One-Eyed Girl will be at Booth #303 this year at Designer Con with plenty of work. In addition to the following,  there will also be customs, original sculpts, and new resins.

Kasey (One-Eyed Girl) releases new pieces for Five Points Festival Booth #223

Kasey (One-Eyed Girl) has a bunch of new pieces releasing this weekend at the Five Points Festival.

The first new release are her Hatchies!  Each baby dragon is a Custom Lunartik Cup of Tea and there will be five to choose from: Water Dragon, Lizard Dragon, Furry Dragon, Alien Dragon and Flying Dragon - at $90 a piece.

She'll also have a new batch of yummy Kritters and Kronies available, Cuppy Cako, Neapo Litan and Chip Chocko. She'll also have a few more of these little guys featuring little popsicle, candy apple and macaroon friends going for $50 - $100 a piece.

Along with these little guys she'll have tons of other original sculpts, custom toys, resins and 3D paintings all available at Booth #223!

DCON 2016 Booth #301: Kasey "One-Eyed Girl" Tararuj

Designer Con 2016 is right around the corner and it's going to be "Yuge". Artist Kasey Tararuj, aka One-Eyed Girl, is bringing some custom goodies to DCON Booth #301, sharing a booth with Zard Apuya. One of the sets that Kasey will be bringing is the Circus Sidekicks Set, a custom set of Wandering Misfits figures. Priced at $65 a piece, these little clowns will have a bunch of company for DCon 2016, as Kasey will have a bunch of customs and original pieces for sale. New Pieces by One-Eyed Girl

One-Eyed Girl has a few brand new customs up for sale.  Morimugs is a 7" Custom Trikky.  I have no idea what kind of creature he is, but he's cute right?  He is retailing for $200.

Squeedley Dee is a 4" Custom Billy The Squid.  A very grumpy little squidy,  he retails for $100 

Cocoa the chocolate bar is my personal favorite.  He is a 4" Custom Dookie-Poo retailing for $150

DCon 2014 Booth #1133 features Shadoe Delgado, Cassandra Jerman, F Plus and One-Eyed Girl

At Designer Con 2014, Booth #1133, a number of artists have joined together to offer attendees a wide range of available art. Artists Shadoe Delgado, Cassandra Jerman, Josh "F Plus" Pearce and Kasey "One-Eyed Girl" Tararuj will have a number of available pieces ranging in price from $15 to $100. Everything from custom painted figures, to hand painted resin figures which were created from original sculpts. Booth #1133 is going to have a wide variety of available art, as well as the artists on hand who created these wonderful pieces. Designer Con 2014 is right around the corner, so be sure to pick up tickets online and head on down to Pasadena to check out all the great work these artists have put in to get everything ready for this packed weekend.

One-Eyed Girl at Designer Con 2014 Booth #1133

 Designer Con 2014 is a great venue for artists to grab an affordable booth and get some face time with collectors and other artists alike. Kasey Tararuj, aka One-Eyed Girl, will be making her Designer Con debut with a Booth, #1133. One-Eyed Girl has been working pretty hard, creating new hand-sculpted and hand painted pieces to have for sale at DCon 2014. Seen here, is some mini-series that One-Eyed Girl will have available. The series Kritters and Cronies features a variety of custom toys from Micro's to Mini's. Each piece is priced between $50 and $100 each.

Also available at DCon 2014 will be some Furry Monsters. These Furry Monsters are dapper little custom Micros, which are priced at $65 each. For all those attending DCon 2014, be sure to check out One-Eyed Girls Booth, #1133. She is sure to have a variety of unique monsters, kritters and creatures available.

Recent Customs from One-Eyed Girl

Artist Kasey Tararuj, One-Eyed Girl, creates some pretty amazing customs. Each custom has her unique style, while the mainstream characters are still recognizable as such. Kasey's latest creation is for the "Turtles in Time" group show at Bottleneck Art Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. "Turtles in Time" is a group show which celebrates 30 years of Turtle Power. Kasey's custom features all four Turtles in a Leaning Tower of Pizza pose, each turtle carries his respective weapon and has his signature color. Created from 4 micro munnys, with lots of paint and sculpting, this amazing piece will be available during the show opening on October 3rd and online thereafter.

Also available, is one of Kasey's customs from the recent Vinyl Thoughts 5 Art show. Detective Furlock Ringtail is created from a MADL vinyl figure, featuring Kasey's unique style. Available now from the Vinyl Thoughts Nation online store for $200, this piece will make a great addition to any collection.

Latest One-Eyed Girl works for Clutter Gallery's Color Theory Exhibition

On September 13th, 2014, Clutter Gallery opened a group exhibition called "Color Theory",featuring colorful artist works from all around the world. Artist One-Eyed Girl, Kasey Tararuj, offered up 5 unique and colorful pieces for the show. First up is a custom Raaar and micro munnyworld pair of figures called Dorkosaurus "Dorko" Rex and Neandersloth. "Dorko" is the pet of Neandersloth. This pair of customs are available through the Clutter Gallery webstore for $300 plus shipping.

Bizmo and Buddy is another pair of customs, created from a 7" Munny and Micro Munny. Featuring One-Eyed Girls unique style and sculpting, this pair of figures work well together, with the colors of Buddy tying in nicely with Bizmo. This pair is available for $300 plus shipping through the Clutter Gallery Store.

Camo Cameron is a silly One-Eyed Girl chameleon character made using a 4" Foomi. Chameleons are awesome and Camo Cameron is not only a silly chameleon but is also a nice representation of One-Eyed Girl's style. This piece is available for $175 plus shipping through the Clutter Gallery online store.

