FP-420 Grow-op custom Deathshead by Ian Ziobrowski

by
In 2028, WWIII devastated planet Earth.  Populations were decimated, factories stopped production, food shortages were rampant, and very few survived the slaughter.  Humankind was set back thousands of years.

The limited few that were left moved North or South, anywhere to escape the war madness surrounding them.  Generations of families did what they could to survive.  Many created small communities from the rubble of war - old factories, the remains of corporate technology, 21st century waste, etc.

Today is 2420, and one small mystical hamlet, 'Nugglife', sits high above all others in the territory formerly known as the Smokey Mountains.  This plush and close-knit community is one of the last green growing regions on Earth.  Its leader, Nuggs, is the most infamous grower in the world and he is about to unleash his most recent creation the "FP-420".

The FP-420 was created in an old gun factory responsible for the development of the miserable WWII failure, the FP-45 Liberator.  With the 2 story factory fully converted based on Nugg’s mastermind schematics, this facility can yield up to 10 bushels every 65 days.  Climate controlled via a two part diversion system, Nugg’s can keep the perfect temperature and humidity levels for his philanthropic operations.
Figure Details:
o    *  10 inch custom Death'sHead figure
o    *  Hand created, designed, crafted and painted hand by NUGGLIFE (Ian Ziobrowski)
o    *  Powered by a 9 volt battery, this should meet everyone's growing needs post-apocalyptic destruction

So I'm friends with Ian, friendly enough to hang out with him outside of toys and to have each other in our phone contacts... but I gotta tell ya, it's hard to get him on the phone. I just played phone tag with him for over a week. He's so fucking busy it's not even funny. This is a perfect example of why he's so busy. What a goddamned epic piece. Just incredible. You can see AND BUY a lot more sweet pieces by Ian at our NYCC booth #208... Ian will be rolling up with the most customs he's every assembled for one event... so bring your fat wallet.

Sluggish Shadow Thing Custom Android by Shadoe Delgado

by
The Sluggish Shadow Thing custom Android figure was recently completed by Shadoe Delgado. Starting with sculpting the teeth, the Sluggish Shadow eventually fought back and even caused some stitches to be had.  After some evolution, time and injuries, Shadoe Delgado eventually completed this first version of his Android Slug. Shadoe Delgado does want to create more of these figures, while improving and evolving the figure further. For those interested, Shadoe Delgado would love some commissions to create more of these figures, so head on over to Shadoe's website for contact info.

In addition to the amazing Android Custom, Shadoe Delgado is also offering free shipping to the US on the life size masks. Even though these masks are meant to be a hanging wall piece, it's highly likely that these can be modified a bit to be worn as masks. For those interested, just be sure to enter FREESHIPM during checkout through the online store, to receive free shipping on the masks.

Go forth and check out the great work by Shadoe Delgado!

Hoodsbee: The Hoodie That Becomes A Plush Toy - Back the Kickstarter!

by
Hoodsbee is an innovative hoodie that transforms into a plush friend... or a plush friend that transforms into a hoodie. With Hoodsbee, there are so many options. This unique patented technology allows your little one to carry their travel plush buddy, put it on when it is cold, fold it back up into a plush and use it as a head pillow for when they are tired. It's as easy as 1,2,3! Fold, roll and snap! Now, not only do you have a pillow and a travel companion, but you also have a nicely wrapped up hoodie that is easy to store or travel with.

The best part about this new product is that it is being developed and produced by a friend of mine from college- a great guy with a lot of excellent ideas. Hoodsbee is being funded via a Kickstarter, and there's only 8 more days to go! I backed for 2 Hoodsbees for my niece and nephew. I'm stoked to see this one through! So get on it, people! Many more pics, info and videos on the Kickstarter page

Monster Kolor Custom Show & Pinstriping Demo at PIQ: Photo Roundup

by
Our Saturday afternoon custom show opening at PIQ in Grand Central Terminal was really fun and brought out a big crowd of both locals and some out-of-towners! Matt Walker and MCA drove down from Boston to demo the Monster Kolor products by way of live pinstriping and customizing.

All pieces in this show were painted in Monster Kolor paint- you can pick up your own MK paint products here in their shop. Roderick from Toymasters Video Magazine showed up and conducted some interviews. Really fun show. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed up. All pieces from this show which do not sell in-store at PIQ will come back to our warehouse and go up for sale on our website in about 3 weeks. For the time being, if you are passing through Grand Central over the next few weeks, please do walk into the Shuttle Passage and go check out these pieces in PIQ. Take pics and tweet! Tag us @tenacioustoys and @monsterkolor and we will RT!

For 100+ pics of this show, click here!

By the way, PIQ now has Monster Kolor paint markers (same ones used by MCA in his demo) in-store to purchase, in case you're local and you want to take a crack at customizing your own toy!
