Custom Artmymind Storm Trooper Helmets by Jon-Paul Kaiser

Jon-Paul Kaiser is awesome at putting his own take on pretty much any platform out there, including original sculpts he creates. Jon-Paul's latest completed commission goes perfect alongside the latest Star Wars trailer for Episode VII. Now, the commission has nothing to do with the latest trailer, but the completed pieces are a pair of custom Artmymind Stormtrooper/Samurai helmets. Each helmet is unique, with both having separate details and images. At a size of 3"x3"x2", these helmets are a nice size to work on. Jon-Paul left the original sculpt in tact, wanting to create a literal decorated helmet, adding the JPK-style to the helmets. While the front shows the JPK style of clean and simple accents, the backs of the helmets reveal a bit more, where Jon-Paul created a separate scenery image on the backs of each helmet. These pieces should make the lucky collector very happy. As with all of Jon-Paul's customs and work, the wonderful photos were taken by Justin Allfree.

Dynamite Rex Raar! Exhibition Reveals- Patrick Wong

 

 

The Dynamite Rex "Raaar!" Exhibition is coming up quick. Opening at The Clutter Gallery on August 10th, the exhibition features a lineup of skilled artists customizing 6" Vinyl Raar toys, as well as lucky contest winners- like Patrick Wong.

Tetsunoken Squad by Artmymind

Artmymind just posted up a recently finished commissioned set called "Tetsunoken Squad". In the middle of moving and creating awesome show pieces, Artmymind found time to create this awesome set of customs. This amazing set includes a custom 3" Dunny and 7" Munny. I really like the sculpted pieces on both figures, as well as how the hoses and metallic looking armor gives both figures a nice cyborg feeling. The details and finish on both pieces are clean, as always is the case with Artmymind pieces. This set is going to make one patient private collector very happy.

Kumiho Custom Fonzo by Artmymind

Kumiho is a wonderful custom Fonzo creation for the "Fonzo Love NY" show at My Plastic Heart by the duo at Artmymind, Guillaume & Julia Lachambre. With the Artmymind duo recently having to move studios, while also enjoying the holidays, I am amazed with this latest creation. Artmymind did a great job with the Fonzo by making it stand 8" tall and even giving it a tail. The metal looking arm reminds me a bit of the recent film, "The Man with the Iron Fist". The colors and other sculpted features stand out in pictures, which leads me to believe that this piece is going to look even better in person. Made from epoxy clay, sculpey, acrylics, wood and other materials, Kumiho is just another representation of how good Artmymind is at creating great pieces of art. Whoever ends up this great piece is one lucky person.

 

The Fonzo Love NY show at MyPlasticHeart is going to be one great show. The show opens today, January 11, 2013. With the opening reception from 6pm-9pm with many of the artists making an appearance at the reception.

The dynamic duo who make up Artmymind, Guillaume and Julia Lachambre, have just released their newsletter which contains amazing news for any collector wanting to own one of their fantastic custom pieces, or even expand his/her collection. The "Shoakuma Dunny series" is going to be an open edition of two separate colors. With amazing detail and colors, this Dunny series release is just amazing.

Shoakuma Dunny series

They are finally here! Artmymind's new Dunny series is ready to be unleashed over the world and trust us when we say that these little demons shouldn't be taken too lightly. Do not be fooled by their cuteness, because they bite pretty bad.
"Born from the twisted energy of the underworld, the Shoakuma is easily the most underestimated creature that can be met among the thousand fangs minions. Small in size, this little demon overcompensate his lack of strength by a voracious appetite and the habit to hang around by hundred of thousand of his siblings."

When we created Artmymind, we promise ourselves that we would always do our best to make our art available to the most and not only focus on very limited or exclusive releases. The Shoakuma series is our effort to make this happen and we hope that you will all enjoy what we came up with.
Available in two open run editions and a third mystery one limited to only 10 pieces that will be revealed before the release via our social sites. They will all be available on November 27Th at 11pm GMT for $79 and $89 +s/h in our online Store and we will keep the run open for exactly a week after the release. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks before shipping for each figure to be numbered and the artist's cards produced.

With most Artmymind releases, the limited number editions tend to sellout within seconds of going live. This open edition release will give collectors from 11PM GMT November 27th to 11PM GMT December 4th to snag one or more of these pieces. At $79 plus shipping, I think this is a good deal for one of Artmyminds exquisite customs. As with previous open editions, I'm sure Guillaume and Julia will have a lot of work ahead of them to fill all the orders that is sure to go their way. Also, a 3rd colorway has yet to be revealed, so make sure to follow Artmymind in all social media formats to get a glimpse of it.
