The KinTiki H.U.S.T.L.E from UME Toys

KinTiki are a blind assorted minifigure from the H.U.S.T.L.E. line sculpted like a traditional Tiki idol with "wooden" mask and skull belt.  They come in various colors of flexible rubber and are produced by Tru:Tek.  They are limited to a total of 15 pieces.

Mahalo Tiki presents NEMO's Resin Tiki

Resin Tiki by NEMO

Based on a sculpt by Mike "NEMO" Mendez, Mahalo Tiki is proud to announce the Resin Tiki.  Available exclusively through Mahalo Tiki, these figures, cast by Kris Dulfer of KiD iNK iNDUSTRiES, will be produced in a limited run of 60 pieces in hand painted, tinted clear resin and glow-in-the-dark variations.  Each will be numbered and include a signature card from NEMO.

NEMO Tiki Godz Collection: Piece #6 SOLD!

So we've had a long relationship established with Mike "NEMO" Mendez where we have been acting as the official and exclusive retailer of his tiki-themed custom toys and carvings. But honestly, that arrangement is kind of difficult when NEMO's pieces sell essentially before leaving his studio! 

I think I might have to make him sign a contract or something... 

just kidding! 

NEMO rocks and we, of course, fully support his artwork, no matter who buys it or where they buy it from! NEMO's been banging on a material called balsafoam, which he finds fun to work with. He's been gearing up for a full-on tiki assault by honing his skills on the balsafoam, while simultaneously collecting nice blocks of wood at his studio. Next step in the NEMO Tiki Assault is goin' big: chainsaws and chisels! Expect to see some real, traditional wood tiki carvings from NEMO in the near future. Turns out the various balsafoam tiki carvings that NEMO's been working on have been studies for more ambitious pieces he plans to carve out of wood. 

This latest carving is Tiki #6: a 6-inch carving from balsafoam. Already in the hands of the new owner! Stay tuned to our NEMO section for more products from Mike Mendez, including a series of 4-inch collectible vinyl tikis based on Mimoco's Vimobot platform!

If you've been following NEMO at all, you know he's been on a tiki kick. Starting with the killer tikis he created for our blind-boxed Custom Marshall Series, NEMO's been putting out consistently amazing tiki customs on vinyl, as well as creating original tiki carvings in the more traditional context.

Above is the latest original carving that NEMO's been working on for our shop: Tiki Carving #6. Carved from a block of balsa foam (below), this piece, upon completion, will be for sale in our NEMO section. Stay tuned for more info and pics of this piece!
