Andrew Bell 2015 Halloween Android - Warty Witch

This is the third figure in as many years in the Andrew Bell Halloween android series. This years Halloween Android mini collectible joins Trickertreat and Lucky Lucy to continue the traditional Halloween theme of the last few years! Warty Witch is available now in the Dead Zebra Shop for $10! This beauty comes with a removable hat and a enchanted* broomstick! 

In addition they have also found a few Lucky Lucy boxes from last year, so there are a couple of bundle packs available while supplies last for only $20 in the Dead Zebra shop!

I've completed new hand painted pieces, like this custom painted 8" Camilla d'Errico No Ordinary Love statue colourway I'm calling "Attempted Murder". The original No Ordinary Love statue is blue and white, which I've repainted in a red and white palette inspired by Camilla's painting "Aida".

DCon Tasha Zimich x Deth Becomes You Collab Series

I had the pleasure of working together with un-Ded monster maker Deth Becomes You on an 8pc custom Mini Figure series releasing at Designer Con Booth 814.

Deth and I did a sculpt-and-swap, painting 2 of each others sculpts and also contributing 2 of our own independent pieces. The theme was loose - monster-y and undead, incorporating custom Micro Munnyworld, 3" Dunny and Androids. Deth's sculpts include an Android-turned-Spidery creature with huge glistening teeth, and "Boris" the carnie man in an Android costume.

I painted up a couple of Deth's sculpts, and contributed a painted Zombie KitKat Android and Boil-adorned little 3" Dunny. My colour palettes are noticeably bright, and Deth's flesh-like textures are most admirable up-close in person.

Pieces will be available Open-Box from my shared booth 814 at Designer Con, Nov 9-10, where I'll have an assortment of toys and art prints available also.

Sinister Sisters Android Series Drops 3PM EST on VinylRiot

I want to share a small series I put together with VinylRiot, the "Sinister Sisters" Android series, which drops today at 3PM EST. These 5 Androids are inspired by a painting of mine from this year, "Cordelia's Bad Hair Day". And being like her little sisters, each is hand-painted in a different colourway sold blindbox style here.
One order of a Sinister Sister Android will also receive a bonus 11x14" signed art print of Cordelia's Bad Hair Day as an extra gift.

These custom androids retail for 85$ea with free domestic shipping and a 1/5 chance of receiving the free gift print. When they drop at 3PM, they'll be available here.

Sculptor and monster-maker Deth Becomes You has opened fire- err, opened preorders, on a new series of custom Androids. These Dalek 'Droids exterminate their competition with relentless vigor and armoured coolness.

Camilla d'Errico Custom Android & Live Painting

 

A couple of weeks ago a Work-In-Progress photo surfaced of pop surrealist contemporary painter Camilla d'Errico working on a custom Android. She has finished the piece- and what a charming little girl she is! Bright blue eye a-twinkle, Camilla's signature traditional media style is very present when she, infrequently, paints designer toys.

 

Getting to watch Camilla paint on toys or canvas is mesmerizing- and Camilla will be live-painting at Emerald City Comic Con Fri Mar 1st in The Baltic Room 9:30pm. Hosted by outstanding female SuperGeek Molly McIsaac, artists David Mack, Carl Faulkner, Mark Brooks, Rebecca Watts, Camilla and many more will be live-painting into the night. The pieces the artists create will then be auctioned at ECCC the following day to raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital.

 

If you're attending Emerald City, or in the Seattle area, you can find Camilla d'Errico at ECCC Artist Alley booth#B15-16 where she'll be celebrating a new Charity Print Release and her brand new Artbook release from Darkhorse Comics.
