REVIEW: Nannoo by Lillikit

by

Lillikit is a South Korean shop that collaborates with artists from all over the world to create interesting art and designs. They were kind enough to send me some of their new Nannoo figures

Nannoo, a kitten flying to the sky, is the creation of  Lee Seung Min, an art director for films, animation and advertising from Seoul, South Korea.  Lee, along with her ten year old son, started the design of Nannoo with the simple shape of a ball.

Nannoo is a small sphere about the size of your hand (hands may vary, it's about the size of MY hand) with four legs, ears, a tail and an adorable cat design.  One of my favorite details is the design of the nose/mouth.  A line swoops in over the left eye curling around and joining a second line to create a smiling appearance.  Just looking at these little guys puts a smile on my face. Nannoo currently comes in five different colors, the Pastel Series, which are representative of the seasons.  Min and Lillikit have plans to release the Nannoo figures in many more fun and creative designs in the future as well as you can see below.  These toys will delight both children and adult collectors alike.

Furry Feline Creatives SDCC Exclusives...

by
San Diego Comic Con 2012 is coming and Furry Feline Creatives has just announced 2 exclusives for the show. Pictured above is the "Dragonmaster Ringo" which features a very cute cat with some extra deadly nunchucks. Now if I know for sure 1 thing, that would be to never trust a kitty with a pair of nunchucks and a smile. I love the color usage in "Dragonmaster Ringo" and think it will definitely be a hit to all!
The second exclusive to be released is "Puffridge Dragon." "Puffridge" is a cute little kitty dressed up in a dragon outfit. The face he is making seems to be a little frightened but maybe that is because he had just run into a real dragon. This is the first year Furry Feline Creatives has been in business and they have definitely done a great job for their releases for SDCC 2012!

Furry Feline Creatives Handmade Plush Toys

by
Furry Feline Creatives is the Los Angeles-based design studio founded by designer artist Cheri “Furry Feline” Ong and husband Alvin Ong.

Our love for cats inspired us with all these creations, cats are cute! When they sleep, they often sleep on their sides, with their paws at their muzzles or chest. They are attractive, endearing, charming and so adorable. So I wanted to make things that resembles that. It’s all the things that make you go “aaaaaww”… and we mix it up with our love of Pop Culture and stir. You then get the most silliest and funniest characters that you can relate and love!

But more importantly, all our art, books and other merchandise carry one sole purpose which is to share the power of positive attitude and influence in life.

Our hope is that our little colorful world of cuteness, humor, fun and laughter will encourage people to be positive, doing and thinking the right things that will produce the kind of behavior that is an example to all. As it will be an encouragement to those around you and an example that they can follow.

You can find Furry Feline on their website here and on Facebook here.

COOL SHIT AT SDCC: Tupac Cat by Jay222

by
Sculptor & painter Jay222 created a 75-piece run of Alex Pardee's "Tupac Cat" character for the Zerofriends booth (#5502) at SDCC. No two are alike, meaning you'll get a completely unique piece. This also means Jay has been worked to the bone and he's probably dead now, or at least has carpal tunnel. Way to go, Alex.

Here's the full details of this release, stolen directly from Alex Pardee's blog:
"IT'S TUPAC CAT, BITCH!" Sculpted & Designed by maniac JAY 222 (who sculpted my MOLAR BEAR, and who will be floating around the convention also so hunt him down), this fun rendition of my TUPAC CAT Character is available in 75 COMPLETELY UNIQUE, DIFFERENT, HAND PAINTED & EMBELLISHED VARIATIONS! No 2 are alike. Some are magical some are gangster, and some are downright SCARY (see the ZOMBIE one in that photo??). Make sure you come around the booth a few times throughout the convention as we will only be putting out a handful of these a day! And as a special bonus, anyone that buys one of these rare gems will get a FREE mini-book by ME and my good friend PHOTOSHOP featuring the adventures of Tupac Cat!
LIMITED TO 75, $70.00 EACH + FREE Mini Book!
