Glyos Council Of Travelers Dropping on 12/12/12

The Council of Travelers
It's hard to believe that the Glyos line of compatible action figures has been around for over 5 years, and that there are now dozens of other companies and artists producing this wonderful stuff in PVC, vinyl and resin. It's been a long strange trip already, but the folks at Onell Design never cease to keep it fresh and interesting, with new colorways and figures appearing near monthly and selling like gangbusters.

Syclodoc
The next drop night is scheduled for 12/12/12, at 9:30 EST. That was pushed back two weeks from the original date of 11/30, because of shipping problems from the factory in China. This is a big one though, because alongside new colors for almost every figure, fans will see the debut of the Syclodoc, a new head sculpt for their vinyl Armodoc figure (seen above). It will also come with a spare original Armodoc head, for purists or those who would display both.

Phase Defender
Another great aspect to this drop is the number of contained builds which will be available. These, like the Phase Defender here, are made up using every piece from a number of different figures and/or accessory packs, custom assembled by the Onell team and generally featuring unique paint applications for those parts.

To make a long story short, Onell Design does it right with the Glyos toys. If for some reason you've been living under a stone, or if it's been a couple years since you looked closely at them, this drop is just the right time to jump on board. And if you've already got the bug like me, I know I'll see you there on 12/12/12!

OsirisOrion Molten Lava & Sewer Sludge 3" Resin Dunnys - Preorder Now Open!

OsirisOrion is now taking preorders on these handcast and handpainted resin Dunnys. They are available singly in either of these colorways for $60 each or you can save by ordering a pair for $100.

Each figure will be signed and numbered, but the great news doesn't stop there. The sculpt has not yet been named, so everyone who orders one will get a chance to name it when they order, and one winner will be picked to receive a free 8" Molten Lava or Sewer Sludge Dunny, their choice!

Preorder here before December 7th, 11PM EST.

Worth posting, even as a WIP. Task's customs are always epic.

It looks like RSIN is going to be releasing six Whisper themed mini munnys on his store later today. RSIN has been on fire recently, with his recent Kidrobot production Dunny released at NYCC, and it doesn't look like he is going to slow anytime soon.

The color and detail on these mini munnys are amazing. Tentatively priced at $115 shipped in the US and $125 outside, plus any type of paypal fees. With no mention of a time for release, other than when he wakes up, you may want to follow RSIN in all the social media outlets, for any chance at picking up one of these customs. While you're at it, check out the other customs RSIN has up on his store. Be sure to leave a note that I sent you and get extra air in the shipping box. You are welcome!

Two Figures of the Sucklord Available on The Suckstore!

Keeping the collab theme going, following the Super Suck-up at DCON, the Sucklord released two figures of himself on The Super Suckstore early today! The first figure is a sofubi figure that has been hand painted by the Sucklord himself. The figure is a finger puppet that is a part of a set of five being produced by Fig Lab. I'm actually surprised that the Sucklord didn't make a resin copy of this figure to sell, instead of the Sofubi Japanese vinyl. It's a cool little figure that is priced at $60 plus shipping, limited to 20 pieces.

SUCKLORD SUPER DEFORMED/ JADE EMPEROR
Price: $60
Quantity Made: 20
Description: The first official Suckadelic "SOFUBI" figure! Sculpted by  Paul Kaiju and produced in Japan by Fig-Lab for the FINGER-FIVE, an exclusive set of finger Puppets by the "Top" Artists in the Game. Hand painted by the Actual Sucklord. 2.5" tall. Comes loose, 20 piece edition.

The Wolf Rider Print by Huck Gee

Master customizer and artist Huck Gee released his latest print, titled "The Wolf Rider". An awesome large print, with great lighter coloer and imagery. With the rider looking back towards the viewer, the piece evokes a type of "are you ready?" feel, speaking for myself of course. This piece will look awesome with a small border dark frame.

