Take ‘em apart, put ‘em back together, paint them, Build Your Own Story!
Post-apocalyptic robot themed DIY art toys has just launched on Kickstarter
Budapest based SooperCrapz is a melting pot of emerging European creatives from contemporary artists through designers to street artists, specializing in the creation of robot themed wooden sculptures and DIY art toys.
SooperCrapz originally started as a love project of the street artist ‘Binshua’ a few years ago, when he started handcrafting robot themed sculptures in his bedroom, reusing scrap wood of nearby hardwood processing factories. Recently he teamed up with his mates to bring the wooden sculptures to a wider audience in the form of DIY vinyl art toys that are fully costumizable and playable in terms of paintwork and assembly.

Yeah yeah yeah, these aren't toys. I get it. Calm down.
You live in a house with a door, right? You need a doorstop more than you need a plastic toy, trust me. If you're a GoT fan, you need these Hodor doorstops. Yeah, OK, listen, my feed is full of Hodor fucking doorstops too. Most of them are basic blocks of wood. THESE are LASER ETCHED with precision awesomeness.
So ditch your crappy doorstops and grab a pair of these here on the Karvt site.
You'll be trendy ... this week.

Steamy Chums is a recently launched Kickstarter project, by Mira Conci of the Netherlands, to help fund the production of the Steamy Chums line of designer toys. Steamy Chums is a line of handcrafted and hand painted designer toys. In order to find more efficient ways of producing Steamy Chum figures, while maintaining high quality and standards, funding was needed. Mira Conci hopes the Kickstarter will not only produce funding to improve fabrication techniques and streamline production, but also allow for the development of new characters. The reward levels are priced in Euros and for people outside of the Netherlands, a few more Euros needs to be pledged for shipping. With rewards starting at just 1 Euro, there is a reward level for everyone. So, check out the video and if possible, pledge for a reward to help make this a successful Kickstarter project.

Pepe Hiller and Cris Rose have jointly designed and crafted new sets of wooden & brass sculptural toys- Arborobots! Each set includes 3 pieces; 2 robots and a telescope, the tallest of which stands 7". The Stargazer & The Gardener "Ramble & Roam" are extremely limited. Only 6 sets were made in each of 2 wood varients made of Wenge and Spruce wood.
The patterns on the wood grain are lovely in both dark and light sets, and being hand-made, will have some slight pattern variations in each that will make your set unique and individual.
UK Artist Cris Rose has some available on his eStore here.
You can find more of Pepe Hiller's wooden sculptural art on Instagram @pepehiller and his blog here.

The Queen of the instant sell outs has done it again! Lunabee teamed up with Pepe Hiller to make these cute little hand painted wooden bees. I have to say this collaboration is amazing! With Pepe Hiller's smooth wood skills and Lunabee's painting skills, combining both skills makes for a killer combination. Although these are SOLD OUT now, I am sure with enough requests both artists would definitely be up for another collaboration! For Lunabee's website please click HERE.
