SNEAK PEEK: Munny / Labbit Death Dealer - Frank Frazetta x Frank Kozik x Kidrobot

Frank Frazetta's "Death Dealer" is possibly the most iconic and badass painting in the fantasy genre. Dating way back to 1973, it has achieved legendary status in the fantasy nerdling sphere... and now the Master of Labbits has endeavored to bring the iconic imagery to his Labbity world. Here you see a SNEAK PEEK of the Death Dealer Munny riding his Labbit steed. Soon to be revealed at the Kidrobot booth at Toy Fair in New York, this will ACTUALLY be a production piece from Kidrobot!

BREAKING NEWS, DOC: Jason Freeny x Kidrobot x Bigshot Toyworks x Warner Brothers

Just when you though that the art toy scene has taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque, this piece is announced! Jason Freeny has been tapped by Kidrobot to utilize their Warner Brothers license to officially produce an Anatomical Wabbit! Brought to life under the design direction of Bigshot Toyworks, this piece promises to be a glorious hunk of tasty carrot-chompin' plastic! Will be debuted at Toy Fair in NY this weekend. I'll see if I can get you some actual pics. Stay tuned, doc!

New York Toy Fair 2014: Tenacious Toys Photo Coverage

Toy Fair is always exhilarating and exhausting. We get to see old friends, make new connections, check out new products, plan collaborative projects. This year, 2014, was the first time I personally felt I was a part of something important and bigger than myself. Instead of wandering around alone, picking up free plastic giveaway crap from large manufacturers, I was meeting with the people who really make stuff happen in the toy world. And I'm a part of it now, helping make things happen. I'm being very vague here but since you read my blog, you'll know when I start talking about big projects....

NY International Toy Fair Exclusive: 3A's Cornelius Tomorrow King Figure

Tomorrow King Cornelius from 3A Toys.

Well folks here he is! Cornelius TK. He is an exclusive by 3A toys, for the NYC toy fair. Unfortunately for the average Joe buyer, he will be unavailable for sale at Bambaland.com. This con is closed to the general public and will be open to folks who work within the toy industry only.

With some new clothing stitch ups, a new headsculpt, and 3A's new style swords this guy is looking pretty amazing so far. Usually when Ashley wood decides to do something new with his designs, he goes ahead and puts up a pretty similar variant on Bambaland.com. I guess in that case all hope is not lost. I am sure the completistst will have their work cut out for them trying to obtain "Corny".
