Shlap Rolls Out Artist Sticker Sets for Use in iOS 10 iMessage - Shawnimals, Lunartik, Triclops Studio & More

Milk Bar Studios is proud to present Shlap, an iOS 10 App that lets the user share exclusively designed sticker packs with their friends using iMessage.

Shlap has been produced to coincide with the release of iOS 10 and in particular the new iMessage stickers feature. We have teamed up with artists such as Matt Jones aka Lunartik, Shawn ‘Shawnimal’ Smith, Phil Corbett and Miss Wah to produce exclusive sticker packs.

Released worldwide Tuesday September 13^th 2016 - available NOW!

Shlap contains exclusive sticker packs from artists all over the world and presents them in one convenient place. The user can browse Popular, New and Free sticker packs before using an in-app purchase to download their favourites to their device. The sticker packs then appear in the iMessage stickers’ extension ready to use in iMessage conversations with their friends. Shlap has been localised into fourteen languages including French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese and Korean. New artists are constantly signing up meaning new content is added frequently.

Shlap is free to download from the Apple AppStore, with each artist sticker pack costing £0.79 (UK) & $0.99 (US) as an in-app purchase. (There are some free sticker sets you can use, like the one I downloaded and used below to bother Rob Lumino...)

Back Shawn Smith's Recycled Mini Resketch Books on Kickstarter

I LOVE my Resketch recycled/reclaimed paper sketchbook that I got from the last Kickstarter. Now Shawn "Shawnimals" Smith has a new Kickstarter running now for a mini version - I just placed my pledge for a 3-pack. Only $12! Super cheap. I love my original Resketch so much that I put it on the homepage of my personal website here. Definitely recommended, and at that price, you can't go wrong.

Resketch books are spiral-bound collections of assorted reclaimed/recycled/reused papers. Every page is different which is pretty exciting for me, sort of gets my brain working in a different way every time I flip a page to draw or take notes.

Printed Matter show at Giant Robot - GR2 12/17/12 - 1/9/13

The next show at Giant Robot's gallery, GR2, is called Printed Matter. The show is based around the creation of multiples, both in 3D and 2D. In most respects, society owes a lot to the technology behind the original printing press, which allowed the rapid creation of multiples, with regards to Printed Matter. Whether or not this show has anything to do with this thought, I imagine that there will be lots of great art to be seen and purchased. The opening reception for this show is on Friday December 22nd from 6:30-10PM, with the actual show running from December 17th to January 9th, 2013. If you're in the LA area, head on down to GR2 and check it out.

What’s in the series?

How much?
We'll be selling blind boxes for $6.50 each, and sealed cases of 16 for $104. Since sealed cases are over $100, we ship them for free in to US customers.