The last two pieces from One-Eyed Girl is a chubby hummingbird named Neddy Needlenose and a carousel horse named Porcey the Horsie. Neddy Needlenose is a custom 4" Rooz figure, available for $175 plus shipping through Clutter Gallery. Porcey the Horsie is a custom Tokidoki Unicorno figure, available for $200 plus shipping. All of One-Eyed Girls pieces are a great representation of creating a character/figure in her own unique style. Camo Cameron is not only a Chameleon, but a One-Eyed Girl chameleon. It's nice to see One-Eyed Girl's unique take on each of these figures, especially since all of them feature a ton of sculpting work and paint application. "8 Bit and Beyond 2" Customs by One-Eyed Girl

Artist Kasey Tararuj, aka One-Eyed Girl, always creates some awesome in her own unique style. Kasey's latest customs, "Duck Hunter" and "Yosh and Baby", were created for the "8 Bit and Beyond: 2" group show at the Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Curated by Chogrin, the show centers around the video game characters. However, inspiration is not limited to the 8 bit realm of characters, hence the "Beyond". Kasey's "Duck Hunter" piece is inspired by an 8 bit video game classic, Duck Hunt. Kasey created the obnoxious dog and target duck using a 4" Bub and some great sculpting and paint work to bring the piece to life. This piece is priced at $200 and is going to initially be available at the Bottleneck Gallery during the show.

Kasey also created a second piece for the "8 Bit and Beyond: 2" show, "Yosh and baby". This piece was inspired by Kasey's favorite childhood video game, "Yoshi's Island". It features the character Yoshi and a baby Mario, which was created from a 4" vinyl Joe Ledbetter piece. Again, Kasey uses inspiration to create a well known character in her own unique style. This wonderful piece is priced at $175 and will also initially be available at the show. Opening reception for the "8 Bit and Beyond: 2" show is Friday August 8th from 7pm to 9pm. Those in the area should take a trip out to Bottleneck Gallery and support some great art.

Hellboy 20th Anniversary Art by One-Eyed Girl

Artist Kasey Tararuj, One-Eyed Girl, sent over some pics of a couple of awesome Hellboy pieces. If you haven't heard of Kasey before this, be sure to check out her art and read more about her story. As for the Hellboy art pieces, the pieces were created for a Hellboy Anniversary Show being held at the Hero Complex Gallery in LA. Kasey typically creates works which involve her own created characters and critters, which are pretty awesome. Not one to limit creativity, Kasey is starting to also create pieces based on known characters, but in her own style. The Hellboy and Abe duo seen here, were created using a mini and micro munny. Each piece is well sculpted and seem to be combined(at the top of Hellboy's head) to become a single unique piece. The paint application is indicative of Kasey's style and is wonderfully done. Unfortunately for most collectors, this piece is already sold, but there is a One-Eyed Girl piece from the Hellboy show which is still available.

In addition to the sculpted duo of Hellboy and Abe, Kasey created a One-Eyed Hellgirl 3D painting. This Hellgirl piece is Hellboy in Kasey's own One-Eyed Girl style. Kasey created this fantastic piece using Magic Sculpt, glass eyes, and has been painted using acrylic paints. The frame also is a nice addition, which goes well with all the colors used in the piece. This 3D painting is still available for $225 plus shipping at the Hero Complex Gallery, here. Kasey also has quite a few pieces available in her online store.

INTRODUCING: One-Eyed Girl

The Bat Man and Robin by One-Eyed Girl

So I was at the Vinyl Thoughts show in Brooklyn, mingling and checking out all the cool artwork when someone from the gallery walked by me and placed a big red dot ("SOLD!") next to this piece: "The Bat Man and Robin" by One-Eyed Girl... a new name, to me at least. This was one of the pieces that all the attendees commented on (along with the cute little blue booby-toucher piece by IROC Toys). I think a few of us just nodded to each other- "yeah, of course this one just sold"- the overall aesthetic was just really well-conceived and the piece has so much character. I love those crinkled eyelids! And the paintwork is so delicate and intricate. Great stuff.

 A little while later I was back standing near this piece again when someone leaned over to take a close-up picture, so I asked him if he was the buyer. No, he said, he was here with the artist! And I turned around and there was One-Eyed Girl (aka Kasey)! Not often that I get to meet new toy artists. Anyway, Kasey is super nice and clearly very talented so I let her know I'd be interested in covering her pieces on this blog.

Fellow Robotipus by One-Eyed Girl

I love this Lego guy extremely. Great details and concept!

Meet Fellow Robotipus!  Fellow Robotipus is the sweetest little old man robot.  A customized Lego Torch Flashlight, he stand about 8" tall.  Fellow Robotpus is a content and happy little gentleman just looking for his sweetheart fembot to shower with love and gifts!  I jumped out of my comfort zone for this one, robots aren't really my thing.  I tried to just stick with my style rather than focusing on how to make him too robotic.  I like him. My cute little old man will be on display at "Designing Outside The Lines", a lego-inspired show curated by James Brown at 1AM Gallery in San Francisco.

 

 "Most of us played with Legos as children, but some of us never stopped. The artists in “Designing Outside The Lines” are some of the most prominent Lego and toy designers around the world, spanning from the US to the Netherlands. Whether they are using record breaking amounts of Lego pieces, introducing new materials to Lego customization, combining simple minifigs with complex machinery, or anonymously installing ginormous Lego men on public beaches- they are definitely some of the most imaginative artists out there."
