"Luke is Street Art" - Custom Luke Chueh Target by Bashprojects

by
Artist Bas Petter(aka Bash), of Bashprojects, recently put up for sale a custom Luke Chueh Target, titled "Luke is Street Art". Overall, the piece represents Bash's work very well. Using both the wall and figure to create a Koi mural is very creative. Most custom Targets treat the wall as a background and the figure itself as a separate character. Bash decided to combined the two separate pieces into one, with his design based around the story he created to go with the custom:
Luke wanted to know what Street Art was all about. So he asked Bash to take him with him on the street to teach him.

"Street Art isn't something that can be taught! You are the art..."

Bash took Luke to a wall and asked him to stand really quiet and close his eyes so that Bash could explain what he meant with "you are the art".

After standing there with his eyes closed for a hour he received a paintbrush with black ink...

"Now you can finish the outline for me."

Luke opened his eyes and finally understood... he IS the art!

Even with the small bit of added sculpt, the design is a little on the simple side for the price point. For reference, an available piece that is much more involved sculpting and paint-wise: Bert the Beaver and his Wooden Labbit Home is selling for 250 Euros plus shipping. Keep in mind that the Bert the Beaver custom involves 2 figures, a 10" labbit and micro Munny, both of which are painted and sculpted pretty well.
Bert the Beaver and his Wooden Labbit Home
"Luke is Street Art" is priced at 300 Euros plus shipping, depending on location. With Bash being based in the Netherlands, shipping to US will run collectors 26 extra Euros, for a total of roughly $436 USD. Factoring in the price of the initial figure, pricing for this piece should have been somewhere around $300 USD plus shipping. That conversion rate will bite any US collector trying to purchase a piece from an overseas artist. Bash does have many other pieces available as well, including several smaller Dunnys.

Hanky Panky the Pirate CapTea by Bash

by
Another one from Bash...

Hanky Panky always wanted to be a Pirate. He dreamed of sailing the open seas, plundering ships, drinking rum... living the good life! But he is just a small boy living in a small town. One day he decided just to go for it! He build a boat, chopped off his hand, made a hook, took out his left eye, made an eye patch, bought some rum, made a pirate flag and set goodbye to the people of his town. Hanky Panky went to the beach to set sail. But he noticed something was wrong...his boat was to small for a sail. Hanky Panky is now a real Pirate Captain! He's floating around in the open sea waiting for a boat to pass him by to plunder.

I heard that this guy is stil available, so hit Bash up!

Rusty the Jackalope Keeper by Bash

by
The base of this custom is a resin figure called Jackalope Keeper by Matt Frost. Bash painted it in his typically style.

Rusty was a little troll that loved the forrest and all the creatures in it. One day he was walking around when he found a little Green Jackalope and his pink bird friend snooping around in the garden of the witch, stealing her famous pink berries. He tried to stop them but he was to late...  The witch already spotted them. Rusty didn't think for one second and jumped between the witch and the Jackalope... he was turned to wood in an instant! Rusty doesn't regret saving the Jackalope's live. He's now part of the forrest he loved... and the Jackalope and his bird stay with him forever. Rusty the Jackalope Keeper is a limited edition of 2 sets. The first set went to De Ce Collins to go in his private collection but the second set is still available!

Bert the Beaver and his Wooden Labbit Home by Bash

by
Awesome Munny Munth entry by Bash...

Bert the Beaver was fed up with the river after a tsunami destroyed his dam. He decided to move to the woods.

After a long walk he came across a huge garden full of pink berries, strange wooden statues and a old house. The wooden statues looked like petrified creatures. He found all sorts of creatures: a giant rabbit with big hands, a little troll with a jackalope on his back... but then he found it...

He found his new home!

Bert carved a hole in the giant wooden labbit and made some furniture for his new crib.

The new house is so amazing, it even has its own supply of berries growing for the backside! But there are two things that he doesn't understand: Why are all these creatures turned into wooden statues and who lives in that old house?

Now Gary is a happy gnome. Everyone respects him and nobody dares to make fun of him. Gary became a Yakuza Gnome!

Fred is a huge fan of the rockband "BA/SH". Because he was so sweet for Ginger she decided to suprise him. She put on a BA/SH t-shirt and told him to change because they were going to a BA/SH concert tonight. Fred was so excited that he ran into the house, took off his shirt, put on his skull belt and ran back out. Ginger was shocked... Fred was covered in tattoo's! With a huge BA/SH tattoo on his back...

Patrick T Rex the Third

by
Bash rocks it with this one...

Patrick's great great great great great great great great great great grandfather was the almighty T-Rex "Patrick T. Rex the First". He was the king of his time and on top of the food chain. But there was one little thing that bothered him...

He had really small hands!

He decided to that matters in to his own hands and changed his way of evolution...

Now - hundreds of years later - meet Patrick T. Rex the Third. He's still a T-Rex dinosaur but he's not on top of the food chain anymore.

While his hands are now bigger than the hands of his ancestors, he shrunk in body size. He's the almighty T-Rex with hands to big for his body!

Patrick is a custom made Raaar! for the upcoming Group Exhibition for Clutter Magazine New York.

The latest Dunny's from Bash

by
Some new Dunny's from Bash projects. This guy is popping them out on the moment.

Andrew almost died in a car crash a couple of months ago. He was walking around in the dark when out of nowhere a car came and ran him over. He flew through the sky and landed in the ditch next to the road. While he was fighting for his life, a mad doctor took him to his lab in the woods and fixed him up. He replaced the broken parts of his body with pieces of wood from the forest. Now Andrew is part bunny, part tree and is one with nature.

Ayako was one of the worst ninja's I've ever met. His name suited him well. Ayako is Japanese for colorchild. He was colorful in everything: his tattoo's, his love for live and his outfits. But a ninja has to blend into his surrounding, be invisible, be one with the night... Ayako was not! With his purple outfit he was a disgrace for all ninja's. As punishment for his misbehavior Ayoka had to "voluntarily" commit Seppuku.