"Beneath the masks lie expert warriors, handpicked and rigorously tested by General Shirokuri himself. The wolves they ride are massive, fearsome, wintery beasts with minds as sharp as their claws and teeth. The bond is a lifelong commitment, paired when the wolf is still a suckling pup. They spend the rest of their days together. Eating, training, sleeping, the two become one. There is no distinction between beast and rider once joined in battle, communicating through a complex system of touches, motions and whispers, allowing them to be as effective in the roar of a battlefield as when prowling an enemy on padded paws in a hushed forest." - Chapters of the North, Volume III - Mahotsukai Hoohige

Each is printed on fine art watercolor paper (225gs), 20″x9″ (22″x11″), signed, numbered and gold embossed. Limited edition run of 100 prints,

The Limited edition print is priced at $65 plus shipping, and for you lucky Californians, add tax as well. Something to consider, if you are going to pull the trigger on this print, is to save on shipping by purchasing more prints and/or swag. One of Huck Gee's older prints is actually still up, Sgt. Hicks "R&R" Print, also priced at $65, as well as some $30 Chardmonster prints.

Only time will tell if a version of the Wolf Rider will be Huck's next limited custom. I can't wait to find out.

The Incredible Monk by Sucklord for Art for Tibet Auction

The one and only Sucklord recently created a resin figure on card, titled "The Incredible Monk". Complete with a cloth draped Lou Ferrigno Incredible Hulk on the card. The orange Hulk-type figure features the notable Sucklord helmet in gold and maroon colored pants, similar to the color scheme that Tibetan monks wear. The figure was created for the annual charity auction Art for Tibet. The Auction features over 50 different artists who have all donated to this art auction which benefits the group Students for a Free Tibet. Sucklord donated 5 "Incredible Monk" figures, that are up for auction now.

The Incredible Monk by Sucklord - Front

Some important info about the auction:

Art for Tibet is a hybrid auction that combines an in-gallery silent auction with an online auction. You don't need to be at the Gallery to support Tibet and bring home a fantastic work of art!
HOW IT WORKS
All artwork is now available for online bidding, which will close promptly at 3pm EST on Saturday December 1st. The highest online bids will be entered onto bid sheets at the gallery and will serve as the opening bid amount. Bidding at the gallery will start at 6pm on the day of the event and end promptly at 9pm. If the reserve price is met on an auction lot, it will be sold to the highest bidder. If the reserve is not met, the piece will be placed back online for one additional week of bidding.
If you are bidding online and cannot be in New York to guarantee you are able to place your highest possible bid at the last moment, we do offer a free concierge bidding service so that you don't lose out on your favorite piece. Download the concierge Bid Form.

BIDDER REGISTRATION
You must register for a Bider ID number in order to place a bid. There are two ways to do this. You can register online, which will allow you to place online bids AND in-person bids, or you can register in person at the event on December 1st, which will allow you to bid in-person only. In both cases, registration is free.

Keep in mind that the online bidding portion of the Art Auction is set to end promptly at 3pm EST on December 1st. The highest bid for each piece is going to be used as the opening bid for the live Silent Auction being held at the Tibet House in New York City, from 6-9PM. So, if you are not going to be in the New York area on December 1st, you need to follow important instructions and download the concierge Bid Form

To start bidding on one of these awesome pieces, head on over to the Art for Tibet auction site here. You will find Sucklords pieces under lots #462-466. At the time of this post, the current bids ranged from $135 to $250. While browsing around, you may also want to bid on other cool art pieces from artists all around the world.

Angry Woebots Custom Dunnys and MADL

It looks like Aaron Martin, Angry Woebots, has had some late nights laying some paint and creating a bunch of very cool one-offs. Aaron has already released a couple of 3 inch dunnys and some mini Teddy Troops, which already sold out. His next round of custom one-offs include four "Shadow Friend" 3 inch dunnys. This is definitely creating more excitement with collectors, especially with Aaron's much anticipated Kidrobot 8" production Dunny releasing December 6th, also titled "Shadow Friend".

The Mono-tone Dunnys are going to sell for $150 each plus shipping, here. All of which are awesome and would make a great addition to any collection.

Clockwise from upper left: "Spacer", "Silence", "Sneaks", "Alert"

Aaron is also putting up a sick custom MADL, which is going to sell for $300, here. My guess is that it's a 5" MADL. Custom MADLs don't come up very often and Angry Woebots custom MADLs are even more rare.

