In 2015, Kevin Gosselin released the set of Sock Rocks, an initial trio of Christmas Coal. These resin little guys were cast and hand painted by Kevin and right now, the newest additions to the Sock Rock family are being created. The new characters are likely going to be completed in time to be available for the approaching holiday season. For those who don't already have the initial trio of Sock Rocks(Victor, Thaddeus, Winston), they can be purchased through Kevin's online store right now. Also, be sure to check out Kevin's other available pieces.

More than a year after launching a successfully funded Kickstarter to produce the Dead Kozik bust, artist Kevin Gosselin is working his way through his custom Dead Kozik bust list. With 4 Kickstarter backers opting for the Custom Dead Kozik bust reward, Kevin had a good amount of work to put in. His latest custom Dead Kozik bust is titled "The Man Inside". Essentially sculpting over half of the bust, Kevin recreated the flesh version of Frank Kozik. The end result is an amazing Jason Freeny-esque piece, which will definitely make a collector pretty happy.
Oh, like with many of Kevin's projects, he decided to make a mold of the sculpt. It's quite possible for Kevin to create more of these customs in the future. Stay informed by following Kevin on his various social media sites, or better yet, keep an eye on Kevin's website.

| SubUrban Vinyl exclusive Green Dead Kozik Bust |
What originally started as a sculpture created by Kevin Gosselin, for the Frank Kozik tribute show, turned into a successfully funded Kickstarter to get Kevin's creation into full on production. After many months of waiting, the production versions of the Dead Kozik busts are starting to show up at retailers doorsteps. First up, is Suburban Vinyl, who recently received their shipment of exclusive Green Dead Kozik busts. For those who maybe missed out on the original Kickstarter, can now buy the Green Dead Kozik bust and possibly have it in time for the holidays.

Over the weekend, Clutter Gallery and Dynamite Rex had a custom RAAAR! show. Based on the number of pieces already sold, it seems to be a successful opening weekend. Clutter Gallery now has all of the remaining pieces up for sale in the online gallery shop. Many great pieces are still available to be purchased.
My personal favorite from the show has to be Kevin Gosselin's submission, Nervous Rex. A sculpted RAAAR! figure, with the head turned to the side to allow the tail to be positioned in the Dino's mouth. With a sculpted head and accents pieces, it's really an amazing piece. Kevin's piece sold at the opening reception, along with many others.

With roughly 24 hours to go in the Dead Kozik Kickstarter campaign by Kevin Gosselin, the project still needs a little over $2000 to be fully funded. This means that if you were holding out til the last minute or on the fence about supporting the project, it's time to pledge and help this project become reality.
If the Kickstarter doesn't get funded, I'm sure we all can expect to see more campaigning on social media to get a second attempt through and fully funded. Something to keep in mind, this Kickstarter project is the only way to get the Red and GID colorways of the Dead Kozik bust. If funds are low, you can still support the project by pledging for a T-shirt or stickers. Either way, this Kickstarter needs a lot more pledges in it's final day to get fully funded. Spread the word and lets make this a successful Kickstarter project.

So...Frank isn't really dead but this big ass (13") vinyl bust gives us a good idea of what that might look like. Designed by Kevin Gosselin, blessed by Kozik himself, this is a must for collectors of giant busts of Frank Kozik (which should be everyone).
In addition to the busts themselves, you can also get some boss stickers and the two colors available through the Kickstarter will never be made available through any other channel. So pony up ya' jerks, let's get this one made!

Kevin Gosselin recently finished a set of custom mini munnys called the Birch Tree Ent Mini. A small series of 10 customs are going to be made available for purchase at Noon PST on February 9th. Made using a Mini Munny as the base, Kevin sculpted and painted the gorgeous piece you see below. With a price tag of $275 plus shipping, I think that this a perfect price point for such an awesome piece, considering Kevin recently auctioned off his MW3 APs for more. I'm sure this will make any collector very happy.
If you are keen on purchasing one of these customs, be sure to get your F5 button ready before noon on Saturday. To go along with this release, Kevin has also put up a few more customs in his shop, Sydney the Sapling and Field Study Mouse. A couple of great looking pieces as well.

