Tenacious Toys NYCC Booth 3121: The Collective

This year for New York Comic Con, we got a bigger booth (a triple) and we are splitting it with some of our best friends:

•  Bad Applez Inc (NEMO and OsirisOrion)
•  Kris Dulfer (KiD iNK iNDUSTRiES)
•  Mr. Munk
•  Ian Ziobrowski
•  Matt Anderson
•  Rsin

All of those guys bought into the booth, meaning they all have a permanent piece of the booth. Each of them have their own agenda, releases, customs, resin figures and artwork.

This blog post will be updated over the next week with details about each artist's events, and I'll also be posting more blog posts covering signings at the Tenacious Toys section of the booth, our exclusives and the various collaborations we have arranged. Stay tuned! There is a lot to share.

UPDATES:
Matt Anderson will be displaying and selling customs and resin figures. His Night Terror artist series will be at the booth, featuring the custom work of many talented customizers.

Rsin will have custom work available at the booth, plus a lot of other things happening- his very own Dunny will be released at the Kidrobot booth at some point during the Con, so you'll be able to get your seigned either there, or back at our booth.

Mr. Munk has been going BEAST in his studio the past month or so, painting up the biggest variety of custom he's ever displayed anywhere. All will be for sale.

Kris Dulfer will be displaying & selling a wide variety of customs and resin figures alonside his buddy Brendan McGuiness, another budding customizer. Look for more collabs at his part of the booth with our friend Cash Cannon and others.

Ian Ziobrowski will be selling his customs from the Nugglife universe, as well as prints, alongside his brother Eric.

Bad Applez Inc will be rolling up with a huge variety of prints, resins and custom pieces by NEMO and Osiris individually, plus several Bad Applez Inc collaborative projects.

Tenacious Toys will be selling: Exclusives like the Uncle Argh Noir and JPK Pandaimyo Blue Mini Qees; customs and resin figures by a huge variety of artists and companies; prints; our Resin is King Series 2 blind box figures if there are any left; Jason Freeny's Gummi figures; VISEone's Tube Monsters; new vinyls from Bugs & Plush; and lots more. I'll cover all that type of stuff in subsequent blog posts.

More info will be added soon!

Resin is King Series 2 Teaser: Bad Applez Inc

BadApplezINC Two Faced Rotten Applez Envy Edition 3" mini resin figures

You may recall that Bad Applez rolled out a brand-new mini apple sculpt for our recent Resin is King Series 1... well, the whole point of that series was to have new and original resin sculpts released upon the world, and the artists in the series were encouraged to go ahead and utilize that sculpt again for follow-up colorways on their own....

Bad Applez decided on a Granny Smith-style rotten apple as their follow-up, and really honestly I look at this apple sculpt as their mascot (like Kidrobot's mascot figure and Dudebox's Dude).

This envy edition is painted by BadApplezInc's Mike "NeMO" Mendez, the tops and bottoms are a realistic granny smith green with the core painted in gold metallic with a black wash! These came out stunning!! Each Two Faced Rotten Applez mini figure comes poly bagged with a header card and you can pick yours up here.

Apple from Beyond custom by OsirisOrion

As the curator and organizer for his own Bad Applez custom show, you'd expect OsirisOrion to create a stunning piece... He didn't disappoint! Osiris' signature multi-color metallic paint is in full, brilliant effect on this piece, which he titled "Apple from Beyond".

Osiris writes:  I used magic sculpt, bamboo sticks, and Monster Kolor paint on this custom. He's approx. 4 inches tall and priced at $125.00.

You can buy OsirisOrion's custom apple here.

Bad Applez custom by Ian Ziobrowski

You know how that old saying goes:

"Give a man an apple, and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to customize an apple, and he'll turn it into a monster. Give Ian Ziobrowski an apple, and he'll smoke weed out of it."

Not sure if I got that saying exactly right... but I'm sure the last part is right. This is Ian's entry into the Bad Applez Inc custom show. In typical Ian fashion, the piece is both aesthetically pleasing and also works within the framework of his NUGGLIFE world. You can buy this piece here.

The third of NEMOs 3 Tribesmen: the Mad Guru Bud

NEMO has released the third of his 3 Tribesmen series of Doodle Budz figures- this one is the Mad Guru Bud. The previous two were the Blue Bud and the Voodoo Bud.

You can buy all three customs here.

Also make sure to check out NEMO's Bad Applez custom show that just sent live on the Bad Applez site. Bad Applez is the company NEMO started with OsirisOrion.

I'm a Bad Apple Group Show

Not surprisingly, my friends OsirisOrion and NEMO have pulled together an all-star roster of artists for their first online group custom show. Celebrating the launch of their new company Bad Applez, Inc., this show uses apples (plastic apples) as the platform for the customs.

The show goes live online on February 14th, so you can all attend, no matter where you live! Expect some sick customs. I've been able to see some of them already, and the ones I've seen are all incredibly impressive. Lots of effort and innovation have gone into the pieces.

In the meantime, check out the Bad Applez site to learn more about their projects.

Bad Applez launching with "I'm a Bad Apple" online group show

My friends and talented artists Mike NEMO Mendez and Rob OsirisOrion Ingellis are celebrating the launch of their company Bad Applez Inc. with an online group show they're calling "I'm a Bad Apple." Bad Applez Inc. is currently self-producing resin figures as well as garage kits that harken back to the good old days of DIY toy creation.

Going live on Valentine's Day (February 14, for us idiot guys who might actually forget the date), the Bad Applez show will feature the works of 30 talented artists. You might have surmised that an apple will be the platform for this show- not rotten old real apples, but nice cheap plastic apples that NEMO found. You might have seen some of them posted on Facebook by the artists that received the platforms!

Watch for more info posted here, on the Bad Applez site and lots of other blogs!
