KAWS x Robert Lazzarini x JPK Custom

Jon-Paul Kasier's latest delivered commission is a KAWS piece. This particular KAWS piece is a Robert Lazzarini interpreted version of the KAWS companion. Robert Lazzarini is well known for his distorted perspective on familiar objects and art forms. Jon-Paul Kaiser enhanced this warped look even further, by making the flesh of the character seem twisted and distorted as well. Accentuating the original pieces lines and curves, Jon-Paul Kaiser did a wonderful job making this custom piece represent his own style of work. Photography, as with all of Jon-Paul Kaiser's pieces, is by Justin Allfree. For anyone interested in a commissioned piece, be sure to contact Jon-Paul Kaiser and get on his list.

The Bots present Monstrosity

On June 13th, 2015, The Bots (Tony and Jenn Bot) will open their very first solo show at Dream in Plastic in Beacon, New York. Titled Monstrosity, the show will feature new work from The Bots. The Bots have been active in group shows in the past, creating cute and whimsical characters. Slowing down on group show participation recently, preparing for their own solo show, the teaser shots sent over by The Bots reveal just a glimpse of what they have been working hard on. Here is what The Bots have to say about their upcoming show:

"The Bots are proud to present their first solo show, Monstrosity. Featuring their trademark polymer clay style, they've created an entirely new collection of cantankerous custom Dunnys. And while these mischievous monsters might be super grumpy, they're bound to bring a smile to your face. The show opens Saturday, June 13th from 6-9pm at Dream in Plastic in Beacon, NY."

For those within driving distance of Dream in Plastic, be sure to head on down for the opening reception and show The Bots some love. There will definitely be a number of custom 3" Dunnys, as well as a number of 8" Custom Dunnys on display. Monstrosity opens on June 13th, with the reception from 6-9pm.
