ZICA Toys Reveals Sectaurs Figures for Upcoming Kickstarter

I was 7 or 8 years old when the original Sectaurs action figure line hit toy stores back in the mid-80s. I freaking LOVE these toys, I still have a couple of original figures hidden away in one of the "Benny toy boxes" somewhere. I remember playing with the figure that had a big spider companion. They were just rad, with accessories and articulation and a fun story. Lots of playability, on par with the GI Joe and M.A.S.K. figures I had.

So I basically stuttered and twitched when I saw the above image - Sectaurs are COMING BACK, via a Kickstarter that will be run by ZICA Toys!!! Not sure when it's launching but check the ZICA FB page and Like it to get the info. My child brain resurfaces! This means: 1. I'm old and 2. I get to relive some excitement from my childhood.

Devils Headquarters releases "The Rising" Apalala

FINALLY...the first painted run of Apalala sees the light of day. Using both the sapphire clear blue and GID/blue marbled vinyl as a base, metallic blue, red, green, gold, copper, black, white, red and tan paints have been applied to make some super awesome looking monsters. I'm not going to lie to any of you. I knew beforehand that Matt the Angry Artist would HATE anything Yummy World I sent to him to review. All the Yummy World products are adorable and well-thought-out and EXTREMELY popular, but the Angry Artist don't give a crap about any of that. He likes spikes and boobies and squid monsters and shit like that. Which is cool... but I needed a laugh and Matt delivered.

Doesn't he look absolutely ridiculous in that strawberry hat? I mean, he didn't even know what fruit it was!!! ROFL! Watch this epic video below:

Jason Freeny Customizes KAWS Companion Figure

Popular custom toy artist, illustrator and all-around awesome dude Jason Freeny released images this week of his next beautiful custom toy project: a KAWS Companion! While this piece has been manufactured in a factory-produced anatomical variant before, Jason wanted to present his own interpretation of a "dissected" Companion as he has done for countless other pop culture characters.

Jason's WIP custom KAWS figure was even covered on a popular site called "Highsnobiety" and KAWS himself dropped in on Jason's IG comments section to weigh in. All in all, a spectacular and very public start to a one-off WIP toy project. Not sure if I've ever seen a custom toy sculpture get this much coverage before it was even finished! Great work, Jason, this one is looking awesome so far!
