Cenobots Custom Hellraiser Bot Blindbox Series Drops 4/20

 

Cenobots are coming! Dropping 4/20/2013 are a fiendish array of 18 custom hellspawn. Inspired by Clive Barker's Hellraiser, these Cenobite themed custom "Cenobots" are what nightmares are made of.

 

We introduced the series earlier with the poster as seen above. Since then, more final products have come forward from the participating artists, as we see here;

Coming Soon - Hellraiser Cenobites Blindbox Series

Nick Invictus Art and a team of designer vinyl customizers have come together to spread the love, and terror, of a Kidrobot Bot blindbox series inspired by Hellraiser Cenobites!

 

Cleverly titled “Cenobots”, this series will release April 20th as a Blindbox for $75ea.

Review: Undead Android by Mostly Hamless

Recently I received a custom Android from Mostly Harmless for reviewing his Android. Quite tricky since I only customize Androids and I don't have a real passion for them like I have for Bots and Mascots. Besides that.....this is my first real review.


Mostly Harmless is making loads of Undead Androids and his Androids are available on his own store and for the European customers on Adroidfiguren.de. His prices are quite cheap, when you ask me only 30 dollars for a custom Android. Pretty nuts, when you ask me!

The Android that I received is an Android with a broken antenna and a bended antenna. Quite interesting to see, I always love the fact when someone takes a different approach on a platform.

The used colors on this Android are interesting and are giving you a real Zombie feeling, he managed this extremely well. Love the suit that he gaved this little fella. When I see blood on a custom, than you make me happy too haha. The only thing that could be a bit better is his right eye, the white could be a bit more rounded. Other than that this custom rocks! Totally love it.

I was impressed by the quality of his paintwork and the paints on this figure are clean. He sealed the Android with a matte finish. This does this custom justice, although I personally love glossy coats.

I hope to see this guy working with extra elements in this style in the future, like bones and worms. I reckon that it will be nice to add an additional package like a grave box too. He can work for years on this concept, when you ask me.

Overall I have to say that I love this custom and that it is extremely worth your money. I also received a Bot from Mostly Harmless and I will review that one later on, but I can already say that this guy has some excellent sculpting skills.

Be smart and commission Mostly Harmless, he will not dissapoint you!

Mostly Harmless Vinyl Customs - Undead Androids & more!

Mostly Harmless has been featured here before for their amazing vinyl customs, but work this great deserves another shout out, and there is no shortage of new product being made available in the Don't Panic Store.

First you may notice the prevalent undead theme (I'm not complaining), like with these adorable face munching Androids, which are made to order.

Then you'll see there are a number of other platforms and styles represented, from the obligate Dunnys and Munnys to BUDS, even some Unicornos. For the serious collector, there's this undead 10" MadL for a cool $150. Not a bad deal at all, in fact all of the prices are quite reasonable for such face-melting works of art.

Keep watch on Mostly Harmless on Facebook or DeviantArt and snag something nice for your own shelf this holiday season. You deserve it!

Stego-Clone custom Medicom Clonetrooper by Mostly Harmless

Mostly Harmless sends us images of his Stego-Clone custom figure, which looks to me like really solid custom work. Detailed sculpting and tight painting make for great pieces, in my opinion. 

Mostly Harmless writes:

I have attached pictures of a recent custom for a "Star Wars vs Dinosaurs" art gallery. The only requirements for the show were to incorporate both subjects in your piece. I made the Stego-Clone out of a Medicom VCD Clonetrooper, dollar store stegosaurus, and sculpt. He was quite a hit and I feel he would be a unique addition to your blogs, etc. I have also included a link to my Facebook fanpage where I have pics of several other customs.
