Pioneer Saloon, Monsarrat Ave. Shave Ice and ʻUmi Toys Hawaiʻi present Martin Hsu Pop Up and artist signing at Pioneer Saloon (3046 Monsarrat Ave. Honolulu, HI 96815) from 5-7 PM

Artist Martin Hsu makes his return to Hawaiʻi 8 years since his previous event at Split Obsession back in 2009. Martin will be displaying some of his new works inspired by his current visit to Hawaiʻi as well as signing copies of hew newest book release "Dragon Boy Tales". Martin will also bring a variety of prints, books, original art pieces, and his Dragon Dog plush.

Prior to the event Monsarrat Ave. Shave Ice will be having its Shave Ice Happy Hour from 4-6 PM. Monsarrat Ave. Shave Ice will offer $1 off its entire menu of all natural fruit syrup topped shave ice

During the event Pioneer Saloon will be open to serve its full menu of plate lunches and ramen burgers until 8pm.

Available now for Pre-Order during SDCC 2016, the Dragon Dog Plush is an 8" plush created by Martin Hsu. Inspired by Martin Hsu's childhood dog, Blacky, Dragon Dog is priced at $35 a piece with free shipping for orders with 2 or more Dragon Dogs. Shipping is expected to happen in early August.  We are very happy that the Bigshot Toyworks production run of 300 Miya-san resin figures (designed by Martin Hsu) have arrived in our warehouse! We've shipped out all the preorders so the remainder of the run is now available for purchase here. Miya-San figure are $95 each and 6 inches tall. We ship worldwide!

Net proceeds of this run of Miyazaki tribute figures will be donated to Karakuwa-Maru, a community building organization in the town of Karakuwa, Japan which is rebuilding after the tsunami. We have a limited number of the Miya-San figures left; please spread the word so we can donate as much money to Karakuwa-Maru as possible.

Miya-san: a Hayao Miyazaki tribute figure

The preorder window for the highly-anticipated Hayao Miyazaki tribute figure (dubbed Miya-san by Martin Hsu) opens at 2PM EST on January 21st and closes at midnight January 31st. The Miya-san tribute figure will be 6 inches tall and made of resin. It will be packed in a gift box and will retail for $95 with a run limited to 300 pieces.

Proceeds from the sales of the Miya-san tribute figures will be donated to an as-yet-undetermined charity chosen by Martin Hsu and Klim Kozinevich.

Martin Hsu provided concept and character design for the Miya-san figure. Figure development and production is being provided by Bigshot Toyworks, with a projected ship date of April 2014.
