Chewquila is a custom figure designed and produced in the USA by Scott Kinnebrew of Forces of Dorkness. This piece is based on the 8-inch tall Muttpop Tequila vinyl toy and features a handmade bandolier, resin bowcaster and the furry Wookiee suit treatment.
A limited number of Chewquilas will be made, and they will be offered at a price of $200 each with preorders beginning June 7th, 2015 at 8PM EST. The preorder window will be 2 weeks long, after which no further preorders will be taken. Scott will complete the work approximately 2 weeks after the preorder window closes.
Forces of Dorkness, aka Scott Kinnebrew, recently delivered a commissioned piece called Chewquilla, a custom using the Muttpop Tequila. With custom dyed fur and a sculpted face, Scott also hand sewed Chewquilla's bandolier, which works to store Chewquilla's favorite space goodies. The bowcaster is also handmade by Scott. The Muttpop Tequila figure really goes well with this design and it's nice to see that the head still articulates. With all the attention that Chewquilla received after the owner posted it up on social media, Scott will likely be creating a limited run of Chewquillas which will be offered up through Tenacious Toys. "Heavy Metal Wookie" is a one-off custom based on an original vintage Kenner Chewbacca figure. He stands 4.5 inches tall, includes a base and has a removable guitar which attaches to his back with magnets.
He was inspired by the eye sculpts I did on MegaSeth, which I thought would look really cool detailed into Chewbacca's hair. "Chewy has gone heavy...his new weapon of choice, an electric guitar!"
