The "Octoozeball" custom

The “Octoozeball” is a one of a kind custom mash-up of the vinyl Tru:Tek Oozeball and the Plaseebo resin Octo-base. The 5.5 inch long figure has a switched color-changing LED unit with replaceable batteries mounted in the base that illuminates the Oozeball from within, creating a molten lava effect. Hand painted with Monster Kolor sprays and signed.

ICYMI: Ofuda Oozeballs from Tru:Tek (Sold Out)

The Disarticulators' Tru:Tek released a special "Ofuda" Oozeball on Friday the 13th. Limited to just 5 pieces, priced at $65 each, these squishy white sofubi Ooze-It/Madballs were designed by Tru:Tek and sculpted by Zectron. Featuring a black rub and hand sprayed ooze, several colors were created, included a metallic rainbow colored Ooze Ball. Each "Ofuda" Oozeball comes packed in a linen drawstring bag with a special paper talisman for summoning the ooze god. Unfortunately, these are already sold out, so be sure to follow Tru:Tek and Man-e-toys to stay up to date with upcoming releases.

The Disarticulators x Rampage Toys’ “Galactic Teleportation: Wave 2” Oozeball sofubi…

"Originally debuting at Superfestival 68 back in April, the second wave of “Galactic Teleportation” Oozeballs from The Disarticulators and Rampage Toys will finally be up for grabs later this week! Produced in a squishy clear matte soft vinyl, the Tru:Tek-designed, Zectron-sculpted “squeaky toy” has been treated to a mesmerising mix of pink and gold sprays with neon green detailing courtesy of Rampage, coming complete with a motion-activated LED unit that's been mounted in the base. Limited to an edition of 9 pieces, the "Galactic Teleportation" Oozeballs: Wave 2 sofubi have touched down in the Man-E-Toys store priced at just $65 each plus shipping..."

The Disarticulators' Tru:Tek is proud to reveal that he'll be guesting at the Toy Shack's ToyCon UK '15 booth this weekend, bringing along a whole slew of different Oozeball sofubi to the table! Manning the booth between 11.30am - 1pm this Saturday, April 25th, here's a quick rundown of what you can expect from the artist-come-toy blogger...

First off, the Rampage Toys one-off customs (top row in image above). The Disarticulators have joined forces with Rampage Toys' Jon Malmstedt for a trifecta of one-off customs! Produced in a non-squishy flesh-toned soft vinyl this time around – sadly sans squeaker – the Tru:Tek-designed, Zectron-sculpted balls have been treated to layers of unique sprays, rubs and brushwork. Rather aptly titled (from left to right) “Red Planet”, “Funfetti Ooze” and “Golden Sludge”, the trio will set you back just £65 a piece. 

Next up is the ToyCon UK exclusive "Predatooze" (bottom right of above image). Produced in a squishy clear matt soft vinyl this time around, the vintage-style “squeaky toy” has been filled to the brim with custom tie-dyed pom poms to resemble the infamous thermal imaging effect from cult 80’s flick, Predator. Limited to an edition of just 8 - including a "Deep Heat" chase - alongside just 2 variants in a "Stealth" colorway (without pom poms), the "Predatooze" Oozeballs come packed with a deluxe double sided header for £35 and £32.50 respectively.

Joining both Predatooze and the Rampage one-offs, Tru:Tek will also be bringing along a super-limited batch of Oozeballs in both GID and flesh-toned non-squishy vinyl (bottom left of above image). Capped at just 2 of each and never to be repeated in this format (i.e. unpainted!), these come packed with custom header cards for just £30 each.

Any leftovers will be making their way to the Man-E-Toys store on Sunday, April 26th at 9pm London time...

Vintage OG Silver Oozeball by The Disarticulators

The Disarticulators are releasing a Vintage OG Silver Sofubi Oozeball and the following is what they have to say about it:

"Whilst it was great to see The Disarticulators’ Oozeball sofubi receive a limited painted run at Wonderfestival Winter 2015 a few weeks back, we know that a few of you guys were a bit disappointed that the release was limited to Japan only- well fear not, as we’re proud to reveal that an alternative “silver” version of the said “Vintage OG” edition will be touching down in the Man-E-Toys store later this week! Here’s the blurb on the figure for the uninitiated few “A follow-up to last years hugely popular keshi-ball release, the Oozeball has been redesigned by The Disarticulators’ Tru:Tek from the ground up for the new medium, featuring a more organic, Ooze-It like face, paper clay-style textures, plus a cheeky little extra… a hidden face inspired by Georges Méliès iconic 1902 silent movie, Le Voyage dans la Lune! Beautifully sculpted by none other than Zectron, the 2-part design has been upscaled from the original 2″ diameter to little over 3″- making it both more in-keeping with the classic Madball scale, and, more interestingly, compatible with a wide variety of mid-sized kaiju with the capped base removed…” Produced in a super-squishy “Ooze-It Green” soft vinyl and fitted with the previously unannounced squeakers on the undercarriage (yep, you read that right!), the limited run of 15 balls have each been treated to simple, vintage-style silver factory sprays courtesy of Rampage Toys. The Disarticulators’ Oozeball Revealed in Full!

It’s been a couple of months since the debut of The Disarticulators‘ Oozeball at Superfestival 63, so it comes with great pleasure today to reveal that the general release will finally be happening this Friday!  

Designed/sculpted by Zectron and produced in a super-bouncy urethane rubber by Tru:Tek, the hugely popular Madball/Ooze-It send up will be touching down in ’open run’ editions of both “Bootleg Neon” and “OG” vintage green for $25 each, a batch of 10 in “Midnight” black again priced at $25, plus a super-limited run of custom hand rubs - available either on their own at $30, or as a set with the Deathball for $80… but that’s not all! 

There will also be a number of unique versions, including one-off, never to be repeated colourways and custom vintage-style hand sprays.

These are heading to the Man-E-Toys store this Friday, November 22nd at 9:00pm London time - be sure to get there early to avoid disappointment!

NOTE: Until the kinks are worked out with the fully playable Oozeball (softer rubber, complete with OOZE!), these will remain in the same harder “display only” rubber used in previous releases.
