Latest Work from Rsin Art

Commissions and store releases typically keep artists busy, while also throwing in an art show submission every so often. For Rsin Art, in between battling ongoing medical problems, Rsin tries to knock down his long commission list. A few of his latest completed creations include a Custom Skullhead, a few 1/12 3AA Bambaboss customs, and a Custom Dragon Boy. The Skullhead and Dragon Boy are commissioned pieces, while the Bambaboss' were a recent store release (Sold out). Some great work by Rsin. As Rsin works through his commission list, it'll be interesting to see what Rsin will produce next. Be sure to follow Rsin on social media to see what he produces next.

Clown Bust - Rsin x MattA

Available now through Rsin Art's online store is "Clown Bust". Sculpted by Matt*A, this original sculpt is about 9" tall, created using Magic Sculpt. Since Matt*A is pretty much colorblind, it was a good idea to have his buddy Rsin paint this piece up, providing the necessary color a clown would have. Priced at $250 plus shipping, this wonderful piece will go great in any clown themed collection or really, any collection that needs a pop of color. This piece, along with a few other of Rsin's art pieces, is available now through Rsin's online store. Make a purchase or at least spread the word, so these fine artists can continue making affordable art for the masses.

Hindrance of a Whisper - Matt A* x RSIN collaboration

 

Matt A* has teamed up with Rsin to produce a great painted original sculpture being named "Hindrance of a Whisper". Artist Matt A*, Matt Anderson, is a fantastic sculptor, however, he is colorblind. This leads to a lot of created pieces being a bit color muted. Enter Matt's friend and artist, Rsin. Rsin has become great with a color palette, having come a long way from sticker applications. 

Standing a good 12 inches, Matt A* created the original sculpture and Rsin created the base, while also painting the entire piece. Rsin was able to bring Matt's sculpture to life by using one side of the color spectrum. With a lot of yellow and orange in this piece, it would have been great to see a bit contrast with color from the blue spectrum. Overall, Hindrance of a Whisper is a great collab piece and hopefully just the start of some future Matt A* collabs.

Custom Bill the Yeti by RSIN

Rsin posted up this custom Yeti, which was commissioned by an avid collector. The custom is built off a lesser known figure, called Bill the Yeti, by David Lanham. Based on the original figure, it seems that Rsin added some sculpting to give it more of an Rsin Art look, as well as painted it up with some great colors. I like the color palette of this figure. It's a bit different from Rsin's regular orange and black palette. Another great custom for Rsin to start off the new year with.

Whisper themed Mini Munnys by RSIN

It looks like RSIN is going to be releasing six Whisper themed mini munnys on his store later today. RSIN has been on fire recently, with his recent Kidrobot production Dunny released at NYCC, and it doesn't look like he is going to slow anytime soon.

The color and detail on these mini munnys are amazing. Tentatively priced at $115 shipped in the US and $125 outside, plus any type of paypal fees. With no mention of a time for release, other than when he wakes up, you may want to follow RSIN in all the social media outlets, for any chance at picking up one of these customs. Rsin custom Bellicose Bunny "Quasi" bears some resemblance to the platform

Rsin also rocked a Bellicose Bunny for the Bellicosity show at TAG (March 23rd).

Rsin writes:
So the first 3 days of this piece I was ready to give up.  I ran into so many problems making this work.  I walked out of the studio a few times, cause I was ready to toss it against a wall.  But in the end I cleared my thoughts and made it work.  Now I love this piece.

Named this piece Quasi, cause growing up my lil sister had a rabbit named Quasimodo, and also the definition of Quasi is "Having some resemblance"  I took the original design by Nathan Hamill and just put my spin on it, but still resembles the original piece.
