Ian Ziobrowski, Nugglife, recently completed some commissions, each using a 3" dunny as the starting base. First up is a Breaking Bad set of 3 figures, 2 different Walters and a Jesse. Each figure is hand sculpted and painted, with some amazing detail on such a small figure. Gone are the signature Dunny ears, replaced with sculpted ears which more resemble that of a human. The two Walter White figures represent both sides of the famous Walter White character, the teacher and the drug lord, while the Jesse figure is just him. It's good to see that these characters were not created using the typical Yellow jumpsuit, but rather using the other recognizable clothing. Unfortunately for those BB fans out there who want this set for themselves, this was a commission.
In addition to the Breaking Bad set, Ian Ziobrowski completed another 3" Dunny commission of Jerry Garcia. As always, the Dunny ears were lopped off to allow for a more human shaped head. This figure is also hand sculpted and painted, which features Jerry in his younger years. Holding a lit torch (not a torch), Ian did a great job emphasizing notable features of Jerry Garcia on such a small scale figure.
For those who are interested in a commission, be sure to hit up Ian Ziobrowski and get on the list.

Ryan "the Wheelbarrow" Ferrell continues to make customs using his somewhat free form ty_po style of art, with his latest custom Dunny series: WHT/BLK. It's been some time since Ryan made the move from Colorado back to Florida and it seems that he's getting back in the groove, letting paint fly.
Available now, each one of these dunnys are a unique 1 of 1 piece of art, that come with an equally unique hand screen printed box. With some figures featuring strategic lettering to produce facial features like eyes and mouths, the series as a whole is a great example of Ryan's style of art.
From Ryan's Site:

Also available by Ryan is an 8" Dunny which is also painted in the WHT/BLK theme. This 8" Dunny sells for $310 plus shipping, while the 3" Dunnys sell for $58 plus shipping.

Be sure to check out Ryan's work and stay up to date by following his antics via social media.

Kidrobot and Kano, of Kanokid Studios, release the first Dunny of 2013, a 3" Dunny titled "Flight". The Dunny features a uniquely shaped head and a color scheme reminiscent of the old Transformers cartoon and toys. This Dunny design is limited to 3000 pieces and what looks to be 3 different colorways, however, there is no word on color ratios. The red, white and blue version is the main colorway, with the picture being on the Dunny box. Also, a purple and black colorway was leaked on Trampt. Nothing yet on the third colorway, but I'm hoping that the color is going to have more blues. If the color schemes look or sound familiar to anyone, just think Thundercracker or Thrust, Starscream, and Skywarp. Of course this is a reach, since there is no official word of what the influence behind Kano's design, but there seems to be more than meets the eye.
The Flight Dunny will be hitting stores on January 17th and will retail for $14.95 US, £12 UK, and €13.90 EU, depending on your location.

Over the last few weeks, the folks at Red Mutuca Studios have been revealing artist creations for their first 3" Dunny Mini Series called "Superish". The latest reveal is "Mizzzter REM" by Igor Ventura.
Description of Mizzzter REM from Red Mutuca:
The lines are clean on the pajamas of this little Superish hero and he even comes with a faithful little sheep sidekick(all handmade from scratch, 1 at a time). The nighttime face mask and cape are great accessories and really do this character justice. This series is shaping up to be epic.
Red Mutuca have been releasing a new design every week for the last few weeks, building up to the last release of available blind boxes. A huge amount of the series is already sold out, though previous presales. The remaining 40 blind boxes are going to be highly sought after and probably sell out quickly after being available. So, don't sleep and stay up to date with all of the Red Mutuca news.

Description of Mizzzter REM from Red Mutuca:
During the day, he's an average Joe; a hard worker, but he has no girls, no friends and no fun. But then, when the night falls and he is under his sheets, a strange and unexplainable force takes over: his ordinary life is suddenly extraordinary!
Running through the streets, chasing bad guys, bringing justice to those in need! Mizzzter REM, accompanied by his faithful sidekick Leaping Flock, owns the night!
Too bad he can't remember his own adventures when he reads about them in the news…

London based artist Paulo Mendes, aka Zukaty Toyz, has been putting in some studio time as of late. Zukaty is going to be releasing a dozen new customs with a price range of $55-75 plus shipping. Keep in mind that he is in London. Owning a few of Zukaty's customs myself, I really like the bold colorful pieces. The sculpted pieces look awesome as well and appear to have clean blending, which I really like. Overall, great attention to detail on all of the pieces. These customs are going to be available Wednesday, December 5th. Release time based on location: London 10PM; NY 5PM; LA 2PM. If you have your eye on one of these great customs, make sure to go to Zukaty's Storenvy and pick one up. While you are there, check out some of the other customs in the store, you might find something else you like.

It looks like Aaron Martin, Angry Woebots, has had some late nights laying some paint and creating a bunch of very cool one-offs. Aaron has already released a couple of 3 inch dunnys and some mini Teddy Troops, which already sold out. His next round of custom one-offs include four "Shadow Friend" 3 inch dunnys. This is definitely creating more excitement with collectors, especially with Aaron's much anticipated Kidrobot 8" production Dunny releasing December 6th, also titled "Shadow Friend".
The Mono-tone Dunnys are going to sell for $150 each plus shipping, here. All of which are awesome and would make a great addition to any collection.
Aaron is also putting up a sick custom MADL, which is going to sell for $300, here. My guess is that it's a 5" MADL. Custom MADLs don't come up very often and Angry Woebots custom MADLs are even more rare.
All the pieces are expected to be released at 12pm PST. For those of you who are keen on picking up one of Aaron's customs, you better get your favorite loaded up and F5 button ready. Since Aaron doesn't create custom Dunnys often, I'm sure the few that he is releasing is already being eyed by dozens of collectors worldwide. These customs are going to go quick, making a few collectors very happy and many left with nothing but hoping for another release. We will have to wait and see if Aaron is going to do another set of customs.
If you're in the San Francisco or LA area next week, be sure to hit up the Kidrobot signing and Dunny release. Aaron is going to be signing at both stores: LA on December 5th, from 6-8 PM for a pre-release and San Francisco on December 6th, from 6-8PM also. Check out the info here.
