ICYMI: Rey Custom Fonzo by Patrick Wong for HERoes Show at P!Q

P!Q Products recently opened a show titled HERoes, highlighting female heroes in pop culture. Patrick Wong decided to focus on a more recent blockbuster with his custom Fonzo, creating "Rey" from the latest Star Wars movie. "Rey" comes complete with her staff, as well as a BB-8 accessory which stands at 4". This piece, along with all the other submissions will be on display at P!Q Grand Central Station and will run until February 29th. Pieces are currently available in store and should be available for purchase online soon. Be sure to contact P!Q with any inquiries or questions.

Camilla d'Errico New Fonzo Gaia For FonzoLovesTheUK

 

It's coming up- it's happening! A fantastic lineup of talented artists from both North America and the UK have been gearing up for Freakstore's Fonzo Loves The UK exhibition at Sho Gallery opening this Saturday May 11.

 

Fine Artist Camilla d'Errico returns after a smashingly successful showing at Fonzo Love NY- her first Fonzo, "Rainbow In My Eyes", sold on preview. Camilla's new contribution is titled "Gaia" and her beauty is sure to ensnare you (figuratively speaking) in her beautiful flowing locks. 

 

"Gaia" will be available through the Sho Gallery, and if you're quick enough on preview, through freakstore@rocketmail.com for 280£. This is a good opportunity for fans both new and diehard to add an original oil painting of Camilla's to their collection.

Kumiho Custom Fonzo by Artmymind

Kumiho is a wonderful custom Fonzo creation for the "Fonzo Love NY" show at My Plastic Heart by the duo at Artmymind, Guillaume & Julia Lachambre. With the Artmymind duo recently having to move studios, while also enjoying the holidays, I am amazed with this latest creation. Artmymind did a great job with the Fonzo by making it stand 8" tall and even giving it a tail. The metal looking arm reminds me a bit of the recent film, "The Man with the Iron Fist". The colors and other sculpted features stand out in pictures, which leads me to believe that this piece is going to look even better in person. Made from epoxy clay, sculpey, acrylics, wood and other materials, Kumiho is just another representation of how good Artmymind is at creating great pieces of art. Whoever ends up this great piece is one lucky person.

 

The Fonzo Love NY show at MyPlasticHeart is going to be one great show. The show opens today, January 11, 2013. With the opening reception from 6pm-9pm with many of the artists making an appearance at the reception.

Fonzo Growhouse by Ian Ziobrowski for MPH Fonzo custom show

The Fonzo Growbot, is one of the many interesting grow facilities created by NUGGs.  This old scrapie robotic, piece of junk is completely self reliable.  Produces its own energy, gather's its own water, and feeds its own plants.  Once every 3 months NUGGS come's back around to gather his greens, and the cycle continues on as long as there's no interferences.

Camilla d'Errico Custom Fonzo for Fonzo Love NY

Comics illustrator and Fine Arts painter Camilla d'Errico has a new painted toy to contribute to My Plastic Heart and Freakstore's Fonzo Love NY Exhibition.
Fonzo is a 6" French Bulldog platform, an animal close to Camilla's heart as she owns her own little Frenchie named Loki.

This piece, titled "Rainbow in my Eyes", features a dripping rainbow spill that follows a similar vein to some of Camilla's recent Pop Surrealist paintings she exhibited at her Candy Escape Show last October.

Fonzo Love NY custom show at MPH!

Can't miss this!!

On January 11, 2013 the always gracious my plastic heart crew are hosting another massive custom show. This one's curated by our friends at Freak Store Venezuela and all customs will be using Fonzo as a platform.

64 Colors, Andrew Bell, Aya Kakeda, Beast Brothers, Chuckboy, Fuller, Hydro74, Ian Ziobrowski, Jeremiah Ketner, Scribe, Southern Drawl, Rsin.....soooo many artists you know and love!!

Many of these artists are local so I'm sure there will be lots of them at the opening night. It'll be a great night to shake some hands, snag a Fonzo custom and maybe a walk out with a quick sketch too!

Lynx a custom Fonzo by Charles Rodriquez

Charles Rodriquez has amazing sculpting skills and he shows this again with his latest custom on the toy platform Fonzo. He made this for the upcoming event of Freak Store (Venezuela). This custom is 6 inches tall and he certainly looks great. Keep in mind that this is not the finished product, he will add some more items to it. Since it looks so great, we have to show you guys this custom as a work-in-progress.
