The Polarized Polar Bear by Riser

Jordan "Riser" DeVries took part in the Urban Vinyl Daily group show with his customized JC Rivera's Dead As F*ck Bear titled "The Polarized Polar Bear. A ton of work was put into the awesome base, rather than into the resin Bear Champ, creating a pretty kinetic feeling custom piece. Riser took a simple approach to customizing the Bear Champ, essentially completing the Champ to go with the created base. Riser did some great work with the floaty and facemask the Champ has on, while having some awesome details in the form of corporation stickers on the floaty. Unfortunately for most collectors, this piece is already sold. There are several pieces from the show up at the Urban Vinyl Daily store, be sure to check out the rest of the available pieces before they are all gone.

Mech-Azrael Champ by Josh Mayhem

 

Designer Con 2014 had a bunch of great artists exhibiting and even a custom show put on by Urban Vinyl Daily. Featuring the Dead as F#ck Champ, designed by JC Rivera, Urban Vinyl Daily held the custom group show at Designer Con 2014. Josh Mayhem's piece consists of a great black and gold armor clad custom Dead as F#ck Champ. Resembling the armor typically seen with Gundam models, Josh's "Mech-Azreal Champ" also features the movable wings and extra appendages. This piece has been sold, but there are still a good number of custom Champ's available through Urban Vinyl Daily's online store.

DCon 2014 Booth #1133 features Shadoe Delgado, Cassandra Jerman, F Plus and One-Eyed Girl

At Designer Con 2014, Booth #1133, a number of artists have joined together to offer attendees a wide range of available art. Artists Shadoe Delgado, Cassandra Jerman, Josh "F Plus" Pearce and Kasey "One-Eyed Girl" Tararuj will have a number of available pieces ranging in price from $15 to $100. Everything from custom painted figures, to hand painted resin figures which were created from original sculpts. Booth #1133 is going to have a wide variety of available art, as well as the artists on hand who created these wonderful pieces. Designer Con 2014 is right around the corner, so be sure to pick up tickets online and head on down to Pasadena to check out all the great work these artists have put in to get everything ready for this packed weekend.

Custom DrilOne Dunnys for Designer Con 2014 by DrilOne

DrilOne is getting prepped for Designer Con 2014, which happens November 8th and 9th in Pasadena, California. Since DrilOne is going to have a signing at Designer Con, he decided to bring along some customs. DrilOne customized a few of his own production Dunnys, from the Art of War Dunny Series, as well as a few chases. Available for $100 each, DrilOne will have these guys available during his signing at the Spanky Stokes/Trampt Booth, #518. Cassandra Jerman debuts her art at Designer Con 2014

Artist Cassandra Jerman is making her debut at Designer Con 2014, alongside One-Eyed Girl, Shadoe Delgado and FPlus. This year at Designer Con Booth #1133, Cassandra will showing off her art and finally making her pieces available to the public for purchase. One of the pieces Cassandra will be debuting is the Flubghost, a 5 inch hand-painted resin figure. Aavailable for $75 each, this small edition of 4 individual one of a kind pieces features a collaborative sculpted figure between Cassandra and Shadoe Delgado.

In addition to the resin Flubghosts, Cassandra will also be bringing along some 2.5" resin cast figures. Priced at $25 each, each figure has been hand painted by Cassandra, while each sculpt will be limited to just 10 pieces. Cassandra will also have a 2.5 inch hanging ornament, also resin cast and priced at $25. Not to limit herself to just 3D art, Cassandra will have some prints of her original illustrations available. Priced between $5-10, the prints will be 8" x 10" and 5" x 7" in sizes. All those attending Designer Con 2014 should make an effort to stop by Booth #1133 and say hello to Cassandra, as she dives into the Designer Con for the first time.

This weekend, November 8-9, find Ardabus Rubber at Designer Con Booth #524. Ardabus' booth boasts a bundle of new prints, artwork, apparel... possibly snails?

Ardabus will have many fine art prints, including new limited edition Inverted "Telling Time From A Broken Clock" 11x14" fine art prints, made on 300gsm fine art paper.

Wreck It Ralph Custom Muttpop Tequila by Jon-Paul Kaiser

Even with Designer Con 2014 later this week, Jon-Paul Kaiser is still getting some commission work done and handed off, before making the long plane ride to Pasadena, California. His latest delivered commission is Jon-Paul's take on Wreck It Ralph, using a custom Muttpop Tequila figure. Jon-Paul was basically provided with an idea by the customer, who wanted a Wreck It Ralph custom, but didn't have a figure in mind for the base. Jon-Paul was drawn to the Muttpop Tequila figure, since Muttpop was one of the first companies which drew Jon-Paul into collecting vinyl toys. Essentially, the Tequila figure makes Wreck It Ralph a buffed out version of himself. Jon-Paul left most of the original Tequila figure in tact, while keeping to a clean and simple design. With a re-sculpted head and expert paint application, Jon-Paul was able to really bring Wreck It Ralph to life. All the photos were taken by Justin Allfree, Jon-Paul's go to photographer. For those heading to Designer Con 2014, be sure to attend one of Jon-Paul Kaiser's signings to not only grab a sketch, but maybe some custom work he may bring along.
