JC Rivera Is Getting A Little Horsey...

If you ever wanted to see the ultimate Horselington then feast your eyes on this awesome custom by JC Rivera. This samurai themed custom titled "Ronin" has everything that is needed to be both beautiful and deadly all at the same time. The usage of reds and golds along with the expressive face makes this piece almost feel like it will come to life at any point. If you are interested in picking up a custom from JC Rivera then check out our selection at Tenacious Toys HERE or check out his online store HERE.

Sevren custom Horselington for Pranay

Pranay Parikh sent us these images of another Horselington he had commissioned for himself: this one by his buddy David Ten aka Sevren. Awesome, beautiful work. I like the wooden apparatus he built to hang the piece... it lends some fine-art credibility to the custom toy. We're always searching for credibility and mainstream acceptance, aren't we?

(All you rebellious punks out there know how hard it is to make a living doing your punk rock, "F the establishment!" artwork. Rebelliousness is cool but every once in a while you gotta make sure you make a piece designed to sell. Or else you can't afford to buy paint for the next "F YOU!!" piece you wanna do.)

I bet Matt Anderson digs this Horselington. Matt did a pretty damn fine Horselington custom himself, also for Pranay.

As an aside, lest y'all think I'm advocating on behalf of boring, mainstream art... remember that I'm writing a blog about art toys. And you're reading it. Which means we're both weirdos.

Custom Horselington by Alison Perez

Recently we covered some Zukie World sculptures by Alison Perez. We also covered Matt Anderson's Horselington. Not to be outdone, Alison then sent us pics of her own Horselington custom! Definitely cool enough to get some page time here on this blog! It's too bad the Horselingtons didn't get this much love a couple years ago when they were first released... I think this platform is an interesting one.

Alison wants everyone to know that no panda was hurt during the creation of this custom.
