Creatures for Kids Art Auction to Benefit CHILDREN AT RISK: July 7 in Dallas

Creatures for Kids is a unique charity art auction which donates all proceeds from sales of artists’ work to a local, child-focused non-profit organization. 

In its fourth year, Creatures for Kids is excited to partner again with the Vinyl Thoughts Art Show, the largest vinyl toy show in Texas, at this year’s Vinyl Thoughts Art Show 7. More than 500 art lovers will gather in Deep Ellum at Quixotic World, 2824 Main Street on July 7, 2017 from 7:00pm-11:00pm. The show will provide a separate area featuring toy and art pieces donated by generous artists specifically to Creatures for Kids, who has chosen CHILDREN AT RISK as the sole beneficiary. CHILDREN AT RISK has been dedicated to comprehensively addressing children’s issues through research, community education, collaboration, and advocacy since 1989. All proceeds will help foster positive impacts for children in health, food insecurity, human trafficking, and education.

“It’s really been a blessing to work with such incredible artists and the great team at Children at Risk. This event is such a blast to work on and so fun to see so many artists join together to help such a great cause.” says Toby Grauberger, Founder of Creatures for Kids.

Along with a slew of great local and national artists, music, and drinks for guests, this free event will include over 20 artists who have donated resin and vinyl toys, prints and custom sculptures to Creature’s for Kids, featuring award winning toy artists The Bots, Mike Fudge, Seriously Silly K and many more incredible artists. The event has been generously sponsored by The UPS Store at Lemmon Ave and The Tollway, Dallas.

TobyArt Baby Javan Rhino Resin Figure Release to Benefit Rhinos Charity

The Javan Rhino is the rarest of the rhino species with a mere 60-63 animals surviving only in Indonesia.

This adorable calf is a hand-made original resin sculpture. She's hand sculpted, cast and painted, standing 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide ear to ear.

30% of proceeds will go directly to the International Rhino Foundation's @rhinosIRF Javan Rhino Conservation Program.

Resin & Glass Kulfas by TobyArt Available First 2 Weeks of August

In late summer, the festival of Lithablot, (July31st - Aug1st) or The Harvest Festival, the Nordic people came together to make food offerings to Ertha for her bounty. Within days of these food offerings, out from the rocky caves come a unique creature called Kulfas (roughly translated to bunny wolfs). These playful, brightly colored; furry creatures, wake from hibernation to feed on the offerings in a seasonal glutonfest. Once believed to be magical creatures, sent to carry the offerings to the gods, these creatures are now known as scavengers with hibernation and feeding cycles, based off the Paganistic holidays. After a brief two week, feed and breed season, once they have eaten their fill they return to their homes in the caves to sleep till Yule.

Zen Pandas by TobyArt

Toby Grauberger, of TobyArt, is releasing some Zen Pandas into the world to help everyone cope with tax season in the US. Each Zen Panda is a 2.5" resin cast, which has been hand painted by TobyArt. There are two different versions that will be released on April 14th, Tranquility (eyes closed) and Enlightenment(eyes open). Each version is limited to just 10 pieces, with all pieces being signed and numbered by TobyArt. Priced at $40 each plus shipping, these Zen Pandas will go great with any collection. REX is a 100 run,resin toy series by TobyArt. Originally conceived for the 2013 Vinyl Thoughts Show 4 they have now been customized as commissions and promos, seen at Comic Con expos and art shows across Texas.

TobyArt won the competition with one of these guys, but to be honest they are all the worth of showing here. Love this series. It is creative and well executed!
