Art Without Borders

 For the good cause...

We wanted to give the online community more of a chance to take part in the fundraiser, and raise more funds and awareness as well so we decided to do an online fundraiser with prizes for donations.
 
Details:

-Raffle tickets $10 each
-No limit to amount of tickets per person
-Open to everyone in the US and International
-Donations will be accepted through paypal
-100% of donations after paypal fees will go to Doctors Without Borders (please pay gift)
-Minimum 50 tickets for raffle to go through
-Ticket sales will go from 2/13/2013-3/31/2013
-Drawing will be 4/3/2013 and will be broadcasted live through the web
-Winners will be contacted in order of the drawing, and will be able to pick their prize

"M=O/C" by Ardabus Rubber

Here we go again. This show will be so impressive!

Here are full pics of my 7" Munny for the Art Without Borders charity show this weekend. Titled "M=O/C: The Divine Proportions of Irrelevant Symmetry are Tiresome Within the Mathematical Measure of Beauty" and was inspired by a Mathematician named George Birkhoff, who had a theory that states beauty can be mathematically calculated and measured with the formula M=O/C, or Aesthetic Measure=Order/Complexity, where each variable has multiple factors and every line, shape and form in the piece can be given a number relating to the formula. This is just the basic outline of what Birkhoff theorized :)

I've also been trying to paint a toy the same way i paint a canvas ever since i started customizing toys 5 years ago, and this is the closest i've gotten so far. My favorite piece i've done in a long while!!!! - Ardabus Rubber

All Stitched Up by Carson Catlin

Another hottie for the Art Without Borders show, this time from Carson Catlin!

All Stitched Up was created for the "Art Without Borders" show being put on by Art Whino. The challenge was to create something based on a medical theme. My choice was to use the 8" dunny platform with the iconic red cross on its head. The cross was extracted along with all the other pieces. A coat of red paint inside with a bright white exterior followed along with a medical theme. To tie it all together I used red thread and reattached the red cross from earlier. One my favorite pieces. It will retail at $600.00 USD (a portion of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Boarders) at Art Whino on February 23rd.

8" Abif The Mason is a custom to Art Without Borders Charity Show in Washington D.C. 100% hand painted using spray paint, acrilycs, markers and finally clear coat varnish. Limited only to one piece. Signed and numbered.
Art Without Borders is an international initiative by Pranay Parikh and Mawuli Dzirasa to help raise awareness and funds for international organizations providing humanitarian aid across the glob. The 20% of of the proceeds go to Doctors Wihtout Borders.

Opening show: February 23rd, 2013 from 8-11PM in Art Whino Gallery.
