Tenacious Toys Top 10 Customer Reward Packs for 2017

by

After every new year at Tenacious Toys, we look back at our sales for the previous year and tabulate our top 10 customers for that year. We always put together some kind of reward for them - a free gift to say "thank you" for supporting our little shop over the course of the year.

Loyalty is SUPREMELY important to us, professionally and personally, so we go the extra mile for our top supporters. As a tiny business, having repeat customers who come back to us time and again is literally vital to the success of our shop.

This year (for 2017), we were able to plan ahead a little bit and put together an absolutely RIGHTEOUS package for our Top 10 Customers. Each of our Top 10 will receive a custom scarf, a set of prints, a ton of stickers, a handful of pins and buttons, and assorted other awesome pieces of swag.

At Tenacious Toys we realize that the vibrancy of the lowbrow art / designer toy scene is entirely dependent on the artists and small / indy businesses that consistently put interesting art out onto the market, and we are well aware that our place here in this community is secondary to the success of these artists. We hope that all of you reading this post might discover a new name in the list above, and go check them out and follow them.

We Become Monsters Releases 4-inch The Hell Resin Figures

by

We Become Monsters have created The Heck – a 4 inch sized version of their 7 inch figure, The Hell. They've been working hard in their labs to reduce The Hell to a more pocketable size! This was done mostly to save on feeding costs – goats are expensive! So now a mere half dozen pygmy goats per day will suffice – a huge savings in goat purchasing fees.

We Become Monsters are  always thinking of ways to reduce these types of ongoing costs for our customers!

Choose from Orangejerk (presidential diarrhea color), Bloat (rotten purple) or DewtheDoo (Green) colorways. $50 each.  Each colorway is an edition of 2.

Every The Heck figure also includes an additional head – The Cypher - These have fewer eyes, but can detect wavelengths of goat screams the standard Heck cannot see.

Collectible item. Not for kids. Goats not included.

Hand made in Las Vegas.

Hand cast, hand painted, articulated resin art toy / mixed media.
Articulated neck. Polybagged with Header card.

Available online at We Become Monster's website, Monday, 8/28 at 5pm Eastern time.

The lone remaining 7 inch The Hell is also available right now – and also features a (different) bonus head.

All orders also get stickers and buttons.

SUPER SERIES SUNDAYS: 1:6-scale Tenacious Toozie Scloozie Shagghoulie Drops Sunday Jan 11

by
A traditional ghoul is a desert-dwelling, flesh eating demon. In ancient times, ghouls dwelled in burial grounds and other uninhabited places. The Shagghoulie is a fiendish type of modern ghoul, residing in the Las Vegas area.

While ancient ghouls lured unwary people into the desert wastes or abandoned buildings to slay and devour them, modern Shagghoulies lure only the semi-wary, and tend to attack in highly populated areas as a group, using a swarming action.

Luckily, they no longer kill. These weirdos are content to simply eat the hair, fingernails, dry skin, and any other dead tissue of the living. The creatures also prey on young children's shoelaces, drink rum, steal credit cards, and, on holidays eat the dead. They also have a nearly fatal fashion sense, stunning their prey with their fabulous shaggadelic jumpsuits.

They are known to be mediocre public speakers and occasionally suffer from dandruff. They are great dancers but highly antisocial. Do not approach or attempt to touch them. If they become startled, the fur of their shag suits can stiffen to needle-like spines.

The Tenacious Toozie Scloozie Shagghoulie was created in vibrant blue fur specifically for Tenacious Toozie! The We Become Monsters Shagghoulie figures are about 13 inches tall and feature an articulated 1:6-scale body with custom resin hands, feet and head, and a hand-sewn jumpsuit. This is an articulated resin art toy / mixed media piece, hand cast and hand painted by Chris Moore of We Become Monsters.

All Shagghoulies come with a free micro SLAB. SLABs are WBM's waste reduction program that turns waste resin into art.

The Tenacious Toozie Scloozie Shagghoulie will be available for pre-order on the Super Series Sundays page starting at 7PM EST on Sunday January 11th, and shipping to customers 2 weeks later. This Shagghoulie is limited to just 10 pieces in this colorway (with all other colorways now sold out) and priced at $100 each.

Bog Boy by We Become Monsters

by
We Become Monsters is releasing Bog Boy for First Friday in August. Each Bog Boy stands at about 3.5" tall and is not articulated. Bog Boys come bagged with a header card, are hand cast and the color will be randomly chosen for those who purchase one(or more for that matter). 12 different colors are available and each Bog Boy will cost $30. Bog Boys will be available at the We Become Monsters store in Las Vegas, as well as through the online store at 6pm on August 1st.

About Bog Boy from We Become Monsters:
Eternally melting, swirling, dripping and dying can't keep this enthusiastic little freak down! His ever optimistic gaze and joyfully gloppy tentacles reaching for the sky as a reminder to all that whatever you are going through, at least you are not melting. And if you are, hey, keep your chin up while you still have one! A more cheerful little ghoul then I normally create, this guy helps keep me smiling while trying to climb out of the doldrums.

As always, each purchase will come with a free micro SLAB and an entry to win a large SLAB. SLABs are a waste reduction program by We Become Monsters which turns extra resin into art pieces.

Available Now: Lost Vegans by We Become Monsters

by
Available now, Lost Vegans by We Become Monsters, are priced at $70 each plus shipping. Measuring in at around 12", these 1/6th scale figures are hand cast, painted and sewn. These 1/6th scale figures are articulated with custom resin painted hands, head and feet. Each jumpsuit is hand sewn, while the whole figure is packaged in a polybag with header card. This figure does feature articulation, so it's likely that these can be posed to go along with other 1/6th scale figures. With only six of these figures made, they are going pretty fast on the We Become Monsters online store

To make things more appealing, each order comes with a free Micro SLAB and an entry to win a full size We Become Monsters SLAB. Give the We Become Monsters Facebook page a "Like" for an entry as well. SLABs are produced as a part of the We Become Monsters waste reduction programs, which turns waste resin into art. A nice way to reduce resin waste.

Here is the store of these Lost Vegans:
From an unidentified planet in orbit around the star known as Vega, these space-faring creeps have become trapped in the Las Vegas valley after a crash landing left their ship destroyed. Now their plans of world domination are threatened by morale problems after noticing they are roughly one sixth the size of an average human. Will they starve or be washed away by a flash flood? Is it possible they can continue to escape the notice of the authorities? Will they ever restore communication with their home world? Can their scheme to be purchased and kept off the streets succeed?

There are 10 in this first batch and no more than 50 will be made overall. They come in an assortment of random colors (GID/clear/glitter/????) and are hand cast and articulated (at 'neck'). They stand 3.5 inches tall and are cast in resin. These are definitely not for children and are available now for $28 a piece at We Become Monster's webstore.

All orders get a free micro SLAB, stickers, (while supplies last) and entered for random drawings to get a full size WBM SLAB. SLABs are the waste reduction program that turns waste resin into art. Liking their facebook also adds another chance for a large size SLAB.
