Design a Dynomighty Wallet, Get Sales, Get Paid, Go Global!

by
Dynomighty Wallet design by SENaspace
Dynomighty Wallet design by SENA

Dynomighty Announces their "Artist Collective" program, designed to encourage submissions of new designs for their MightyWallet Tyvek wallets. Tyvek is that crazy material the USPS uses in their Priority Mail packaging. You can print on it like paper, but it doesn't tear.

Artist Collective is a creative channel where up and coming, developed, or masters of the fine arts can produce a MightyWallet® of their own design. Artists from around the globe have joined in and started sharing their art to inspire others...not to mention create an amazing wallet! Once the artist's design is approved they can choose to launch it immediately or save it to coincide with a show or event to help cross-promote. It puts the power of promotion into the artists hands.

Once the design is launched, there is a 30 day window in which they will need to have 30 backers support their design. If the wallet design clears the 30 by 30 challenge, the wallet will go into production. Any and all backers will receive the wallet. A few of the most successful designs will be offered to over 1600 stores across 66 countries around the globe. So not only do you get to create a wallet of your own design, but if your design clears the 30 by 30 challenge, it will be seen around the globe.

This unique project is part of Dynomighty's commitment to encourage art and design. Founded by an artist, Dynomighty has and always will support art, artists, and those that choose to Be Mighty!

So here's the thing: if you're an artist, and you are ALREADY producing artwork in various forms to sell online, you should DEFINITELY take advantage of this program to get products with your art on it distributed around the world. Worldwide recognition is NO JOKE. As an artist it should be your main goal, if you hope to support yourself on the sale of artwork alone. You're gonna have to sell both original art, and products like this with your art printed on them, in order to make it.

And you KNOW I would never push you to do something that's a waste of time. Money MUST be the end goal.

Basically the program works like this: go here, click on CREATE, and upload your design. From that point you have 30 days to get 30 people to pre-order your design. That's as easy as a little social media work, or blogging work, or an email blast to your mailing list (because you DO have a mailing list, right?). MightyWallets are $15 at retail- super cheap for customers. If you have a mailing list of 300 people, and you might get 10% to spring for it, you're golden.

You can see this process in action here, where buyers would browse designs.

OK so once you get 30 of your people to back your wallet design (it's like a mini 30-day Kickstarter), your wallet goes into production. Your backers pay and get theirs and ALSO you get 15% of the profits generated by the sales of your wallets on the Dynomighty site.

ALSO, the most successful wallet designs are offered up at wholesale to Dynomighty's impressive network of retailers in 60+ countries!

To sum up: if your design goes through, you get MONEY and GLOBAL RECOGNITION. What the hell are you waiting for?

Go find Dynomighty on their website, Facebook and YouTube.

Jon-Paul Kaiser's Locodonta Dunny Signing Schedule extended

by
It seems that UK artist Jon-Paul Kaiser didn't get enough of us "yanks" during SDCC, he has decided to have a few more signings for his recent Locodonta Dunny release. Since Jon-Paul Kaiser is a UK artist, collectors don't get many chances to attend his signings or events. This is a great opportunity to meet the soft spoken Jon-Paul Kaiser in person, at least for anyone in Northern California, who is able to make it down to either Kidrobot SF or Dragatomi in Sacramento.

First, on Wednesday July 24th, Jon-Paul Kaiser will be in San Francisco signing at the Kidrobot SF store.

On Thursday July 25th, Jon-Paul Kaiser will be in Sacramento, signing at the Dragatomi store.

For anyone in the area of either store, be sure to head on over and show JPK some love.

In Control Of My Own Destiny busts by A Little Stranger

by
An artist being able to self produce a Designer Toy or art piece is becoming more and more feasible with the growing popularity of resin. UK artist Holly Stanway, aka A Little Stranger, is a part of that trend with her latest release of 2 resin pieces titled "In Control Of My Own Destiny".

From A Little Stranger's blog:
These two busts are hand cast from my original sculpt, and painted in their own unique colourway; one light to dark, one dark to light. Both pieces have glossy gold eyes. Each is one of a kind and not to be repeated.
Busts are sold separately. Each bust is approximately 3.5″ tall and comes secured to a solid, felt bottomed base ready for display. Available now in the A Little Stranger Shop.

In Control of My Own Destiny Bust (front) - A Little Stranger

In Control of My Own Destiny Bust (Back) - A Little Stranger
These busts look really similar to the upper portion of a work in progress sculpt revealed on A Little Stanger's blog back in January, which featured a standing 8" sculpt, also titled "In Control Of My Own Destiny".

As for these two uniquely painted 3.5 inch busts, they are available now for 60 GBP plus shipping (about $92 plus shipping) from Holly's online shop. I do anticipate more unique versions to be released in the future, getting the most out of any created mold.

A Peak At New Resin From Kid Ink Industries and Forces of Dorkness

by
Our friends Kris Dulfer of Kid Ink Industries and Scott Kinnebrew of Forces of Dorkness often share work-in-progress shots with us on the various Facetograms and Twitbooks.  Today we get some serious teases for upcoming releases.  First up we've got Mr. Kinnebrew's Boba T.  Intergalactic bounty hunter and gold-necklace laden muscle man, he's gonna pity the fool that does grab one of these new resin figures at NYCC this October and all that jibba' jabba'.

Next we've got a whole slew of pieces from Kris Dulfer.  Sharing some of his classic pieces like Delskull and Love-Chain key chains and PonderBoxes in new Heisenberg-approved glassy clear and ice blue colors.  Also, a bag of... well whatever that might be.

Watch Scott Kinnebrew and Kris Dulfer's FB pages for more info.

by
Biohazard Mousemask Murphy is looking like a true methlab expert, sporting a yellow biohazard suit and a black gasmask he's ready to make you feel better after the final episode of the last season of Breaking Bad.

Back in the days, after Pearl Harbour's defeat, US Government intensified the production of Gasmasks for their population, fearing a chemical attack. Walt Disney himself authorized a special edition of a GasMask with Mickey's face on it for the kids. This was taken by Ron English and Mousemask Murphy was born!

Ron English, known for satirical and controversial artworks took the counterpoint and switched situations for a great vinyl figure. Mousemask Murphy stands 10" (24 cm) tall and comes in a nicely designed Header bag.

The Mintyfresh Exclusive Biohazard Mousemask Murphy is limited to 100 pieces worldwide.
