We are super stoked to be host the exclusive release of our friend Nerviswr3k's first full resin mini figure series he is calling the "Nibirian Drones." These amazingly detailed resin figures were cast by We Are Not Toys and will retail for $35 per blind box or $350 for the full set of 12 pieces. They go on sale tonight (December 8th) at 6PM EST on our Super Series Sundays page.
Do not miss this release- $35 is an insanely low price for a piece designed and hand-painted by Nerviswrek. Typical Nervis customs retail for $200-$600. Even his 3" customs usually retail for $50-$75!

TaskOne shares with us his entry into the Playsam 500- Cheddar, Days Ahead is a custom based on the Playsam Streamliner wooden toy. TaskOne always kills it.
This show at Super7's San Francisco shop looks amazing- I've seen a ton of sweet customs in this show, like this one and this one.
Task and I are talking about doing a Tenacious exclusive release later this year. Any suggestions?

This, for me, is like the ultimate collectible: my collecting started young, probably at age 2 or 3, with Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. I had a huge collection. Eventually I moved on to 1:24 and 1:18 scale cars by Maisto, Burago, etc, and then onto building my own models cars and, when I was a teenager, building and racing R/C cars. Now that I'm into designer toys and artwork, it seems that my collecting has gone in a different direction than when I was little... until now.
TYO Toys brings everything full circle for me- I can collect my little vehicles AND original art by the artists I love, at the same time!
This piece is nuts: Task ripped the thing open, jammed his 3D tag in there, painted and weathered the body of the truck... just really sick work. To follow TaskOne, check the following links:

To buy your own DIY vehicles from TYO, click here. There's a ton of cool stuff they offer: police cruisers, trailers and trucks of all sizes.
Anyone who buys and tags the crap out of a TYO Police Cruiser, I will trade for $100 worth of brand new designer toys. Just sayin. Email me.

From the twisted mind and capable hands of artist TaskOne comes Terminator Che! The original Dead Che bust was designed by Frank Kozik and sculpted by Brin Berliner. This custom piece has been "reinterpreted" by Task, with photography seen here by Brad Topolewski. Pretty damn evil.

Fly Me to the Moon is a new custom by legendary customizer TaskOne, incorporating a 20-inch Mega Munny, as well as an 8-inch Dunny floating inside the suit. When Task starts working, the result is always epic... this custom is no different!
NASA ain't been on top of it's game lately ... so Dunny gotta step up...
The button on his chest lets you scroll through different RGB LED light patterns...
Dunny also has a mount at the end of his hose so he can be suspended from wall, ceiling, floor or spaceships...

You can pick up this custom and several others in Task's shop, and definitely visit his slick website to find out more about him and his work.

high and dry (a custom Coarse Toys Jaws figure commission by TaskOne)
1. Lit. [for water] to recede and leave someone untouched. The waters receded and left us high and dry.
2. Fig. to leave someone unsupported and unable to maneuver; to leave someone helpless.

Matt Anderson customizes toys using electronics and heavy sculpting work. As he progresses, his pieces are diverging more sharply from the platforms they are based on. You can find some of Matt's custom Mini Qees here in our shop. Matt has a website and he's on Facebook.
Evilos shares with us the light-up technology he's employing in his current Tron Legacy-themed customs. This is an Android figure, designed by Andrew Bell for Google. We're going to have him working on a few more pieces, exclusively for our shop. Go check Evilos on his website and Facebook.
And of course, when discussing electronics, the survey would not be complete without mentioning TaskOne, the godfather of creative electronics usage in custom toys. Above video is of Task's piece for the "They Came from the Streets" show and it does not have any electronics, but the sculpting is incredible. Go check out TaskOne's website, Facebook and YouTube for more.

If you are in the Sunshine State in early December, you have the opportunity to witness one of the craziest custom shows happening this year: Wizard Sleeve Toys is throwing a giant art show and sale called the Multiversal Group Show at this year's Art Basel in Miami, FL.
Along with the work of dozens of traditional artists, Wizard Sleeve Toys will be exhibiting 20-inch custom Qees in a show called "Qee to the City". Mike of WST and I pulled some strings and managed to get 8 giant 20-inch Qee Bears out to 8 of the most talented toy customizers working today:
With this much talent, and this much vinyl, the Qee to the City custom show is gonna be off the hook! I just got off the phone with NEMO and Ian and they're stoked about the giant Qees they just received! Stay tuned to this blog, and the blogs of WST and the artists listed above, to see work in progress shots and teasers as we run up to the beginning of December.
This show would absolutely NOT be possible without the help and support of Raymond Choy and Kevin Winnik of Toy2R, and of course our friends at Apex distributing Toy2R toys here in the US.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