All the pieces are expected to be released at 12pm PST. For those of you who are keen on picking up one of Aaron's customs, you better get your favorite loaded up and F5 button ready. Since Aaron doesn't create custom Dunnys often, I'm sure the few that he is releasing is already being eyed by dozens of collectors worldwide. These customs are going to go quick, making a few collectors very happy and many left with nothing but hoping for another release. We will have to wait and see if Aaron is going to do another set of customs.

If you're in the San Francisco or LA area next week, be sure to hit up the Kidrobot signing and Dunny release. Aaron is going to be signing at both stores: LA on December 5th, from 6-8 PM for a pre-release and San Francisco on December 6th, from 6-8PM also. Check out the info here.

outsmART Originals Latest Limited Edition T-Shirt by Sergio Mancini

The Black T-Shirt by Sergio Mancini
Black will take no other hue.

OUTSMART Originals latest limited edition T-Shirt release by Sergio Mancini, titled "The Black T-Shirt", is available now through December 3rd, or when 200 shirts are sold(whichever comes first). This is the fourth limited edition T-Shirt release by outsmART Originals and based on the list of artists working with outsmART Originals, this won't be the last. Previous T-Shirts were designed by Jon-Paul Kaiser, Rsin, and Pocket Wookie. If you missed out on a previous design, you're out of luck because after each pre-order, the design will never be produced again. So don't miss out and pick up one or two of these awesome shirts for yourself or as a gift for the holidays.

From the outsmART Originals site:

The Black T-shirt by Sergio Mancini is available for pre-order from November 27th through December 3rdexclusively at www.outsmartoriginals.com. Limited to only 200 shirts, this original design will be screen printed on 100% cotton American Apparel Fine Jersey t-shirts and is available in a variety of sizes for both women and men (up to 3XL). Only $25.00 and shipping mid-December, the shirts will be just in time for the holidays.

Bringing collectors exceptional designs by exceptional artists – wearable art for the art-official intelligent – that’s outsmART originals

Having purchased several different brands of limited edition T-shirts myself, the $25 price tag is pretty good. The current and previous designs have been outstanding representations of each individual artist. I personally don't like the quality of American Apparel shirts, however, the great designs make each outsmART Originals T-shirt worth getting. Keep in mind that each design is released for a limited amount of time and/or quantity, so pick up one while you can or regret that decision later.

Motorbot's Scrap Heap - The best junk at even better prices!

The unstoppable Motor Bot is so busy turning up new sculpts and resin casts, it's no wonder he's sitting on a big old pile of test shots and miscasts, with everything from air bubbles to bad seems stopping them from cutting it as regular releases. This is excellent news for completest collectors and customizers though, because he is offering these up in the Deadbear shop for just $5 each while supplies last.

This enthusiastic fan bought 3 without blinking - Motor Bot is always putting out new sculpts in very limited numbers and rarely releases blank editions, so customizers don't have much opportunity to amass figures for their own projects. Hopefully all of you artists out there will take advantage of this deal and release a slew of great new customs!

Want to win a free case of Apocalypse Dunnys? Who doesn't like a good photo contest? Toykick is giving away a sealed Apocalypse Dunny case to one lucky winner of their Photo contest. One very important catch is that you need to have one of their KickCase products, found here. I personally don't own a case, but I do know many artists love and support the products. If you don't already own a KickCase, you still have time to get your order in and take some photos.

We will judge photos on all around awesomeness. Fan favorites will be noted :)

When will the Winner be announced?

Winner will be announced on 12/26/12 via a Google+ Hangout.  Link to the Hangout will be posted here the day of the announcement. Shoakuma Dunny Series by Artmymind

The dynamic duo who make up Artmymind, Guillaume and Julia Lachambre, have just released their newsletter which contains amazing news for any collector wanting to own one of their fantastic custom pieces, or even expand his/her collection. The "Shoakuma Dunny series" is going to be an open edition of two separate colors. With amazing detail and colors, this Dunny series release is just amazing.

The following info is taken from Artmymind's Newsletter, which you should subscribe to, if you don't already:

Shoakuma Dunny series

They are finally here! Artmymind's new Dunny series is ready to be unleashed over the world and trust us when we say that these little demons shouldn't be taken too lightly. Do not be fooled by their cuteness, because they bite pretty bad.

