a the original drawing by Jason.

As with all previous outsmART Originals Pre-orders, the shirt is available in a wide array of sizes for both men and women, with only a $25 price tag. The Boba Fink design is expected to ship in February.  outsmART Originals also still has some of the previous designs for sale in limited quantity and sizes.
