New Ardabus Rubber Art Prints And Webshop

Echo's Brother

Ardabus Rubber has been hard at work this year on secret projects- one of which, we can see, was adding a giant in-house fine art printer to his studio arsenal. A wide and exciting art print line joins Ardabus' (newly re-designed) webshop lineup here! I'm super stoked on these additions, which make Ardabus artworks available from $12+

Triple Positive

This is the first time Ardabus' earlier, and difficult to find paintings, like "Triumphant Return of the Anthropomorphic Spectre" have been available as large format prints;

New 8" Dunny from DeeTen

David "DeeTen" has been busy working down his commissions list, and shares this newest piece for a private collector. This piece, "Anti Air Siren", circa 1886, a custom 8'' dunny with wings! DeeTen shares with us:

"I was influenced by steampunk aesthetics and the 1927 movie Metropolis when I designed this figure. This piece along with most of my others are part of a story where they are artifacts from another dimension brought back to us in 1886."

You can follow @deeten on Instagram and Twitter, or on his online shop here.

Rainy Day Antagonist Figure by Evilos Now Up on Kickstarter

Our friend Evilos has launched a Kickstarter to fund the production of his first original sculpt collectible! I've backed it, of course. Evilos is an undeniable talent and has been extremely supportive of Tenacious Toys. He's part of the crew. Let's get him to his goal, he's already well on his way!

From his KS:

Hello, My Name is Christopher Avalos.

I've been a model maker and custom artist for well over 20 Years. In that time I've painted many different things. This year ive decided to make my own figure, I've had this idea for some time and through an amazing set of circumstances I'm ready to create my very first figure.

I've already gone and had the 3D sculpt professionally created, so we are half way there. But I still need your help. With your pledges I can hire a studio in the United States to produce the mold and the figures. So please check out all the rewards I have and their details here.

He is a character that I came up with a very long time ago when rainy weather would cause all sorts of delays. I don't have a traditional indoor studio like many other artists, my studio is outside and I rely on the great southern California weather to get my work done. Some days I cannot paint because of bad weather and that's what my Rainy Day character personifies. With your help and pledges, I can create a Do It Yourself White Resin figure that you can customize however you wish. He will come in five pieces for easy painting and is 4 inches tall. Just paint, put him back together and you will have a figure all your own.

Season of Spring exhibition by Daniel Rolnik at the Flower Pepper Gallery

http://hometown-pasadena.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/DSC_0158.jpg
The Season of Spring - Flower Pepper Gallery

Daniel Rolnik, The Worlds Most Adorable Art Critic, was on Toy Break Episode 299, showing off some items he is showing at a current exhibit at the Flower Pepper Gallery in Old Pasedena. Daniel Rolnik is an art lover who blogs for many different sites, just so he can reach the appropriate crowd for every type of art genre. The Seasons of Sprint exhibit, curated by Daniel, centers around a neat idea in which Daniel sends all participating artists, an artist pack. Each cardboard envelope contained 2 pieces of quality paper and instructions for the artist to provide original pieces. One piece would be shown in a clear poly bag and header card, while the second piece(hidden behind the first) would be a surprise for the person who purchases the piece. A really great idea and pretty open ended. Some artists decided to forgo the provided paper and instead, create some really cool sculptures. All the pieces in the exhibit range in price from $20 to $200, which is pretty affordable for Original pieces of art.
Andrew Hadle, an illustrator and sculptor, provided 2 amazing sculptures, titled Dog and Duck.

Duck by Andrew Hadle
An art collective, Salao Coboi, also provided sculptures for the exhibit, both of which can be seen in Toy Break 299. These pieces are pretty amazing and thought provoking to say the least. Salao Coboi started out as mutant art collective, but has since become a solo endeavor for Apolinário Pereira, co-founder of Salao Coboi.

For those able to, be sure to check out these pieces, along with many others at the Flower Pepper Gallery in Pasadena. The exhibit runs now until Friday April 4th.

New Hell Lotus Teddy From Dust x MintyFresh

David "Dust" Stegmann reveals to us 1 of 2 Teddy pieces bound for release through European retailer MintyFresh. This custom Hell Lotus "Master Teddy San" features epoxy sculpted elements, spray and hand painted with acrylics.

Master Teddy San's minute fabric detailing is made more impressive by the minuscule figures seated and draped on Teddy himself. The balance in scale makes it hard to determine whether Master Teddy San is himself a creature, or a monument to even tinier beings. To inquire this piece, or submit questions, contact the artist directly by email at info@davidstegmann.de
