Our friends at FCTRY (
makers of the awesome Hillary and Bernie action figures) have offered up their own tailored guide to good food and drink near the wasteland of the Javits Center in NYC. This includes both places that are walking distance from the convention center (in case you can't or won't eat the cafeteria pizza inside, or the dirty water dogs outside), as well as a few more hip and tasty places downtown which are a cab or train ride away.
As an aside, for all you visiting from out of town and attending an event at the Javits Center, PLEASE
CROSS 11TH AVE VERY CAREFULLY, making sure you look both ways and pay attention the ENTIRE walk across the avenue. It's wide and traffic comes from both ways, AND makes turns onto 11th Ave from several different side streets. Stay safe kids.
