Tenacious Toys Pop-Up June 24 at the After Hours Suck Salon

What are you doing Friday night after Vin kicks you out of the TOOFLY show at MyPlasticHeart at 10PM? I'll tell you what: you're going to mosey down Forsyth Street to Canal, hang a left, and go to 99 Canal. Ring #3C, and that's where I'll be with a bunch of toys.

I think this is the first time we've done a pop-up shop!

The first AFTER HOURS SUCK SALON is a pop-up shop/event/hangout/sleazy money grab at the Sucklord's studio. Beer and enjoyment is welcome and encouraged! Also, bring cash and buy something or we will burn the place down. At the pop-up shop you will find a selection of Tenacious Toys merchandise at a discount, plus a wide selection of Suckadelic merchandise.

We will be there starting at 9pm and going till... who knows.

NYCC 2015 Satyrs by Seulgie x MyPlasticHeart

With NYCC 2015 right around the corner, many pieces are beginning to pop up. Art toy sculptor Seulgie Lee will be releasing an exclusive colorway of her popular Satyrs at NYCC for the first time. Seulgie is a Brooklyn based artist who first imagined the Satyrs, when she first drew them, in sugary pastel colors with delicate sparkles and glitters around them. To that effect, this release of the NYCC Satyrs are what Seulgie first envisioned. Each of these NYCC Exclusive Satyrs stands at 4.5" tall and is resin cast in pink and blue. The attached ribbon and Swarovski are specific for NYCC. Each one of these Satyrs has been created by Seulgie herself and she has teamed up with MyPlasticHeart to have these for sale at NYCC 2015. Each Satyr will be priced at $95 and is limited to just 30 handmade pieces. Pick one up at MPH at booth #113, during NYCC 2015.

Jet-Black & Featherlight: Guy McKinley at MPH 2/27/09

Guy McKinley is an illustrator from the UK.

His work is pretty darn cool, he definitely has something special going on. Some of his pieces on the website remind me of the Steampunk art movement in their mechanical intricacies.

He's got a show coming up here in NYC at MPH on Friday Feb 27th, 6-9pm.
