Right across the pond from Infernal Manor, through the Jelly Fish Islands, between the barnacle banks lies a mysterious Dark Harbor and the strange adventures of Lucy Curious.

Curious met Strange one Summer vacation by what one could only describe as fate. With a shared fascination of all things strange, the two spent every single Summer together identifying local animal species, rare poisonous plants, and collecting sample specimens of expired sea life.

One ill-fated Summer, Lucy’s vacation to the sea-side harbor never came to be, when her ship was lost at sea only a mere mile from the port... At first word, Lord Strange took his boat out to find Lucy where he quickly found himself caught in a hidden world between the living and the dead. Lucy eventually did wash ashore, the only survivor.

Upon her arrival to Strange’s manor, she is unable to find Strange but stumbles upon Strange’s secret laboratory filled with an army of curious mystical creatures and puzzling notebooks filled with plans for robotic marvels, maps to treasure filled ruins, worlds beyond worlds and top secrets yet to be known. It’s now up to Lucy to finish what Strange had started in, hopes of finding him one day.

Kickstarter - CALLIOPE: Stop Motion Animated Short Film by Circus Posterus

Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas recently launched a Kickstarter, via Circus Posterus, to fund the creation of a stop motion animated short film, CALLIOPE. The Kickstarter page is always better at explaining the goal of the campaign, so check out the video and the CALLIOPE Kickstarter page to learn more about the campaign. With reward tiers starting at $5, there is definitely a tier for everyone. Several tiers also include art from Kathie Olivas and/or Brandt Peters, so be sure to check out all of the tiers and pledge sooner than later. As with all Kickstarter Campaigns, funds are not taken until after a successful campaign. Circus Posterus and company are hoping to raise at least $110K to fund the creation of this project, with the campaign ending on November 28th, 2015.

Brandt Peters Sketchbook: Muse No.1 - A Kickstarter Project by Circus Posterus

Circus Posterus has joined the Kickstarter revolution to fund the creation of Muse 1, a 140 page limited edition sketchbook of works by Brandt Peters. This particular sketchbook will focus entirely on Brandt Peters' process, vision and ideas. The project started earlier today, is already picking up steam and will run for 30 days, ending on July 3rd. Various rewards include: a PDF version of the final sketchbook for a $5 pledge; packages which include signed hard copies of the final book for pledges starting at $24; even some custom Skelves which vary in size depending on the pledge.

With more than 79% of the overall funding goal already reached, this project looks like it will be fully funded in a matter of days, if not hours. Whether or not you are a person who agrees with Kickstarter as a funding platform, this project by Circus Posterus (along with others) is great for the Art Toy world. So, be sure to check out all the available rewards and if possible, make a pledge. Keep in mind that money is only exchanged after the funding time has expired and only if the project is fully funded.

Who's da Bomb?! online custom toy show

You might have heard by now that we are curating an online custom toy show. If not, here's the deal: the platform is the Toy2R Mini Bomb figures (originally had paint by Kozik). For more details & the flyers, check out our blog post regarding this endeavor.

August 31st is the submission deadline for images of the customized Bombs.

In the meantime I have already received a few images of finished customs, so I put up a Who's the Bomb section dedicated to them. Look for more customs to start poppin' up in that section on our site as we head towards Aug 31st.

This is our first foray into the custom toy world and I am very excited to see what everyone comes up with! I also must mention that this project would not be possible without the guidance and help of Delicious Drips, and a shipment of Mini Bombs from Toy2RUSA. So thanks to DD and Toy2R for helping me get this whole thing together.