"Born from the twisted energy of the underworld, the Shoakuma is easily the most underestimated creature that can be met among the thousand fangs minions. Small in size, this little demon overcompensate his lack of strength by a voracious appetite and the habit to hang around by hundred of thousand of his siblings."

When we created Artmymind, we promise ourselves that we would always do our best to make our art available to the most and not only focus on very limited or exclusive releases. The Shoakuma series is our effort to make this happen and we hope that you will all enjoy what we came up with.

Available in two open run editions and a third mystery one limited to only 10 pieces that will be revealed before the release via our social sites. They will all be available on November 27Th at 11pm GMT for $79 and $89 +s/h in our online Store and we will keep the run open for exactly a week after the release. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks before shipping for each figure to be numbered and the artist's cards produced.

A note to everyone waiting for a piece from us. Customs are particularly busy at this time of the year so if you still didn't receive your parcel, please be patient as it is being processed at the moment. Thank you for your patience and support that allow us to continue to create more of these bad boys.

Thanks,

Julia & Guillaume

With most Artmymind releases, the limited number editions tend to sellout within seconds of going live. This open edition release will give collectors from 11PM GMT November 27th to 11PM GMT December 4th to snag one or more of these pieces. At $79 plus shipping, I think this is a good deal for one of Artmyminds exquisite customs. As with previous open editions, I'm sure Guillaume and Julia will have a lot of work ahead of them to fill all the orders that is sure to go their way. Also, a 3rd colorway has yet to be revealed, so make sure to follow Artmymind in all social media formats to get a glimpse of it.

World of the Mechawhales and U.R.I.-Nal PVC by Deep Fried Figures

Hauke Scheer has been teasing us all with previews for his Mechawhales and U.R.I.-Nal figures for some months now, but has recently confirmed that the Mechawhales will be available very soon from distributor DKE Toys, and you can contact them to find out more.

The Mechawhales have a long back story and the toy itself is a chunky mixture of 3D printing and organic sculpting, making this truly the best of both worlds. Because it's in PVC, all of the intended detail is captured, and you know it will also be that wonderful combination of durable and relatively inexpensive compared to resin or vinyl.

The U.R.I.-Nal (previously available in resin and already test shot in PVC) will also be on sale in a variety of colors if the Mechawhales do well.

You can find out much more about these monstrous, mechanical, maritime-mammals at The World of the Mechawhales.

Tenacious Toys Exclusive White OMFG Series 2 sets now up for preorder

We now have our Exclusive White OMFG Series 2 figures up for preorder here. We expect our shipment to arrive this month or next month, if there are no delays. The set of 5 figures (bagged with header card artwork by Carlos Soto) is $10, and we have 200 sets made in our white colorway.

What is OMFG?
Good question! OMFG stands for "Outlandish Mini Figure Guys" and they harken back to the MUSCLE figures we played with as kids growing up in the 80s. OMFG is and always had been a community-driven project. Helmed by George and Ayleen of October Toys, the figures in both  OMFG series were designed by various artists from all over the globe. October Toys held an open call submission process on their forum, yielding hundreds of character submissions that were compiled and voted upon by the toy collecting community. In each series, 5 winners were chosen and put into production.

Of course, production costs money, so October Toys turned to Kickstarter to fund these series of toys. A few select retailers- smart enough to know a good thing when we see it- jumped on board with each series to request and pay for their own exclusive colorways of OMFG figures. For Series 2, we opted for White, as we have a lot of artist customers who'd probably be interested in picking up a few sets to paint. If sales from our Series 2 White figures go well, we will reinvest in October Toys by purchasing a White Exclusive run of Series 1. For now, you can go to our shop and order Series 1 sets in Flesh or GID.

