New Art Toy Release by Creo Design - SLUMBERBEAN

by

Slumber x Creo Design are proud to present the long awaited release of the SlumberBean 'Flavour Friends' series.

SlumberBean was originally created by illustrator Sam Hadley, also known as Slumber in 2010.
The Slumberbean already stars in a series of illustrated prints but now he's ready to snooze around your home in a new limited series of Art Figures called 'Flavour Friends'. SlumberBean features in the Pictoplasma Character Compendium, and has been exhibited in Bristol, Berlin and Madrid.

Cast in Creo Design’s unique PU resin and sitting 5 inches tall, SlumberBean has been hand crafted, cast and painted to perfection by Creo Design. He even comes tucked-up in his own bean can with an exclusive label designed by Slumber. The SlumberBean & Friends are now waiting to relax anywhere you like.

The first edition 'Original Flavour' drops Friday 01.11.2013 at mid day GMT from slumberbean.com for £30 Ex shipping. Each Flavour is limited to 20pcs. The first edition of Original Flavour will be 10 pcs with 10 more to follow.  So be quick to grab your Original Flavour before they're gone.

Please note this is a work of art and not a toy. Slumberbean is a sold cast art piece with no articulation.

Stay tuned to their twitter for flavour updates. Also see more of SlumberBean on Facebook and Behance
You can also see more of Creo Design work on his Facebook.

NYCC 2013: Sunday Oct 13 featuring our signing with 123KLAN and packing up

by

Absolutely amazing custom action figure by Jason Chalker & Kris Dulfer. THANKS GUYS!!!

... and Jason & Kris even made a carded 2-pack of me and Steph! How fucking cool is this.

Clutter created a whole series of trading cards featuring all the DTA finalists! We didn't win, so don't take this as a proclamation of Tenacious winning. We all got cards in the series!

Humbled. Really? This blog you're reading was a finalist in this category. Amazing. Thank you.

Yes, that is actually KLOR & SCIEN of 123KLAN signing at our table. Thanks Wolfgang for setting that up!

Last pic. VISEone at 1am Monday morning. I took him to an American diner after he helped me deep into the night, packing up, loading up and unloading. Forever my German brother. Thank you buddy. So good to spend time with you again.

October 19, 2013 at Kidrobot San Francisco: Big C's Bay Area Artist Series to Benefit Pit Bulls

by
TOMORROW OCTOBER 19th at Kidrobot SF: a custom toy event to benefit Bad Rap, a pit bull rescue organization.

So this started one day when a fellow artist and I had lunch together. He said there was an LA series and that we should have a Bay Area series. There were a ton of reasons that we decided to make it a charity thing... Bad Rap was the natural choice. They are big enough that they make a difference, yet small enough that a small amount of money will make a big impact. If you don't know about Bad Rap, you should check them out

After we got this all together and started recruiting artists, the KRSF manager (Korena), said she wanted to have the show at their shop. Originally we were going to do a blind box series and sell them online, but a show sounded like fun and a lot more exposure. We decided that silent auction would be more fun for the event then blind boxes, so that was that.

This event, for me, went from being exposure driven to being all about the dogs. So much so that when a SoCal artist asked if he could be a part of it, I was all for it. So I guess it should be called the Bay Area Artist Series and 2bitHack. Haha.

It's been a lot of work, and I wasn't able to advertise nearly enough, but it's gonna be a ton of fun. I'm starting the auctions at a WAY cheap price $20 and there will be BINs of $150, in case any ones sees a piece(s) that they can not live without. And each auction win comes with a raffle ticket for the 8" Golden Ticket dunny by artist Salamander. This event is sponsored by Jarritos. There will also be food on hand.

I'm hoping to sell out the pieces, possibly get some more monetary donations and maybe even place some dogs in good homes. I think that's the entire story.
