Toma by NervisWrek - Available now

 Monsters and creatures love candy just as much as dressed up little kids. Toma, by NervisWrek, is a Halloween inspired piece which shows the hesitation of a dressed up child, offering candy to another creature.This whole piece was sculpted using Magisculpt, Super Sculpy, acrylic paint and a lot of patience by NervisWrek. There are a lot of little sculpted details in this piece which have to be seen, even if in pictures, to be appreciated. Bread & Butter Pup by Jason Freeny

Jason Freeny is more recently known for his anatomical custom creations, which has turned into production pieces under XXRay, through Mighty Jaxx. While production pieces like the XXRay line and Friendly Fire pieces allow collectors to be able to afford Jason's pieces at a much lower price point, Jason's original sculpture work is where his Bread and Butter of creativity shall remain. One of his latest limited edition creations is Bread & Butter Pup, which features a 2 piece set. Completely hand sculpted using epoxy clay and finished with hand painting, each Bread piece stands at 8.5" tall, while Butter Pup hangs out at around 2.5". Priced at $890, Bread & Butter Pup is limited to just 10 sets, each signed and numbered by Jason Freeny. For those looking for some production pieces, check out Tenacious Toys. Amazing Resin Crystals From Skullerygram

Instagram resin caster & jewelry maker Marisa Rand @Skullerygram shares her beautiful resin pendants featuring colour-swirls, embedded ferns or moss, copper, or segments of butterfly wings. Clear resin pieces are something the Toy Community commonly hold in high regard, with muddy colour-shifts or embedded trope elements like Skulls or Glitter being a well-worn path. These pieces blew me right away.

The clarity, shape variety and vividness of the embedded elements is indistinguishable from crystal or glass. The Morpho butterfly wing segments being an especially original concept. Many of these pieces will be affixed with electroplated copper or pinned with eye hooks to be wearable as pendants, and sold through Skullerygram's Etsy 13/03/2015 at 7PM EST.

 Keep an eye on Skullerygram's Instagram for release details, currently planned for 13/3/2015 at 7PM EST here. Even if jewelry isn't your thing, they're pretty amazing. Many pieces will be $30ea, with some being $40+ea, for original sculpts, cast, and embedded art pendants on chains, they're an encouraging example of what resin casting in other fields would benefit to strive for.

This weekend, November 8-9, find Ardabus Rubber at Designer Con Booth #524. Ardabus' booth boasts a bundle of new prints, artwork, apparel... possibly snails?

MOLT the Locust Monster resin by Calmplex

From the heart of a volcanic planet in outer space comes the locust beast hybrid MOLT !!! Not an accident he was cursed by the planet Lords and lost his wings. But the intergalactic war associate's W.A.R.P. Corp had other plans for the newly formed beast.

The first resin toy from Marshal Couture (aka. Calmplex) of Donkey Jaw Projects, MOLT the Locust Monster stands three inches tall and is cast from an original sculpt and hand painted.  Limited to ten pieces, each MOLT comes signed, numbered and bagged with a custom header card with painted eyes.  $20 each.

G.I. Joe Show - "Adventure Team!" By Jason Chalker (Manly Art)

This beautiful one of a kind piece is from Jason Chalker a.k.a. Manly Art. It was created for the G.I. Joe show at Sub-Urban Vinyl a few weeks back. It is a 16"x20" acrylic painting on illustration board featuring the G.I. Joe Adventure Team. The piece is available now for $750 on Sub-Urban Vinyl's website.

In addition to the original painting, a limited edition print is also available. This is a 12"x18" archival ink print on Epson paper. It is limited to a run of 10 and each one is signed and numbered by the artist himself. They are available for $25 a piece right now at Sub-Urban Vinyl