The figures in OMFG Series 2 are as follows:

1. Puke Knight designed and sculpted by Jared DeCosta (aka redjarojam) from Massachusetts
2. Grimm Gourd concept by ScruffyNerfHrdr from Kansas, designed by Charles Marsh (aka Monsterforge) from South Carolina, and sculpted by Mike Fleming Jr (aka M-Flem-Jr) from Colorado
3. Shirtle designed by Kenjitron from Hawaii and sculpted by George Gaspar from Los Angeles
4. Cuddlehard designed and sculpted by turboPISTOLA from Tennessee
5. Cry-Borg designed by Andrew Scribner (aka RuFuS) from Rhode Island

RWBT by Carson Catlin

Another amazing Tequila, you just have to love this platform. Really dig the cutting style in this one, it just fits perfectly. It is great to see that Carson Catlin is expanding his work on several platforms.

I bring you my custom tequila. He was commissioned from a private collector with the explicit direction of "do what ever you want" So thats what I did. This was a very challenging piece because of the detail. I have never done anything like it before so I dove right in. Colored in my favorite color trio, Red, White, and Black. I did my best to accentuate the already iconic lines of the sculpt. Never crossing over lines of definition. I'm super happy on how it turned out and I hope to have another tequila come through my studio in the near future.

Fiend Club Subscription by Josh "FPlus" Pearce

Josh Pearce, FPlus, recently announced in his newsletter that collectors can basically pre-order the next 6 releases of his Fiend series. It's called the "Fiend Club" subscription!

Excerpt from FPlus' blog/newsletter:

What started out as a sidekick to my corrupter character, has now become a sought after little monster. With all the amazing response to these guys, I’ve got plans to do a few more, and I’ve had several folks ask me if I’d set up a subscription for them. I instantly liked the idea, because I hate the idea of folks missing out on a fiend in the set due to limited quantities (all previous editions sold out pretty dang quick!)
So, I decided to make a subscription for folks to reserve the next six fiend releases, which are as follows:
Phantasmal (GID) Fiend
Gojira Fiend
Winter Fiend
Candelabran Fiend
Fire Fiend
Ice Fiend

Each one is variant sculpt, so they’re more than just colorways, each one is a different cast from a different mold.
But, what would a club be without some exclusive club member perks right? You’ll also get a custom, one of a kind fiend, you pick the fiend body type and colors, and I’ll send you a one of a kind colorway of your very own, with a handpainted watercolor sketch of your custom fiend in all his glory as well!

Having personally supported the original Kickstarter that helped fund the creation of FPlus' Corrupter and Fiend set, I think the little fiend is a really cool figure. With his previous releases, Autumn and Gloom, selling out quick, the Fiend Club is a perfect solution to guarantee having every variation of the little guy.

If you can't swing the $350 price tag for the Fiend Club Subscription, which includes shipping, Josh has also made it a little easier on people by allowing them to pay per Fiend:

If you’d like to make arrangements for a pay-per fiend subscription, you can do that as well, by sending me an email to:
Josh (at) fplusnever.com to make arrangements.

The Phantasmal (GID) and Gorija fiends are individually priced at $45 plus shipping, if you're not the subscription type. The Fiend Club subscription and the individual Phantasmal (GID) Fiend and Gorija Fiend are all available now, but going quick here. Whether you pick up the subscription or just a single fiend, I'm sure that you will not be disappointed.

The Windy City Crawler by DeeTen

The second custom that we are posting from DeeTen, this guy is doing some amazing stuff. Look at this great Tequila custom.

The Windy City Crawler Model Toy 1:10000, circa 1886
During the Expedition of 1886 into the parallel world our travelers were taken to Calico City, to the locals it was known as the Windy City. When they first saw this great city, several of our explorers humorously fainted at the sight of its massive monolith like machine attached it. It was not active when our people visited the city but its size could not be understated. The Windy City Crawler, a machine more massive than the city it drags across the desert with chains from its arms. Calico City was built in the center of a naturally high wind, desert environment with little to no resources. After experiencing its first sandstorm resulting in high damage, the city was relocated, yet the sandstorm later followed. Since the storms were unpredictable the city adapted by constructing onto low friction foundation platforms, which were then linked together. Now that the city was able to slide across desert terrain, the Windy City Crawler was constructed to move the city out of the windstorms path. The natives explained how the crawler was commissioned from the great floating city of New Alexandria half a century earlier. This particular toy model was a gift from the city’s leaders and is in a scale of 1:10000. Calico City is listed as one of the 13 Great Cities.