Kevin Gosselin recently posted a few of his latest completed customs on his blog: a Custom 3" Betso Dunny and a Custom 5" MadL. Known for his great sculpted pieces, these two latest customs by Kevin are indeed some awesome sculpted pieces.
The "Slow Rider" is a custom 2011 Betso Dunny. The Rabbit rider comes complete with a canteen and sleeping blanket, just like any proper rider. The rabbit rider looks similar to the smaller rabbit Kevin created inside of a backpack for the Most Wanted 3 Dunny Series. I like how Kevin incorporated the Betso Dunny in this custom, rather than just completely recreating a whole new figure, you can still tell that the Betso Dunny is still within the custom.
The Custom 5" Madl, titled "Tambo Inca" (Inca Fort), is another sweet sculpted custom. The detailing in all of the steps and brickwork is amazing. The Inca styled face and added moss-like texture just adds to the great detail yet to be seen in this custom. I'm sure the recipient of this custom will have tons to look at when he/she gets the custom in hand.

Both customs seem to be commission pieces and therefor not for sale. For any collector wishing to have a commission made by Kevin Gosselin, Kevin always seems to be taking commission requests. Keep in mind the list may be quite long. Also, Kevin is working on getting the Kozik Bust he created for the Kozik show at 1AM Gallery, mass produced in a sense, sometime next year. So if you are going to request to be added to Kevin's commission list, be patient like the collectors of these 2 customs and you are sure to not be disappointed.
Keep up with Kevin Gosselin here:

If you are in the Sunshine State in early December, you have the opportunity to witness one of the craziest custom shows happening this year: Wizard Sleeve Toys is throwing a giant art show and sale called the Multiversal Group Show at this year's Art Basel in Miami, FL.
Along with the work of dozens of traditional artists, Wizard Sleeve Toys will be exhibiting 20-inch custom Qees in a show called "Qee to the City". Mike of WST and I pulled some strings and managed to get 8 giant 20-inch Qee Bears out to 8 of the most talented toy customizers working today:
With this much talent, and this much vinyl, the Qee to the City custom show is gonna be off the hook! I just got off the phone with NEMO and Ian and they're stoked about the giant Qees they just received! Stay tuned to this blog, and the blogs of WST and the artists listed above, to see work in progress shots and teasers as we run up to the beginning of December.
This show would absolutely NOT be possible without the help and support of Raymond Choy and Kevin Winnik of Toy2R, and of course our friends at Apex distributing Toy2R toys here in the US.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Says Kevin:
"Say Hello to Bacon. This little guy tries as hard as he can to be mean. He's even borrowed a bloody halberd and shield from his father but try as he might, deep down inside he's just a sweetie. Bacon is part gorilla, part boar and all around nice guy.
Bacon was made from a 7" Munny, wire, plumber epoxy, screws, polymer clay and leather. This was my first attempt at this size and I loved it. It's perfect. Large enough to allow for all the detail I want and small enough to be practical. Want to see how I made this? A lot of you probably saw a lot of images I posted over the last couple weeks. I wasn't just showing off. Nope, I was amassing as many pictures as I could to assemble a tutorial. Plan on seeing a tutorial from me within the next couple weeks."

You can find out more about this Dunny on Kevin's blog.

Seattle-based toy customizer Kevin Gosselin graciously shares with us images of his most recent work on a Mini Munny. From Kevin's blog:Following my two recent commissions, the vampire and the artist series suffocating piece, I was asked by the same private collector to create a custom munny with the police officer theme. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of police officers especially after my recent experience with jury duty. But after mulling this concept over I did remember one detective that has always arrested my attention. That would be one Sam Spade. Sam Spade is the legendary character from the 1941 film classic, The Maltese Falcon, portraited by one of Hollywood's best, Humphrey Bogart. Now in the film, Bogie plays a private detective and not a police officer, but I took some liberty with the character and suggested a Sam Spade from his years prior to his private practice.
The custom was created using a 4" Mini Munny, wire, polymer clay and acrylic paint.
