Ardabus will have many fine art prints, including new limited edition Inverted "Telling Time From A Broken Clock" 11x14" fine art prints, made on 300gsm fine art paper.

Ardabus has been working on new custom toys, including Coarse 4" Omens.

The Obligatory Owl By Ardabus Rubber

Once in awhile Ardabus Rubber gets up to something with a representational flare- and it's really cool. There's something cosmic about the composition of the elements, with a few stylistic appropriations of the artists' recurring circus themes. 

The Obligatory Owl is a new addition to Ardabus' inked lineart drawings and prints. This piece is now available as an 11x14" giclee print on 300gsm entrada cotton rag paper.

The Ultimate Legend - The Warrior by Ardabus Rubber

Wrestlemania VI Neon version 

Ardabus Rubber releases a series of new fine art prints, based on a tribute artwork after the recent passing of The Ultimate Warrior. Ardabus explains that growing up, wrestling had a profound effect on his life growing up. He has created an inked lineart piece in 4 distinct colour editions, available in his webshop.

These 12x16" Fine Art Prints are painted on 310 GSM Elegence Velvet Cotton Rag paper. The edition sizes reflect intimate details of The Ultimate Warrior's professional carreer;

- Wrestlemania VI Neon version - Classic Warrior colors. Limited to only 6, for his victory at WM6.
- Rookie version - Black and yellow, the mask he wore during his debut match as Ultimate Warrior on 10/25/87. Limited to only 2, for the number of minutes it took for him to win the match.
- Fire Paint version - From his Survivor Series match 11/24/88. Since he was on a team of five, this one is limited to 5.
- My (Ardabus') Favorite Color version - Pretty self explanatory. This one is limited to only 8, marking the day he died. RIP Warrior.

Ardabus' hope is for these artworks to be enjoyed as a fitting tribute to The Ultimate Warrior. The care and attention to detail that goes in to elements like the edition numbers, and colour variants never ceases to impress me!

Ardabus Rubber has been hard at work prepping for Designer Con, where he's bringing it big!

Ardabus will have 2 shelves of customs at Spankystokes Booth 201, including the custom Huck Gee Skullhead Dunny pictured above. Also at Spankystokes, be on the lookout for new large format fine art prints like "There Can Be Only One Possible Ending" inspired by Fight Club.

 

 

 

Watch for Ardabus Rubber Customs in Dragatomi Booth 300, and catch the artist at his signing at Trampt Sunday 1:30pm at Booth 601. Ardabus will also be exhibiting a piece in Trampt's Hustle & Hype.

OkTOYberfest Group Exhibition Recap

 

OkTOYberfest group exhibition, featuring Ardabus Rubber, Fuller Designs, JC Rivera, Rocketboy and Shadoe Delgado at Royal Flesh Tattoo Gallery, opened Oct19th and was a smash hit. The space was packed from opening until closing as guests mingled, enjoyed drinks provided by Atlas Brewing Company, and won raffle prizes from Royal Flesh Tattoo Company and Rotofugi.

The Purge - Custom Dynamite Rex by Ardabus Rubber

"The Purge", as it's titled by Ardabus Rubber, is a Custom Dynamite Rex figure for the Clutter Gallery and Dynamite Rex Custom RAAAR! group show. The Custom RAAAR! show is a collaborative group exhibition which features customs by a number of artists, utilizing RAAAR!, a Dynamite Rex figure. Ardabus Rubber's contribution features bright colors, with slight color gradients, in his typical style often seen with his art. Flowing lines, bright colors with black outlines, along with the black accents over the pink base, really brings the figure to life. If this piece doesn't sell at the show opening night, be sure to look for this and the remaining figures online at the Clutter Gallery Shop.

The Custom RAAAR! Show opens August 10th at Clutter Gallery, with a reception from 6PM-9PM, and will remain up until September 6th. If you are in the area of Beacon, NY, it wouldn't hurt to make a stop and check out all the awesome customs.

Metroid Fine Art Prints from Ardabus Rubber

 

Not everyone can own a big sexy original painting. Dynamite Rex Raar! Exhibition Reveals- Patrick Wong

 

 

The Dynamite Rex "Raaar!" Exhibition is coming up quick. Opening at The Clutter Gallery on August 10th, the exhibition features a lineup of skilled artists customizing 6" Vinyl Raar toys, as well as lucky contest winners- like Patrick Wong.

SDCC might be over (in fact, I'm pretty sure it is) but Ardabus Rubber is keeping his Instagram @ardabusrubber and webstore popping with new one of a kind and limited edition works.
