Michael Keaton Batman and Bruce Wayne Set by Hot Toys

 I'm not gonna lie to you, I am partial to the Christian Bale Batman movies. I like the stories and the villains and the action... the way Bale speaks as Batman irritates the shit out of me, but I can deal with it because that's not a whole lot of the movies.

But a close second is the 1989 Michael Keaton Batman. Jack Nicholson as Joker might be fucking perfect casting. Anyway, Hot Toys obviously agrees that the Keaton Batman is worth producing, because here we have a 1:6-scale, two figure set of Bruce Wayne in his tux, as well as the Batman. The likeness of the head sculpt is pretty dead-on in my opinion. This set is available for $344.99 here at Sideshow, and they even offer a payment plan.

 

 

ThreeA Metal Gear Rex "Half-Size Edition"

One of the issues I have with ThreeA is the sheer size of some of the items they offer to me... I run a fairly small operation, so receiving, storing and then shipping giant ThreeA high-end pieces is kinda difficult for us at Tenacious Toys. Not to mention the fact that items prices over $300 tend to scare the art toy crowd away... I guess ThreeA realized that they better offer a smaller/cheaper option of some of those items.

Behold: the Metal Gear Rex "Half-Size Edition." Tons of articulation, just like the big version, but at a height of just 8.35" (20cm). The rail gun is about 11.5" long. Great size for a collector! War Machine Quarter Scale Maquette From Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron now available at Sideshow

NO SPOILERS, I promise. Just a head's-up that Sideshow is now offering this ridiculously bad-ass quarter-scale War Machine maquette here on their site! Pretty damn bad ass. It's a running joke in our house that if I'm left alone, one Marvel movie or another will end up on the TV. That's just the way it is... Love those goddamn movies! Anyway, see more pics of War Machine here. Kinda expensive, but then again this thing is 22 inches tall. Pretty epic.

3A Evenfall T.O.T.E.M Thug Pugillo up on Sideshow site

Looks like Sideshow has a preorder up for the 3A x Evenfall TOTEM Thug Pugillo 16-inch figure.

T.O.T.E.M consists of a select few that are the Earth's first line of defense. They are a covert group whose mission is to investigate and eradicate the interstellar horrors that plague the universe. 

The THUG are their weapon of choice, a remote operated bots capable of taking the enemy head on. Pugillo likes it rough. Savors every crunch under foot and a nice slow squeeeeeze until snap.

2013 "Sideshow" Dunny AP Set by Jon-Paul Kaiser

Jon-Paul Kaiser, or JPK for short, recently posted up his Kidrobot Sideshow 2013 Dunny Series AP set for all to see and purchase if keen. The AP set features both the regular and case exclusive Dunny, designed by Jon-Paul Kaiser. Also included in the batch is an A3 sized Locodonta Print, featuring the Dunny design. The print has a circus poster type of feel to it, looking like something that would be posted up all over town while the circus is in town.


Available now on JPKs online store and limited to 15 sets, the AP set is priced at 80 GBP plus shipping(around $145 USD shipped). Each set comes signed and numbered by JPK.

JPK also made the Locodonta print available as a stand alone product, priced at 25 GBP and limited to 50 prints.

ThreeA WWRP retailer Heavy Brambles revealed; Sideshow distributing

This is the USA Exclusive NG Defence Heavy Bramble

ThreeA just sent us pics of the upcoming WWRp-sized 7" tall retailer Heavy Brambles. These will be packed evenly in the case: 1 of each of the following to a case: Gravedigger, JEA Marine, Deimos Def, African Def, Cydonia Def and Regional edition.

Along with this, they let us know that Sideshow Collectibles will be handling the distribution, meaning I have to place my order through, communicate with and pay another company in lieu of ThreeA.

ThreeA stated that Sideshow would contact us, and has assured us that this will go smoothly. ThreeA says Sideshow will determine release date and wholesale pricing, which makes me slightly nervous. If Sideshow jacks up the wholesale price, I will have to do the same to your retail pricing.

So, I'm a bit skeptical, since I've never had much luck communicating with Sideshow, but I am hopeful that all will go down as planned. So now we sit and wait for Sideshow to email us.
