Jon-Paul Kaiser wasted no time customizing one of Kidrobot's Labbit the Barbarian figure. As a fan of Frank Frazetta's art, as well as the movie Conan The Barbarian, Jon-Paul saw the original figure and immediately decided that he had to leave his mark on this wonderful base. Jon-Paul was able to complete this custom in time for the event Northern Craft in Leeds on October 15th. For those in the UK, be sure to head on down to the Northern Monk Brewery, where the Northern Craft Fair will be featuring 30+ stalls of the finest art and crafts from around the world, which includes Jon-Paul Kaiser. This should be a great event, can't really go wrong with beer, food and art.

Finding it's way to it's rightful owner recently is one of Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest commissioned pieces, this time using a Huck Gee Blank figure. Ronin Blank is a handpainted custom blank showing a steadfast samurai adhering to his life as a loyal servant. Complete with a steal Katana, Jon-Paul utilized his minimalistic color approach to bring life to this lonely Ronin. Wonderful photos were captured by photographer Justin Allfree. With this private commission delivered, it's only a matter of time until Jon-Paul's next creation makes an appearance. It will be interesting to see if JPK gets a crack at the Clear version of the Blank Skullhead. Be sure to follow Jon-Paul on social media sites to stay up to date with all of JPK's latest creations.

Jon-Paul Kaiser has a little obsession with The Woodsman character, which made a successful appearance as a print during the New Year. Moving forward with the character, Jon-Paul developed an original sculpt and will be releasing a timed release series of these 4" resin figures. Evan Morgan has been tasked to help cast The Woodsman, while each will be hand-painted by Jon-Paul. Each figure will come boxed, signed and numbered. Pre-order for The Woodsman opens up at 12PM GMT and will be open for only 24 hours. The Woodsman is priced at £150 and two payment options will be available: full payment of £150(~$215USD) or a deposit of £50(~$72USD), with the remaining balance due after two weeks. Jon-Paul also mentioned that there will be a second, rarer colorway available during the 24 hour window, The Gingham, which will be limited in number. This is a great chance to get a piece by Jon-Paul Kaiser. Be sure to head on over to Jon-Paul's webstore and pick up The Woodsman.

Jon-Paul Kaiser has been pretty busy lately, prepping for his trip to California to attend Designer Con 2015. All this show prep doesn't stop him from continuing to deliver on completed commissions. Jon-Paul's latest delivered commission is a custom Dr. Destruction figure, by Muttpop. The Crow, Eric Draven, emerges from the Dr. Destruction figure, after a weekend of sculpting and endless sanding. This custom required a bit more sculpting work, due to the shape of the original head and intended completed result. Sticking to a simple color palette, JPK was able to create movement in the long coat and pants, as well as the added crow sitting on the shoulder. A nice completed commission, that should make the private collector happy. Photos were taken by Justin Allfree. For those attending Designer Con 2015, be sure to stop by Jon-Paul Kaiser's Booth, #112.

In between completing commissions and other projects, Jon-Paul Kaiser has found time to create some pieces to throw up in his online store. Jon-Paul has created 2 pieces that will be released on July 31, 1600 BST(11AM EST). "Heartbreak" is a custom Fatima figure, which was designed by Sam Flores. Jon-Paul left the figure intact, opting to cover the Fatima dress in imagery representing Heartbreak and hopelessness. This 8" custom is priced at £400.
The second release is called "Kitsune Tattoo Foot", which is a custom created using a 3AA 1:1 scale severed foot. This 8" GID foot features a Japanese Kitsune Tattoo and is also priced at £400. Both customs will be available through Jon-Paul Kaiser's online store on Friday at 1600 BST.

One of Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest commissions comes from a private collector from mainland China. With the customer only requesting a "Hands" theme, the rest of the design was left up to Jon-Paul. This piece was a bit different from what Jon-Paul is used to creating, in that there are no landscapes or characters being created. The end result however, is a wonderful custom which also features a secret UV painting on the flanks of the labbit, which the customer will be able to see(and possibly share with the rest of the world). Photographs were taken by Justin Allfree, Jon-Paul Kasier's photographer for everything.

The Passage set created by Coarse Toys is an amazing 3 piece set of figures, that sit in a row boat. The Ignited Version of The Passage features GID versions of the figures, which include a Ruth, Void, and an Omen. One collector commissioned Jon-Paul Kaiser to take the Ignited Passage Set and put Jon-Paul's touches on the figures to make them truly unique. Jon-Paul cleaned Void's Mask to make the glow even brighter on the piece. With highlights and strategic accents, Jon-Paul was able to make create a fantastic finished piece. In order to really show the work and beauty of this piece, Jon-Paul went to his go to photographer Justin Allfree to provide pictorial justice to the piece. After hours in Justin Allfree's studio, positioning and capturing the perfect shot, Justin still spent a good amount of time processing the shots to produce the wonderful pictures that can be shared with the world. Since only a few people are able to appreciate commissioned pieces in person, it's always great to have a photographer like Justin Allfree who will make the photographs show how beautiful Jon-Paul's pieces really are.

Jon-Paul Kasier's latest delivered commission is a KAWS piece. This particular KAWS piece is a Robert Lazzarini interpreted version of the KAWS companion. Robert Lazzarini is well known for his distorted perspective on familiar objects and art forms. Jon-Paul Kaiser enhanced this warped look even further, by making the flesh of the character seem twisted and distorted as well. Accentuating the original pieces lines and curves, Jon-Paul Kaiser did a wonderful job making this custom piece represent his own style of work. Photography, as with all of Jon-Paul Kaiser's pieces, is by Justin Allfree. For anyone interested in a commissioned piece, be sure to contact Jon-Paul Kaiser and get on his list.

Jon-Paul Kaiser seems to always have a stack of commission
work to complete and as customs arrive to their rightful home, everyone
else gets to envy the wonderful creations. Jon-Paul's latest delivered
commission piece is a Custom Troubleboy Squadt, designed by Ferg and
Brandt Peters. The design is relatively straight forward,
accentuating the existing lines of the original piece. Jon-Paul's
artistic black and white touch is very prominent in the overall finished design, creating a tattooed, weapon wielding troublemaker. Photography is taken by Justin Allfree, Jon-Paul Kaiser's go to photographer.

Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest custom is a Viking/Norseman inspired custom Mini-Munny. Created as a private commission, the customer gave Jon-Paul free reign to create whatever he wanted. With a Viking/Norseman character rolling around in Jon-Paul's sketchbook for some time, this custom was an ideal time to commit the character to a custom. With little sculpting, Jon-Paul created the rugged looking Viking, complete with a winged helmet. The wings actually came from Jon-Paul's Locodonta production Dunny, which really completes the overall look of the Viking Custom. Photography of the Viking Custom was taken by photographer Justin Allfree. For those who want to commission Jon-Paul Kaiser for a custom, be sure to contact him through his website.

As the year rolls on, more and more people are getting commissions done. Jon-Paul Kaiser's latest commissioned piece is a custom Squadt Ooze Terror Boy. Jon-Paul stated that he took this piece down a macabre path, creating the piece to have exposed and warped bones, with bloated flesh that was coming off in places. The red eyes of the piece work well with the typical color palette Jon-Paul uses. This should make the collector very happy. The wonderful photos were taken by Justin Allfree. For those interested in getting a commission completed by Jon-Paul Kaiser, be sure to send him an email through his website.
